    I own a Kahr CW9 and have put around 700 rounds through it and have yet to have a single misfire, failure to feed, etc. This gun does everything and more then my Glock 19. This is the perfect conceal carry firearm.

    I bought mine a year ago and completely LOVE it . Very relyable, and excellent for conceal carry. So slim it fits in the small of my back with comfort and ease. Offers the concealabilty of a "mouse gun" with the nice stopping power of a 9mm.

    To address a few questions...now that I have had it for awhile I am really liking the gun more and more. I have been carrying it a lot lately when riding my Motorcycle. As for how it compares to my PM9, the CW9 is a great good but the PM9 is really a marvel. The PM9 is so small, accurate, and easy to shoot that it puts almost all other polymer guns to shame.

    I agree, amazing right out of the box. after about 200+ rds and it get fully broken in, the "grating" from the grip will be much less. Your hand gets used to it. But the first time I shot it my hand was just about raw.

    bought my CW-9 ten yrs ago and its one of my daily carries... uber reliable and slim and light.... and can handle +P ammo... it's a PM w/out all the extras you don't need... love mine!

    • @mChrest05
      @mChrest05 9 лет назад

      +Bob A You put +P ammo in that little gun? It is snappy enough with low recoil rounds for me. Thinking of getting a MK9 to help with recoil.

    i've got over 1500 rounds through my CW9. I've never had a single shooting malfunction and its still as accurate as ever. The trigger is butter smooth.
    I did have one quality issue: the little white bar on the rear sight "flaked" off during the course of fire. I contacted Kahr, sent it off, and had a new rear sight within a week.
    I couldn't be happier with this gun. I carry it concealed and think its the perfect combination of quality, accuracy, weight and price.

    the $800 models are for the higher spec steel frame models, probably with night sights included. i just bought this same pistol yesterday for $369. single stack guns are actually relatively cheap at the moment because everyone's spending their gun money on higher capacity (usually double stack) pistols.
    i owned the cw9 and shot better with it than any other pistol i've used. it was unbelievably reliable; no malfunctions ever.

I think they are super reliable too and accurate. some people say its a glock rip off..but hey, Europe used John Browning's design's for a century or more. I think its the best gun for the money. Made in USA!!!! Thats why its a good gun.

    Bought one to give my wife this Valentine's Day. Took it out to test fire it last week before she gets it tomorrow. Great gun! Easy to fire, low recoil, which was unexpected, and easy disassembly. The slide release is hard to manipulate but that should loosen up with use. I hope she doesn't like it so that I can keep it for myself. Will know tomorrow. BTW she doesn't like guns so I feel lucky that it will be mine.

    I have the Kahr CW.45, and I liove it! Well worth MORE than it cost. I've had one jam, and one FTF. in the first 200 rounds, and the falure to feed was my fault. Diden't get the clip in all the way. Never had a problim after that. Another plus is it is super simple to brake down and clean. There is a take down video on the kahr website. Also, I know what you mean about the grip, it is really rough, but they sell a non-slip "air grip" on the site also that will take care of that problim.

    Thanks for this vid. I had one of these as my first firearm. It was a very good pistol and a great carry weapon. I just couldn't shoot the thing worth a darn. I carry the baby glocks only when I'm concerned about concealment, I'm also a tall full build man so I guess to some the glock can seem heavy but not to me. In my state, NC, its common to see guys carrying full size slide guns on the hip open carry at your grocery store, walmart, etc. However, the looks of the kahr are appealing, I often find myself staring at Taurus semi autos also

    I've had 2 Kahrs, a cw-9 and a cw-45, both would jam pretty regularly.
    I really loved the trigger pull and the size, just wished I could get them to run consistently.
    They were both both used and I assumed this is why they were up for sale.

    @sungwei9 I think it holds it's own against both guns but it does not equal them. The PM9 is smaller and a little more polished and the K9 is all steel and quite a bit easier to shoot. For the money it is great though. Both of the other guns are pricier.

    I was at the gun store checking out some kel tecs the other day (ya I know how you feel about them), and saw one of these (CW9) used for the same price as a kel tec pf9. Decided to look up some youtube clips on my phone to see if there were any reviews on it and low and behold I found this vid. I really like the feel of the CW9 as opposed to other compacts I had checked out, so I bought it and really like it alot. Shoots awesome. My main conceal carry now for summer. as far as i can tell, the cw series and the higher priced series are almost the lightest single stacks on the market, edged out only by the keltec single stacks. but quality-wise, this is a huge step up and well worth the money.

    Actually they are Sig style or Von Stavenhagen style sights. The Heinie's are a little different as they focus on a deep rear notch and a narrow front sight with plenty of light on either side and normally use a two dot setup.

    Wow, that's kinda funny I came across this vid of yours.. I'm torn between a CW9 and a PPS as my next EDC, and this just made it harder. I'll probably just have to go try out each one myself.
    As some have said in some of the earlier comments, I'm a smaller guy, looking for a thin single stack that will be easier to conceal than a considerably thicker "brick", sub-compact XD, Glock, or S&W M&P. I'll just always carry 1 or 2 extra mags to make up for that capacity!

  • @mokyan7

    I have the P40, 6+1 rds. Much like PM40, but it has about 1/2 inch longer barrel and grip. The shape/size looks like your CW9. I notice the very steep feed ramp, so works best with tapered ammo tips, Hornady and Winch PDX1. I hear you on grip pain! Sharp stippling. I put 1/2 Kahr rubber decal grip on upper grip panels, then I slid on Hogue Handall Jr. for the bottom, it is great. Covers stippling. Slight bulge. More comfort, better feel, more secure grip. Should order another grip for backup.

    you should DEFINITELY pick up a "Hogue" rubber slip on grip. i got mine for 10 bucks at a local gunshow. it has One indentation for inbetween the middle and ring finger and that's basically it. a tiny bit of rubber stipling on the sides, and it covers the agressive checkered backstrap. look into it, i will say that i shoot better after installing the grip. cheers

  • @stopglobalswarming
    @stopglobalswarming 12 лет назад

    Interesting you felt the front and back stippling were rough. I like it, because the grips are so dang skinny, you have to pinch the front and back to control it well. I tried taping it up though, for grins, and it felt a lot better with the skinny grip and the "cheese graters". If you are holding it in a death grip, and it's stinging your hand, try relaxing a little and focusing on pinching it front-to-back, see if you get any better results. You might have to build up the grip under the tail.

    @sungwei9 I prefer the all steel pistols, buit the polymer Kahrs are great to shoot. The recoil is easily manages and the gun points very naturally. The all steel versions tend to be heavier and thicker (due to tthe grip panels) but they are still thin and easily carried. I own an MK40 and a K40 and really like both. In the end I carry my PM40 most because of the weight and thin profile.

    Best trigger ever, my CW40 smoothed out even more with 350 rounds through it. I find that I can shoot it better than my Glock26 just because of the silky smooth trigger.

    So I guess you liked 9mm back in the day. I carry my CW9 daily because Im deadly accurate with it. And it fits me like a glove.

    @TheYankeeMarshal thanks will have to see if my local shop has one. I was not that bad with the PPS, but the trigger felt stagey and really was not that smooth. Geez I kinda wish I found this gun before I got the PPS :P

    My next CCW. Gonna ditch the .380 for a 9mm asap. Well I still have a .38 but 5 rounds...idk maybe a back up but not a primary.
