🐉 I feel you on the narrator of Fourth Wing. When I first tried to get to that book I had access to the audio book via my library. I listened for ten seconds and abandoned it immediately, I could not stand how angry the narrator constantly sounded. Very glad I persisted and got a hold of the physical book via my library later, as I very much enjoyed it. I'm yet to read Iron Flame, but I'm definitely planning on doing so soon!
Instead of ending it with the December spreads, you could have a spread about Final Thoughts on This Reading Year, or something like that. Maybe decorate a page to end it like you decorated one to start it. Just thoughts 😊🐉
I always love your reading journal videos 🥰 You got me addicted to Marigona Suli's stickers since the first of your videos i watched - the spreads are lovely! I also used this dragon stickersheet for my fourth wing review. I haven't read iron flame yet - and I confess to me wary of it from all the negative reviews I've read. Have a lovely weekend 🐉
I'm still stuck about halfway through Fourth Wing because Yarros made the dragons way more interesting than the humans and all I want now is the POV of Tairn's grumpy-ass, old grandpa dragon trying to deal with Andarna LOL 🐉🐲
🐲🐉Haven't gotten around to reading Fourth Wing just yet, but I appreciate the mention of the narrator of the audiobook sounding as though their yelling because I feel like that would be jarring for sure and I might end up just reading the books instead of listening to the audio. I loved the layout for your december cover page and book spreads, the colours and vibes are there and on point and it's always a joy to hear your thoughts and input about the books you read.
Loved this video and all the Marigona Suli stickers that you used in all the spreads! I absolutely love her artwork! I tried to read the first Rebecca Yarros book but just could not get into it. But the dramatic reading of it really peaks my interest. I may have to check that out. Thank you for that recommendation. Thank you also for such a fun video. I love your videos. They are full of inspiration and such creativity! Thank you for sharing with us! 🐉 ❤
I wasn’t really expecting you using these Autumn Dragons sticker sheet from Marigona Suli, but makes sense ! I ordered the same one to make my own spread of Fourth Wing, so it made me laugh a bit Anyway, as always, your spreads are so pretty! ❤
I totally get what you mean about there being a lot of back and forth between Violet and Xaden in Iron Flame. I have to admit though, even if it was a bit annoying, they're both flawed characters and have a lot of depth. I think the arguing and processing, especially on Violet's end, really added a lot of depth to their relationship. Adult relationships take hard work and I enjoyed the portrayal of a realistic relationship in this book. They also haven't been together that long so they're still learning how to communicate effectively with one another. I empathised with both characters when it came to their arguing, but you can also see that they love each other deeply. I enjoyed the character growth in Iron Flame and I think Violet is slowly but surely forgiving Xaden. I think Onyx Storm is going to be really good. Less than a week to go!! 😁👏
In love with this cover page, the colors and the big Marigona Suli sticker. i agree 100% with your take on Two Twisted Crowns, i was definitely disappointed and felt like so much missed opportunity to make this book great. i am also thinking of rereading Fourth Wing and Iron Flame in anticipation of Onyx Storm. the dragon stickers are so perfect and cute!
I love the little dragon stickers for the Fourth Wing spread, that was perfect!! I also agree that Iron Flame felt rushed and confusing and a bit repetetive. Hoping RY has had mote time to work on Onyx Storm!
Loved the cover!!! 😍 And despite that I don't read the types of books that you do 😝 I enjoy hearing you talk about them and watching how you create those beautiful spreads ❤🐉
These pages look amazing! I am currently reading Fourth Wing for the first time! I am excited to read the rest of this series to see what my thoughts are! 🐉
🐉 I got so excited when you mentioned fourth wing and iron flame!!! I agree with not liking the narrator of the audiobook. I loved the dramatized audio but I will say it’s not good for a first time reader since it skips a bunch from the books. I love it as a reread tho. I’m so impatiently waiting for Onyx storm. I’ve never had a book/series take over my life the way that the Empyrean series has. I am obsessed.
OMG Heda, I agree about the Rebbecca Yaros' audio. I tried the single narrator and didn't get out of the first chapter. Then I grabbed the Graphic Audio and I was sold!
ohh I totally get the "too intense youtuber" thing. I sometimes look for new journaling creators to watch along while I journal or make other crafts and it jumpscares me when the person starts shouting heLLLLLOOOOOO, for me it's just the complete opposite of what I expect from a journaling video. god bless calm journaling youtubers lol
Gorgeous spreads as usual Hedda, thanks for sharing 😊. With all the hype around Fourth Wing I decided not to read it,am still undecided actually. However my TBR is quite long and doesn’t include some anticipated releases so probably not this year. On the other hand I do like a good dragon tale…🐉🐲🐉
I keep forgetting you're Norwegian because I can read your reviews even though I only read and speak Danish and Swedish lol. Anyway your spreads were gorgeous.🐲
I loooove Elm ❤ I liked ODW more, but I still enjoyed TTC :B BUT the villain's ends was so anticlimactic to me. I wanted him to suffer like... big time! 😒😆 Now I'm reading Iron Flame and I only started to get invested after 30%... it has taken me a long time but it's a looong book 😬 the graphic audio makes it more entertaining tho (I also didn't like the regular audiobook 😐), love the cast voices, especially Tairn's... so iconic 😆 PS: One Dark Window was Rachel Gillig's debut. Her next book, The Knight and the Moth (The Stonewater Kingdom #1) is going to be release on may 20th 😉
🤩 Pagine bellissime come sempre. Lo sto ascoltando in questi giorni, poco più di due ore e mi sta piacendo. La lettrice è coinvolgente ed è piacevole ascoltare la storia!🐲
You gave me a real jump scare where I thought you'd no longer be doing a reading journal in 2025 haha 😂💕 Glad it was just a "clickbait" title. The title page turned out sooo pretty ! It's got to be one of my faves
I had to mute your video for the spoiler. I'm going to read this series soon. 🐉 Also, the pages are beautiful. I didn't read Fourth Wing or Iron Flame because I'm waiting for the third book. I hate that I have to wait for new releases, and until the new book comes out, I just might forget what happened in the previous ounces.
🐉I intended to listen to Fourth Wing on Audible but luckily I tried the sample first, and like yourself the narrator put me completely off. I'll see if I can find the version you listened to instead. The layouts you did for December were amazing. I'm currently reading The Hunger Games trilogy for the first time ever and honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about them :)
I agree with you on Iron Flame I didn't really care for it and I felt there were a lot of things left unexplained in Iron Flame. Iron Flame left me feeling like I didn't want to continue with the series however I did preorder Onyx Storm and they will be the determining factor if I continue with the rest of the series. And after Iron Flame I do not like the main characters at all and prefer the side characters better minus Violets brother who I think is a jerk.
I am absolutely FIGHTING through fourth wing. I don’t get why everyone is so obsessed. The actually craft of the writing is horrible and all of the big plot events were super predictable because of the heavy foreshadowing. Maybe it’s just me, maybe I just have a high standard of fantasy because of GRRM, but idk. I’m struggling through it! I want to know why the girlies are obsessed!

i’m so glad you’re continuing with your reading journal videos! they’re some of my favorites that you’ve made 🤍🐉

Ahahaha that’s such an amazing take😂 The dragons are really cool. There’s so much more lore in the second book though👀
Right!? I need more of the dragons pov! 😂
Lovely setup! Love the colors and choice of stickers 🐉

I love blue and green together! Lovely spreads as always!🐉
love the dutch door for the fourth wing spread! you can always see both book covers, very clever and pretty! beautiful set up overall too ☺

The cover page is super amazing, especially the witch die cut.

The Dutch door is a good idea for those series books 🐉
I just wanted to comment that I love your videos and they are such an inspiration.
I love all your videos! Please keep them coming! ❤

Such cute spreads~ 🐉
Such a nice cover page 🐲
OMG Heda, I agree about the Rebbecca Yaros' audio. I tried the single narrator and didn't get out of the first chapter. Then I grabbed the Graphic Audio and I was sold!
I actually really like Rebecca Soler (the narrator of FW/IF), but to each their own, this is the type of things we're allowed to disagree about
The fourth wing spread came out amazing 🐉
I’m super excited for Onyx Storm! I try to take some inspiration from your spreads for my reading journal, and mine never looks as good as yours! 🐉🐲
omg those dragon stickers are so so cute

I felt exactly the same about Two Twisted Crowns. So disappointing. 😢 But I also want to read more from Rachael Gillis. 😊🐉
What sad things when neighbors want to steal!
I had to look it up, Rebecca Soler was the woman reading Fourth Wing on audio.
I keep forgetting you're Norwegian because I can read your reviews even though I only read and speak Danish and Swedish lol. Anyway your spreads were gorgeous.🐲
