it's pretty amazing how well that camo pattern works, even just the od green/tan of the chest pouches blend well - however, those AKs sure stick out like sore thumbs.
I felt like these patterns were easy to spot every single time, and they actually under-performed to my expectations. I will say though that the dark one seemed to conceal better because it imitated a shadow. In fact, that pea green suit is one of the least effective prints I've seen in any of these videos. Of course, we're all just looking at a video.
I've used the Google to translate, hope whole text is understandable. So, finally, I can write a full review about the KZS, but not about direct use, but about preparing for it. I hope the potential buyer will find it useful. First, what you need a KZS suit for. 1. If for use for its intended purpose, i.e. in the event of a nuclear explosion, etc. - you can purchase, but you are unlikely to be given a guarantee of performance. 2. If for use as a camouflage robe, wearing fishing in the summer, etc., then prepare for a long process of working with your hands. The entire robe is very well impregnated with a pungent and nauseatingly smelling chemical compound that can cause not only irritation, but also, presumably, poisoning or a strong allergic reaction - all this is extremely unpleasant, and the cost of restoring health will be much higher than the price of KZS. My KZS of light green color, release of 1981, Gukovo - I washed it three times. The first - immediately after the purchase-soaked three hours in water, then drained it, soaked another half in a new one, then soaped and rinsed, finally rinsed the soap in three waters, hung up to dry. Result: the smell remained intense and sharp. The second one - a couple of days later-soaked the pants in a solution of vinegar 9% - 100 ml, salt-50 g and one tablet of NS DCCA per bucket of 5 liters, then washed with soap and rinsed. Result: the smell remained, but became only slightly less sharp. The third time-I soaked my pants in a solution of baking soda 100 g, salt 50 g and 1.5 tablets of NS DHCC, then washed them with soap, rinsed them almost to clean water (this will require 20-30 times). The result-the smell is minimal, but there is a little. According to the last method, I washed my jacket, then washed it with soap, rinsed it and the chemical composition almost to clean water for a long time, and finally washed my pants and jacket again, but this time with Japanese liquid soap for dishes and children's accessories. Hung up to dry, almost dried and pants and jacket - the smell of impregnation is not fixed or very weak. Thus, to the amount of 500-1000 rubles per KZS, add the consumption of warm water in a huge amount, soap, soda, salt and chlorine, as well as personal time for hand washing this camouflage semi-finished product.
Currently washing mine now, with gloves of course. I also decided to add my gas mask while doing this because I felt dizzy at first for a short time, nothing serious. Even if this might shorten the life on the dye it’s still worth it from a health perspective. But as you said it seems to take AGES for the water to be clear even after washing it 10+ times. And for the other people out there please don’t wash them in your bathtub or washing machine, you don’t know what these suits can leave behind.
@@splittertarn2 I've finally given up, packed it and thrown into trash container. It's the thing, that dangerous and worth nothing. Now I have Afgan soviet costume, made of 100% cotton fabrik, and enjoy it everytime I wear - without any troubles/issues with toxic chemicals from Cold War era.
@@visvald_of_volga_area Understandable, well it seems like it worked out fine for my part, now when I dip it into water the water doesn’t turn yellow anymore. I guess I got rid of most of the chemicals.
+ratagris21 Thanks man, I'll try to do it as much as possible. We filmed another two man video this same day (Gorka). So the next video will feature a two man display as well.
+Cyclone Outdoors Thanks man, we just film though, if there is something with the lightening between scenes its just naturally how it happens. Literally we just move from one spot to another and film about 20 scenes before calling it quits. I appreciate the support!
hmmm pretty good pattern. I still prefer the good old "KLMK" (white berezka) pattern, as it seems to make a better job breaking the silhouette with that light-simulating sorcery. These ones seem to go almost a solid color from a distance.
+Brent0331 Another awesome video Brent and Bruce it was really cool that u you used to men. In the future you should consider a Q&A video that would be very interesting to hear more about your military background.
+Karsten Lapointe Maybe in the future. I've got a lot of projects on my mind at the moment. Good video. Both variants are good camo. Although I was able to see the lighter pattern more often. I still would been had 20% of time. AKs need darker wood and mags. Thanks. Best
+waffenmacht People complain about that to me all the time lol. "Why is your gun ruined with all that paint & not black?" Or "Why don't you cerakote it instead of spray painting it all the time." "So I blend better & so the colors can easily change with the environment." I say
I've got a newer version of these suits, called a Sumrak. I think the pattern is based off the KZS but it's slightly different and also reversible. On one side is a very bright green with mustard, digitized leaf patterns. The other side basically subdued.
+ViperBite The Sumrak is a bit different - KZS was turned out as a cheaper alternative to KLMK - Berezka in the 1980s. Sumrak is an evolution of Autumn Yellow Berezka, rather than the cheaper and more available KZS.
The reverse side of the Sumrak seems to be good for Autumn foliage but the primary side is way too vibrant and looks better suited for summer grasslands, especially considering how thin the fabric is.
ViperBite Nevertheless. KZS was designed to be cheap, affordable, and an easy alternative to more quality suits. Sumrak isn't, it's primarily seen use with MVD and FSB units and is by all accounts quite well made as opposed to the almost burlap-like fabric of KZS oversuits.
@@VelmiVelkiZruthe wasn’t trying to talk about the kzs he was referring to similarity of the berezka gold leaf when printed on a sumrak and the difference in color

I have a black condor 3 day assult pack and I don't like black to much and I was thinking of trying to put a tiger stripe pattern on it what would be the best way to go about it?
Lapolicegear.com has three day packs for $29.99. get one of those and use the condor as a edc backpack. They are good quality. You are going to pay that in spray paint if not more. But if you are set on changing the color of the condor, spray a couple of coats of tan, get local vegetation and a snipers veil or mesh laundry bag, and spray over the veg and or veg with od or brown in stipes.
frankie Aranda no problem that's how I paint my rifle and other equipment. It works. And with the veil or mesh you'll get a snakeskin like pattern where the stripes are. Plus it looks like it adds texture. Helping with camouflage. But like Brent said it'll take alot with fabric.
Good video. But where you purchased your other suit(friend)? The color is very dark. There are two variants of colors: Beryozka/Birch and Oak yellow / yellow birch/Beryozka. But in general, this video is good, thank you.
+TRAKTOR IVANOVICH There are multiple variations of color in KZS. It all depends on the factory /dyes used...
