*spoilers* The thing that I think I liked most about this episode is that while the vast majority of the crew wound up butting heads with their alt selves, alt-Boimler was nothing but supportive and encouraging to our Boilmler the entire time. Just always being like "Hey, it doesn't matter what route *I* took, all that matters is that you have what it takes to be the best and you just need to do is believe in yourself." And there wasn't some dark twist with alt-Boilmler where it turns out he's secretly evil or anything. He's legit just a chill guy who wants you to be the best version of yourself that you can be
I personally think that alt-Boimler was replaced by his universe's transporter clone in some fashion...which is why he reacted so strongly to alt-Mariner (Becky) trying to replace our Mariner.
@@bradleychan5684 with the latest episode it looks like you are true in your guesses. Our clone Boimler seems to have had a beard (at some point at least) and is a good captain. In this reality the more confident Boimler of the two could have been sent to Cerritos, while the less confident Boimler stayed on the Titan (instead of stepping forward). They had only a little difference in their fate after the cloning, but at that point already had different patterns of behavior. I guess this due to one arriving safely as an unscathed hero, while the other sacrificing himself and surviving what he thought was a death trap. So one lives to be a successful hero who came up with a plan to save everybody (and is boosted morally by staying on the Titan), while the other continues his life as an unwanted survivor who had a very close to death experience (and is further repressed by being sent to Cerritos). In the alt version the hero could have volunteered to go back to Cerritos and the "unwanted survivor" stayed on Titan.
Spoilers alert. It turns out that in the last episode, even in the prime universe Freeman eventually did get sent to Starbase 80 just like the alt-Freeman but for a much different positive reason that ends in a good note. This once again that while similar fates almost mirrors these two events, the suble changes confirms T'lyn's report on the low percentage of divergeance. Another example is when we see how alt-Rutherford ultimately decided to shed his humanity altogether just for the sake of efficiency, our Rutherford did the opposite by re-embracing back his humanity.

Probably a transporter clone tried to some S31 bs later down the road.

@@theplaguegamer6216 Probably happened around the time that Mariner went there in our universe.
