    Fun fact Courtney:
I learned in geology that the Appalachians were once connected to the Caledonian mountains of Europe. That includes Norway, so you're not far off 🙂

What a great video! Seems like the perfect day in Flam, maybe we’ll try the same things when we’ll be there with MSC Euribia. Thanks :)

I would highly recommend the Fjord Sauna, it was one of my favorite memories of the trip. But I think I'd also take the Flam Railway if I went back to Flam. Many people we talked to, including all the others in our sauna, had done that. Still, I loved our waterfall hike and all the things we did!

@@MillerFamilyAdventures6 we are really trying to find activities that are less crowded with less tourists, especially hikes too. That’s why I love your videos of the cruise. In Alesund you have just taken a bus that takes you to the foot of Sukkertoppen, right? Can you pay the bus by card right at the entrance or how did that work?

@@maxlattwesen That's exactly what we were doing, we got so tired of the crowds! Yes, in Alesund you could pay with card right on the bus. We used Apple Maps set to transit mode to figure out which stop we needed to get off at, and then just checked it with the bus driver when we got on the bus. Actually, I talked to the second hand shop owner in downtown Alesund to know how the bus system worked 🙂 I think you'll love this trip!

Will be taking this cruise next month😊. Did you book any excursions or did all by yourself?

    • @MillerFamilyAdventures6

We did not do any of the cruise-line excursions. We booked our activities ourselves. For the activities that we did, I put links in the description of this video. We found it very easy to find hikes on the AllTrails app, and I downloaded them before we went on the cruise. The fjord sauna can be booked online as well. Hope the cruise goes well!

Hey, thank you for sharing your impressions.
A question about the Fjord Sauna. What time slot did you have? Because I'm wondering if 2:30 pm - 4 pm will work out if the cruise ship leaves at 5 pm or if that will be too close.
    Thanks for your feedback.

We went 2:30-4:00 and the ship left at 5:00. It’s easily walkable to the ship in 10 minutes. Also, you can leave the sauna early if you are nervous. But I thought it was enough time.
