The coils are longer, not just stiffer so it’s not less sag that gets you the lift, it’s the longer coils. They have two spring rates, medium and stiff. Stiff is for the guys running an aftermarket steel bumper and winch. Medium is for anyone who just wants to lift the truck. Because the medium springs are a stiffer spring rate than stock you can also eliminate your sway bar so you get better articulation while still maintaining drivability on the road. I have the same lift on my 2017 pro 4X and went with medium Springs which is stiffer than stock and I removed my sway bar which makes a huge difference in smoothness on and off road. There is slightly more body roll in corners on the road, but very manageable.
Thanks! I‘ve never seen the coils disassembled, I ordered the coil overs preassembled. But it makes sense that the coils itself are longer. Once assembled, the coil overs are the same length. I did a length comparison in my lift kit install video.
I have the 2011 PRO-4X and the headlights SUCK. Especially the highbeams that seem to put light everywhere except where you need them on the road. Last year, I installed LEDs and while the lowbeams were a LOT better, the highbeam still put light everywhere else except on the road. A few months ago I learned about the Morimoto XB Hybrid LED headlights. They're NOT cheap, but it's a complete headlight upgrade. I did order a pair, but haven't installed them yet, because I'm waiting for a new front bumper and will install both at the same time
spacers as well as longer shock and coil over both affect travel on the front end. Your control arm will also hit the bucket on the downward travel, except if you get ball joint extenders
Still running same shock length, lift comes from higher spring rate. While it is enough to clear the 33s, I’ll probably add a spacer in with new control arms to get the the truck a bit more level. I may go with Radflos to get a bit more travel, but I’m still undecided.
Was the winch carrier a direct fit? Any adjustments needed? How much did it cost to have the CNC cutting/bending done? I'm considering WAM, but I also love the build stuff myself. thx!
The material plus cutting and bending was $400 at a local fab shop. The holes that held the crash bar didn’t quite line up (I assume because the plate was designed for the Xterra) , but the underframe mounts did fit. As I mentioned in the video, WAM! is a really good price ($450 plus painting I think), depending on how expensive shipping is.
Sorry for the late reply. I went with medium coils, but that was before I got my winch. So far I haven’t noticed any issues from the extra weight, but I‘m not running a steel plate bumper either.

Yes! The head lights do suck. But I agree the morimoto are nice :)

Great truck! What was the bed rack that you have?
It’s Hot Metal Fab, medium height. Based in Loomis, CA
I have the low profile version on my 2015 PRO4X King Cab. Solid as a rock!
Did you go with the Medium or Heavy duty Leaf packs??

How many miles do you have on your truck ?
I‘m at about 106k miles right now. I bought it at about 85k miles a little over a year ago.
What size tires do you have?
285/75r16, which is almost 33”
Get rid of that crappy fridge and get yourself a proper compressor fridge
Yep, planned! The cooler is terrible.
