- BC (Canada) is currently in a state of emergency, but I'm not panicking. Why? Because I have a full prepper pantry / extended pantry!
I've been getting a few requests to show my extended pantry, so here's pantry tour #1.
My hope is to do a pantry tour monthly so that you can see what's new and watch it grow!

I am with you from FraserValley. Praying for all of our flooded communities in the province of BC. I have also started stocking the pantry respectfully of all that are also in need. Life has given all of us a wake-up call here.
It sure has Pat! What a mess. My heart goes out to all of the animals who lost their lives and the people whose lives have been affected first hand.
I also bought 2+ years worth of light bulbs and air filters.

Yay!!! Another fellow BCer here!!! I too started a prepper pantry around when the pandemic hit. This year I stepped up my garden, and purchasing produce from local farmers to can. It was so nice not to have to make a run for the grocery store last week.
Right? What part of BC are you in? Hope you’re not in one of the extreme flood areas. My heart goes out to all of those people, and really goes out to all those animals that couldn’t escape 🥺
@@foodismylovelanguage2021 I’m in the Fraser Valley 15 minutes away from the Sumas Flats. Highway 1 just opened yesterday and we are no longer an island. The devastation is surreal. #bcstrong

I’m so shelf stable it’s almost ridiculous. I need a few freezers. Especially knowing that I’m losing my job dec 31. Let’s go Brandon. I can’t find one canning jar or lid in Texas where I live. Sucks. I hit up the long term food places since 2015, and the dollar stores for the last year. Also, I’m over-stocked with dog and cat foods. I did that first.

No jars or lids? Yikes! They’re definitely not abundant here so I grab them when I can. Maybe check out thrift stores for jars?

There are soooo many “excuses” governments give for food shortages. Bottom line is food will be either very hard to find or extremely expensive. Prep up y’all.
EXCELLENT!!.... I'm interested in your outdoor surface area you seem to have done an awful lot of canning is most of that from things you have grown? I have for cattle hoop greenhouses that I built and I have eight chickens now. I started years ago because of my son and his gluten-free intolerance couldn't find things when we needed them so started buying more then being a gardener and medicinal herb grower I continued until my tool shed turned into my pantry shed LOL! I'm in Virginia and we are expecting a lot of snow this year with the polar vortex stopping up on two cords of wood my son and I are splitting a lot of it ourselves and I have invested in a solar generator and a gas and propane generator. Are you concerned about your heat Source I noticed you had gas fireplace I plan on cooking on a gas grill I also have butane and I've made a rocket stove things are definitely getting wanke in the world in the United States where I am from the political situation is out of control best of luck to you I just stopped and look forward to hearing more from you stay safe

I don’t have a huge garden space but I do grow as much food as possible. Unfortunately it’s been raining for weeks so it’s a bit challenging to film outside right now however I do have some beets and kale that I need to pull so will try to film that when I pull those this week. Land is extremely expensive here (Victoria BC Canada) but my hope is to buy some land in the next few years to expand what I can grow.
