Driving a 2012 Camry Hybrid for 4 years now, and I still marvel at the instant powerful acceleration, no hesitation whatsoever. It's kind of like the combination of driving a V8 car in 2nd gear (the torque feel) and the economy of a 1.0 liter car in 6th gear at the same time.
I bought a Corolla 2020 car and I'm driving it is really very economical. Excellent job Toyota. Goes 1000 kilometers with a tank of fuel. at least 700 kilometers. If you force it will go 1100 km.
Toyota will make all-electric vehicles at some point; it's just where the market is going. I do wish they'd accelerate their plans, though, as they could easily make compelling EVs. Less easy is securing the battery supply, but I'm confident Toyota can do it.
If it's evolving, why are they still putting the 20 year old technology-hybrid batteries in new 2018 hybrids? I guess you have to buy the XLE model to get the new generation batteries.
WRONG. The base LE comes with a lower capacity but lighter lithium ion battery. This has better milage than SE and XLE. Those carry the larger heavier nickle metal batteries which give lower milage (due to bigger wheels and heavier battery and more weight from moon roof etc)
@@CMDR_Birb Are the BACK wheels hooked into the system? I tow my 2009 conventional Camry on a dolly with the back two wheels down and would like to do the same with a hybrid LE.
Tabish Syed, I think you misunderstood. I do not want to tow WITH the car. I want to TOW the car. You can tow it with the front end off the ground on a dolly. The Rav 4 cannot BE towed at all. I will have to buy another dolly where the pan turns as you can't unlock the cars steering wheel without power on.
Why they would not make diesel hybrid system? Diesels twice more efficient then petrol engines. The effectiveness factor of petrol engine is 0.2, for diesels it is 0.4. That is also explains why trucks use diesels. Diesel is obvios choice to reduce emissions. I have had a mitsibishi lancer station wagon 2006 2.4l it was consuming 12l of petrol for 100km in the city, kerb weight 1340. Then I bought Pajero NT 3.2l diesel, it consumes 10.5l diesel in the city, kerb weight 2330 kg(with fitted accessories). Pajero has nearly twice more mass, has significantly worse geometry which generates higher aerodynamic drag and it uses less fuel.

Hybrid cars like these make way more sense than complete Electrics
I own ct200h and v8 M3, I enjoy and appreciate both, both marvellous engineering
We just bought the 2021 Toyota Camry SE hybrid and I can finally say we own a vehicle that even as a computer engineer I don't wanna touch 😆

auris 2015 hybrid - personal mpg record: 65.7 mpg. If you also add the extremely low maintenance costs and reliability, you just can't beat it.
V.C. Yes you can. LPG conversion.
I just got 72 mpg on my 2021 corolla hybrid 🙌🙌
Hello Sir. Can I Repost this Amazing Toyota Technology?
Perfomance & mileage100√👏👏👏👏

Toyota, if you are listening, could you make diesel hybrid cars also?
I have a 2009 hybrid and I love it. I will drive it until the wheels roll.
What type of gas you put on
Pedro Antonio I use always the middle or the higher.
Ohh ok thanks

Nice. Up to what speed in km/h can you drive before the gasoline engine kicks in, about 25-30 km/h?
Till 60 km/h

it depends how fast you accelerate

There’s no box gear???
was a good car with a hybrid engine
It still is, and gets better MPG than a gas engine.
TAKE THAT TESLA!
Last 20 years to think buy toyota....but...one day I will buy before die🤪🤪

While most of the modern manufacturers are working on fully BEV, toyota is sticking with hybrids. Common, you can do better!
Toyota is actually starting to make plug in hybrids which will make them pretty much fully electric for short trips.

1 mile at 25-30 mph, less at higher speeds
