He walks so slowly like he is on an endless vacation 😁
Actually, I'm going to try saving your time. Here's the entirety of the game, no need to waste 2.5 hours of your life:
The three characters are on Mars, two protagonists, one villain. The male protagonist is former military and has an old school personality. He can not fight because he is "old". He can not run or jog, presumably because he is old. The female protagonist is cute and flirty and has a thing for zombie movies, talks to the male for the first half through his headset, and the story takes her point of view to find the male after he is incapacitated. She runs exactly once, as a scripted event. The villain is a male that was in charge of the old worn down drilling and research outpost. He went crazy (or possibly just homicidal) and you never learn why... in fact you get teased by some of his conversations with the female because he repeatedly states that "you don't know what you are doing" and states exactly once that he's just "trying to contain this". What? You don't know. The devs probably don't know. Non of the characters had a clue, even the protagonists make a point of repeatedly saying "what the hell is going on here" and never finding out.
Audio and text logs slowly fill in the story in the vaguest way possible. I will now list the ENTIRETY of what you learn:
The outpost is old, crucial equipment is constantly damaged and in need of repairs, likely due to a cycle of extremely harsh wind called "storm season".
"I5" batteries are supposedly unstable old tech that functions as keys that can unlock any door and power any machinery. They never explode or short out, seem perfectly stable to me.
The base is on lockdown, with no indication of why, and you never find out why. Presumably the villain did it.
The villain has killed the other 5 personnel that worked at the research outpost. While there are indications he had arguments about the ethics of the researching going on there, you never find out why he killed his "coworkers and friends". All corpses encountered have their eyes wide open, one has his arm severed, but otherwise no indications whatsoever of monster/alien activity.
The villain attacks the male protagonist upon first meeting. Player switches to female character, who goes in the base looking for the male. The villain has a slightly creepy "sociopath trying to not act sociopathic" meeting with her before attacking her and chasing her into the base, but he gets trapped behind a door.
The female walks through the base learning about the research that had been going on.
The female's hand would shake occasionally, presumably from fear of the villain.
Some "Compound #" was being tested on plants. #23 was the first "success" it caused rapid growth and subsequent death of the plants. Special "Planum" soil is being extracted from digging deep into Mars, and used as a "catalyst" for the Compound samples to do their work on the plants. It's not working.
A bee was exposed to the Compound, but reintroduced back into the aviary colony anyway. No significant effects.
Compound 26 is stable, causing growth without immediate death. Frontier Project managers are happy to hear this and scheduled a team to collect samples.
"Every time I see that logo (Frontier Project) trouble follows"
At some point employees got "sick" from exposure. Exposure to the Compound # research? Exposure to whatever soil is in the mine? You won't find out. There is also no indication of what this exposure caused, patients had minor symptoms like dehydration.
Eventually finding the male, the female receives a wound from the villain, and then presumably dies by an axe to the face. Player switches back to the male after NOT directly witnessing this.
The villain had stated that hands shaking is the first sign, and it gets worse after that.
That's it. That's all you learn. The game ends by the male protagonist sitting next to a truck, staring at the injured villain wielding an axe. The villain gets shot in the back by 2 security guards and dies. The security guards ask the male to identify himself and inquire if he can respond. The male just silently stares at them, leaving the player in the same state of mind as he is "I don't know what the F--- just happened, who you are, who I am, or where I am. I need a drink."
Credits roll.
Thanks for your post. I lost an hour watching this, but you saved me from wasting more time on this bad story.
Earlier in the game wyatt, the crazy psycho, says that someone had caught a reaction from something and was severely dehydrated and vomited blood
This comment is underrated. Should be pinned to the top.
Thank you so much for the explanation .. seems like watching a movie that the ending was unclear.
Thank you sir, you saves my time a lot 🤝🏻
i just cancelled my download after seeing this hahaha
saved myself 30 bucks. thanks dude
I just love, that you just play, the game, with no talking.
Thanks

Well he's been doing no commentary walkthrough for years Mike.

The helmet thing was def a Darwin award
dumb guy and a smart sassy female foil, such great writing
He thought it'd be fine for there was good air to breath. He didn't know it was going to be dangerous. I was like, your helmet dude. You must carry it along.
Glad to know that someone else, in the not too distant future, got drunk and ate a soil sample!
you got drunk and ate a soil sample?
This is the most aggravating kind of story. SLOW burn that culminates in: no explanation of villain identity origin or motivation, no climax, a needless character death, and an intentionally unresolved cliffhanger.
I want a refund and didn't even pay for or play the game. Thanks for suffering throught this +MKIceAndFire
Before the end, when they got him down. They sinned on horror survivor rule nr. one. If it is down, make sure it never gets up again. My interest crashed immediately. A good playthrough anyways. Thanks.
2 hours 20 mins of walking around. 10mins of dialogue and action. Much wow.
Love watching your videos. It’s like watching a movie instead of a game
I thought I was the only person whom thought that.
I won't buy a game until I watch MKs play through first saved me a lot of money lol 😂😂

1:52:56 press X for panic attack
Very weak ending and overall story. I still didn't get why he did all of that. Because they developed some kind of soil? Wtf
very dangerous soil ,it was poisoning the crew somehow Wyatt seem to be aging quickly ,Helen's boss basically force Wyatt's suspension so he cant interrupt her work
Seems like:
Wyatt was worried about the sickness that seemed to be coming from crew in contact with the soil and its soil food.
Wyatt then reported this to his superiors.
Wyatt was then suspended.
Wyatt then became a disgruntled, paranoid, employee, and proceeded to murder everyone involved with the base in order to make sure he’s in control of what is able to get out.
@@angry7904 still a very weak story which they failed to deliver

Not really. They have made some really good vidlogs and stuff they included to explain the story like dead space 2 does. But this channel skipped all of it to be the first to upload this game to get most views to make as much revenue as possible. Ive watched a better playthrough thats more than a hour longer
@AbuHajarAlBugatti it still sounds like utter shite though.
Beautiful looking graphics. I actually enjoyed playing through the interactive story. It was rather short though.
Does 59:08 look beautiful to you? What's going on with that dark trail behind the scalpel? This game looks blotchy.
@@user-ud4il8wu3z The game looks great. The trail is a graphical glitch with raytracing and mirrors on certain gpus/implementations. It happened because the surface behind it was a mirror. It's quite common in a bunch of games that utilize raytracing.
When you see Troy Baker listed as as voice actor of a secondary character, it's a flashing warning that he's probably the main villain, not the red herring they throw out early on.
It was more of a tech demo that anything…. Wish it had a full fledged out story
Story was mid, could’ve been better.
fleshed out.
It would've been better if he did wtf he was supposed to do and listened when she told him not to be playing Fredy from the mystery crew.
Similar to the Order 1886
my question is, Jack repeatedly said hes looking forward to vacation, after seeing the 2nd/3rd dead body, he should have high tailed right there and left.
Exactly these woke writers have to go
it's a storm he can't leave, thats the reason why help isnt on its way
And she goes to rescue him armed with little knife.
Looks more like a game that the devs creates to show how well they can develop models and environments, than to create a game story with a purpose mixed with a interesting gameplay.
In resume, seems like a portfolio game.
This should be 50x more longer!
It is better than Calisto protocol
Reminds me of The order 1886
Got war flashbacks from RDR2 at 12:20 lol.
Jessica's aloofness was making me angry at the beginning, like mam, That man is alone in a fort that should be full of people and you're MOCKING HIM?!
Bro could’ve killed the bad guy with the axe after he knocked him out this game is so corny
True but who are the armed men gonna believe?
@@Michael-ci8jywe’ll seeing the evidence an protocols the company took (sure they made logs of it) of having wyatt removed off site.. itll just look like a done deal..and let jack go.
I could imagine RE characters in this setting. It would be a hell of a game.
It gave me the same vibes
After the second dead body why not just leave?
Well i guess we wouldnt have had a video if he did that but im just thinking logically.
Because the strong, smarter wahmen can't save him then. Same old shit..and it was going so well.
„Oh there was a corpse!
….wait a minute lemme just play some billiard and joke about good old times“
2:23:15 Should have learned from the zombie movies rule #2!
The dialogue often doesn't fit the situations or happenings!.. They should be stressed about all that's unraveling before them but yet they seem to be casual in their exchanges. it's just weird lol.
Best walking simulator so far, 2 hours of it...
Thank you so much for this informative video. I was on the fence about buying this game but seeing this, I now see clearly how juvenile the writing is; that sarcastic, belittling tone of youth being spoken by masculine guy is just something I'm not willing to experience. Not to mention a man with dedication, in order to keep that profession of his, would be more collected.
Slow burn to an underwhelming end
I have to admit as much as I’ve seen the other reviews I still really enjoy this game. It gave me this eerie feeling especially since we weren’t alone the entire time and Wyatt was there most likely watching. Not only that seeing the security footage of Adams dying and even Wyatt walking around just gave me chills. I like how it wasn’t always action at every corner too that we actually had some calmness here and there it wasn’t the best game but it was definitely good in my opinion.
I would have loved to see more characters though (Alive too). And maybe a bit more reaction from the characters since Jacks reactions didn’t seem so genuine to me. And I feel like there was just too much slow walking for me but other than that it was a good game. The story line had me hooked for sure.
Edit: I also have to admit it took me a while to figure out what was happening during some parts of the gameplay but it was honestly so much fun and I couldn’t believe I was right with my guesses. If you like long games where you have time to make guesses this is definitely a game that would work for you.
@AwomensLove yup! Video game wise I just like to interact with items and read notes left behind by anyone in the game. Not to mention I’m not a big fan of jumpscares so walking around and just having time to look at things is nice.
Can any angels out there please do an audio described play through please. Thank you in advance! !
i guess he will regret for the rest of his life not finishing the villain. what a tragic ending.
The best part about this game is all the walking. Then there are the conversations and the waiting for something to happen.
Amazing cooperation between Polish and UK teams. I think regarding Sci-Fi themes I have not seen such a good design / concept since System Shock 2. Great Art direction.
Surprisingly short, I guess the game studio just want to showcase what they can do to attract investors and publishers.
for those lost in the storyline, its the soil on mars thats “infectious” causing the sickness, wyatt thought it could be radiation poisoning ( could be also seeing how irrational people were being) .. at the end he sent a package to his family and if you pay attention its blood on the floor or what-not.
"Moooom, can we buy Death Stranding?"
"We have a walking simulator at home already"
Yea just leave the psycho to get up again twice within a few mins, makes perfect sense

First several minutes of this game convey quality that's refreshing
the first minutes of this game felt kinda off to me, I let go of the gamepad and the main guy moved by himself, this "game" plays itself.
There is no story in this game. It's like a tech demo
There is a story but it’s explained in the first 30 minutes
it's surreal seeing Arthur Morgan exploring a definitely haunted space station
So funny that he did something and my first thought was "...Arthur....that you?" and lo and behold, Roger Clark when i check imdb xD
Reminds me of The Shining with the axe scene xD
For much of the game I've had strong Firewatch vibes.
But, if not for incredible voice acting and graphics I'd say the game is pretty flat. The easiest plotline is to say 'I know something you don't', and go from there ... While this was a game of exploration piecing the pieces together it felt amazing, but the rest and especially the ending just ... nah. Maybe I'm too old for simple plots like this, but it didn't vibe with me.
Thank you for the early walkthrough!! Good job as ever!
37:18 the music should have changed to synch with her joke.
Aliens???? Space zombies???Mutant Moster?? Ghaaaashh WTF IS IT??
DEV: IT WAS JUST A GUY AND RADIO GIRL FUUUUU
All the weird stuff, a crazy guy killin folks, the guy kidnapping your friend and actively hunting you down...and you simply walk past and leave behind: torches, knives, axes, hammers, screwdrivers, loos pieces of metal, and hell even glass could be used for self defense. This Jess and Jack kinda deserve to be hunted at this point. Due to their immense stupidity, i am totally rooting for the bad guy.
The main character's accent is all over the place.
He's Irish American. He has both accents that come out pending on what he says .
His name is Roger Clark.
He lives in both Ireland and America. His USA home is NY his Irish home is in county Sligo Ireland lol
I hope he finds Lenny in space 😂😂

the moment I found out it wasnt aliens but a human being to be afraid off, i wasnt as scared anymore but damn...the soundtrack is half of the game. I was sincerely spacing all the way, the setting...that new thing that Unreal Engine 5 provides. Sure..the gameplay is limited but thats what it is. I enjoyed the ride and gave me a great experience to remember.
Native 4K??? Probably in my dreams!!!! Please don't cheat people. With this crushing optimization, even the RTX4090 kneels providing a console experience
This game is literally walking simulator with the added fun of pressing X a million times. Not worth the time or money tbh. Good graphics though.
Then all the FPS horror games from Soma to Outlast to Amnesia and all the countless newer ones, and games like the Dark Horse Anthology and Heavy Rain and Until Dawn are all just walking sinulators where you press X not worth their story? Your opinion is really idiotic and bullcrap. Stick to your call of duty part 32
The voice acting in this game is pretty dang good. The way the girl says "Oooook" in the beginning was so damn cute.
Love your videos. You roll through games quick. Great job keep it up!!!
Dissapointed really.... The build up was great!
well that was underwhelming from any gameplay related angle
I love me a slow burn but they need to a run button.
Well that was better than any movies I've seen in ages, love your work.
I have something strange my object doesn't change from "enter the comms hub".
Gorgeous graphics and nice game, but it's obvious the screenwriters were damn lazy. I'm not talking about dramatic irony here: anyone, I mean just anyone with a modicum of training and instinct, would know from the get-go that something awful is going on here. At no point do the writers make the effort to find a way to justify the initial gullibility of the protagonist.
Did you get into Wyatt's room? And if so, how?
Here is the story to save you the whole 2 hours:
The game unfolds on Mars with three characters: two protagonists and one villain. The male protagonist, a former military member, is deemed "old" and unable to fight or run. The female protagonist talks with him through a headset and later searches for him once contact is suddenly lost. The villain, in charge of a deteriorating outpost, becomes homicidal for unknown reasons. The story lacks clarity, with characters frequently expressing confusion.
The narrative is gradually revealed through audio and text logs. Key points include:
1. The outpost facing equipment issues due to harsh wind,
2. the use of "I5" batteries as universal keys,
3. the base being on lockdown without explanation, and
4. the villain killing colleagues.
The female protagonist uncovers details about failed experiments with Compounds and "Planum" soil.
Symptoms from exposure to these elements are mentioned, but specifics remain elusive.
The female protagonist encounters the villain, and seemingly dies off-screen.
The game concludes with security guards shooting the villain. The male protagonist, remains silent when questioned by the guards, leaving players with uncertainty. Game end.
Thank you for doing this play through. I am glad I did not purchase this game.
come on jack you should have finished him with the fire extinguisher...nice game!
41:04 the microexpression to her words, such a small detail yet it happened
this game already feels like so much care in the opening bits its amazing
59:08 is how the game looks most of the time.
I definately apreciate the slow burn this horror game has. Too many high budget horror games nowadays like to go full action horror after the first horror jumpscare.
Also:
Wyatt is a piece of explicit
Edit:
Wow, Wyatt is just collapsing communications. He’s not telling anyone what the problem is, which in turn makes him super shady and untrustworthy, which is the leading cause of all the drama right now lol
So far, i am at the 2 hour mark, and 5 out of the 6 are accounted for. Which means nick is the last one, which means there shouldn’t be any more surprises.
Very nice game, but why is the camera so close to the guy? We can't see anything... The graphics are so nice and you can't see them... Are there any mods for this? For the PC version to fix the camera?
Wait so no space zombies?
Something's wrong with Jess' right foot. When it comes down while walking, it pushes back, like a horse's hoof stamping, then slides out to the side. (It's sorta a "hitch in her get-along.") I don't know if this could be patched, or not--? It's really only noticeable when the camera's pulled back. Otherwise, the whole thing is beautiful, if a bit repetitive; how many rooms does Jack walk into and out?
Two and a half hour demo. I think everything was great about this game, except the story. I hate how people who are supposed to have brains don't use them in times of distress. Also, the Wyatt guy was Jason Vorhees' cousin. He just kept absorbing punishment and getting back up. Simply unbelievable. Stabbed in the gut, chopped in the back of the knee (cutting tendons and muscle tissue) and he stands up like nothing happened to him. He was allowed to kill every support character with virtually no resistance! Major mistake. Sad to see such resources wasted on a lackluster story. It could have been great, but it fell short towards the end. Finishing a story is just as important as beginning one. Here, the game started great and ended poorly, in my opinion (sign). Thanks for playing, MK.
Great visuals and very good script. It's a "huis-clos" very oppressive.
59:08 looks oh so great.
Great looking experience. Can't call it a game since the interaction is so underdeveloped
Great writing. Believable performances!
Is that the voice actress who also did Lenore in the Castlevania Anime Series?
Sorry it's just a little too uneventful for me. Open door, watch video, dialogue, walk through hallway, open another door, dialogue, pick up chip, then after 40 minutes something exciting for 20 seconds then repeat.
1:05:09 I almost suffocated to death, found two corpses, the latter one with very recent stab wounds, just died, and I'm not leaving!
A short, but sweet game.
Really Really beautiful world they've built. The wind along with a dusty haze is great.
Great graphics, very boring game. There was no story….at all. What was the point of this game???
MDM mostly making bad or boring games.
No sound at the end.
The story was fine until the ending, letting the BadGuy™ live to kill one of the protagonists was entirely unnecessary and cheapened the plot with a cliché "twist". Would've been even better if they hadn't made the BadGuy™ struggle to communicate his findings, in the end it's just an annoying and frustrating (lack of) conclusion :/
Good thing they erroneously marketed it as a "horror game" which is the only reason why I decided to watch it instead of buying it. It's *way* too short to warrant the current price, and with that ending I'd feel particularly cheated 0__0
Right?? They had so many opportunities to finish the villain and passed on every single one. Frustrating, especially when they know he's killed five others.
Arthur Morgan on Mars.
Feels like the walking speed was implemented to a slow crawl to hide just how small the area is.
I will never play this game. It defies logict. Parts if the fight scenes makes no sense. Too many contrivances and coincidences.
Though its short I really loved the game and story.
I dont get what she's referring to in the part toward the end where she says 'i told you chivalry isnt dead' ....someone ploiiise explain

What happened to the audio at the end?
What interested me when I first heard about this game was that Roger Clarke was involved and we all know who he is by now but the game in general has an interesting concept but could've been better. Feels like a movie cuz it's short and looks limited. Maybe they'll make a DLC or something like that, we'll see

This game deserves its own genre "Turtle simulator" because its probably the slowest walking speed in any walking simulator ever, even tho i finished it but it was really weird experience especially when in cutscenes you see that the characters can actually move faster, so i think the devs made it on purpose otherwise you could finish it in like 1 hours and ask for a refund
