I love this song's blend of Undertale and Deltarune motifs
It has Gaster's Theme motifs throughout the track in the background, a Once Upon a Time motif that plays mainly in the story, and even a His Theme motif. Man...Toby Fox really has a way to get our eyes flooded with tears from the nostalgia, doesn't he?

From the beginning to end we heard new ost and its leitmotifs with new characters, new story and new battle system. And only characters on the surface (most of them) are the remains of undertale.

Maybe it's before the main story of the game.
Keep in mind this would play as the PS4 background music (plus the background changing to the Ruins) if you bought UNDERTALE for the PS4

When I finished the game and reopened it...I was amazed to see this screen...what a beautiful remix by the way...
I absolutely adore this song. For some reason, the piano notes just really gives me like a Kingdom Hearts type of vibe to it. Just finished this game my first time tonight and I have to say I'm already really wanting more. I know Toby Fox said he doesn't think he could make a game that would basically top Undertale, but I do think this game could easily do just that. Although I loved Undertale, for some reason it just didn't have that same impact on me as finishing the first chapter of this game did. Playing as Kris just felt a lot more relatable as a character to me. I really hope Toby can be able to finish and put out the full thing one day.

Every single time I hear this soundtrack, I just feel instantly comforted. Like a hug where you could lean back in somebody's arms and just feel.. safe. Deltarune is my comfort game, and it's like I'm reminded of my love for it everytime I hear this soundtrack. Deltarune is one of the few things that makes me want to aggressively hug every single character. Toby Fox, I know for a fact you're gonna put an extremely emotional scene in a future chapter some day. I'm ready to cry my eyes out.

this brings so many feelings rushing back... my question is... why doesn't replaying Undertale have the same effect...? ;~;
Because memories are irreplaceable, and retracing your steps will never shine as bright as your first time.
And never forget, one of the driving themes of Undertale was how forcing events to repeat diminishes their effect on you.
Flowey was forced to do that over and over, and turned into a monster for it.
Sans is nihilistic simply because he believes you'll always Reset.
Replaying the game more than is necessary to experience it directly conflicts with its tenets.

Man this gives me the same feels when hearing the songs in kingdom hearts opening menu it feels quite and peaceful. Yet this was as good or even better I truly loved it 😍

...I said this before, but I don't appear to have commented it.
This song is in keening, it's reaching out. It's *screaming* for its other half that isn't present in its baseline form. It's one half of "Undertale", without the other.
It feels hollow, empty. It reminds me of the title sceen for Metroid Fusion, where the crescendo of the original Metroid theme just can't... quite... start.
This cover understands that better than any other, it fills in the emptiness, and it brings us home.
Fundamentally, the meaning of Undertale, in all its myriad aspects, as a song, as a game, as a story, as an experience is the meeting of you (Once Upon a Time) and Asriel (His Theme.)
Deltarune gives us friend after friend, but despite that, We're still missing the one friend that mattered most in Undertale.

I like how there's a faint "His Theme" motif playing at 1:29. However, it is distant. Quiet. A fitting addition into the overall main piece, yet overall just barely touching it.
