Alot of people have interview anxiety, I've had an extreme case. I'd have a pit in my stomach 3 4 days before the interview, just thinking about my interview made me think i'd fail. In one interview i spoke and spoke without breathing at all. Thank you so much bill. I followed your advice, took inspiration from your answers and i passed all 2 interviews i got. I landed my first engineering job in my entire life, in the US, with 0 experience in the field (i only had internships in my home country) and as an international student. Your content is amazing, you speak amazingly and you dont have too many annoying self plugs. Your content is so comprehensive. YOU ARE AWESOME!

I appreciate that you answered honestly with, "it depends". It's nice to hear that from a senior leader, that leadership is not a one size fit's all skill. It's a toolbox, where you you have a default style and apply specific strategies as the situation demands. Thank you!

Great stuff as always, one answer that has worked for me is that my leadership style is a balance of support and accountability, if I've given my team the tools to be successful then I hold them accountable for results. If I have not given the correct direction or tools than I hold myself accountable.

Hello, I have been following your vedios and they are really helpful. I have been interviewing recently and the most common question asked in all those interviews was " How do you deal with conflict with your boss or at workplace", Please make a vedio on how to answer this question. Thank you so much.
    Best,
    Resel

Even though I am not even looking for a job at the moment, I keep on watching your videos, because I think this is amazing powerful stuff. Keep it on. The one about salary expectations helped me realize what I was doing wrong. I had the feeling I was failing a lot on that one, now I'm sure of it. And the best part is, now I know how to get it right! Thank you sir.

WOW! This answer is tremendous. I have my own approach to this by giving two answers to the question. I really like how you break it down with a range of styles. It wasn’t really long winded - was detailed. Love it! Have a call today at 430 and I anticipate this question will come up.

Your advice and all the insights you provide are truly useful, even more so that a few minutes is all that you need to convey key take-home messages. Now, I react not only to tell you you're doing a great job, but also that to me the answers you suggest here correspond more to a boss vision rather than that of a leader. It's just a matter of nuance probably, because for me a leader is someone who, first and foremost, has the ability to lead and inspire by example, which does not exclude what you said, but shows a particular frame of mind that a typical boss does not have. Please keep up the good work!

"Why are you looking for a job change ?" This question is tricky for me. I can't bad mouth my employer, nor can I say I am not getting the experience I need because that can mean I don't have the experience I claim to have.
Would appreciate your take on this. Thanks !

He has a video on this! I believe one of his options was say you felt there was not much room for growth. This can also say you’re looking to grow in their company which is good and you can flip it on them and ask about growth opportunities.
      definitely find the video though!

I'd add to this more of the idea of management vs leadership - i.e. appointed leadership vs emergent leadership. That is a clear way to delineate the go-to employees - the ones who are emergent leaders.

Personally I use this question as a probing question. I want to see if someone I am looking to hire as a leader was paying attention in intro to management, or at the very least have they read a book on management. They should be able to convey back to me in a meaningful way details about different management styles and how they employ them not just name the styles. Also, I think it is important to mention. I am evaluating how an interviewee conveys the information to me. Their communication skills are paramount to be placed in a leadership position. I can teach other skills that are lacking or they can learn them but being comfortable and effective communicating is something you have or you don't.

I have a very good question! I'm a corporate professional. However, this is not related to interviews/resumes, but more "once you're in the job". I've been in the industry long enough (you might say I'm looking for "confirmation bias") but nonetheless, could I please get where to email specific questions to you as I really trust your opinion? Thanks. Aaron

What interview advice would you give to questioning your lack of experience or previous jobs in a field to someone who has had trouble with getting their degree and find themselves in a position where their age they shouldn't be fresh graduates, but at the same time they haven't yet had a chance at an internship or an entry job position?
It's something interviewers easily catch on and point out, it'd be really helpful if you could make a video about this.

Also the question about any disabilities. You don’t need to answer it, but I feel that if you leave it blank, it might seem suspicious and make them not call you for an interview.
I wonder how it impacts your chances depending what/how you answer or if you choose not to answer.

What do you think about this answer:
"A good leadership style will be a type of leadership I can trust that will read well the situation and it will adapt the leadership style to the style that makes the job done: whether is autocratic or more democratic/consultative."
By the way: You are awesome!
