Please dont ever delete this video. Been coming back to this for years whenever i needed a moment of bravery and when people have let me down. Love love love this song will stay in my heart forever
You can see the energy pick up as soon as she steps out, smiles of encouragment. The raw emotion, support and love in the room brings me to tears every time 💖
Oh I love that! I always thought he was just having a blast, but I bet it felt so good to have his music being performed so powerfully by himself and the singers!
ABSOLUTELY... every time i watch this (usually every few months.. then 100x in one day :D ) he lights it up. a bummer this couldn't be captured for the soundtrack it is soooo much more invigorating and has so much more feeling than the official one.
It pops because the actor/singer in the movie they picke dof rthat part can't even shine his shoes. It's sad. I understand wanting a small person to play the role, but he can't sing at all. Or at least not at the level of the other singers. Another movie died at the hands of executives.
3:05 the woman standing up is SO into it, and I remember her from when I first watched this years ago. She's always stood out to me. Now I know that's Cynthia Erivo, and we'll all get to see her in Wicked as Elphaba next month! I'm so excited!
By the way, the women with the curly hair wearing the scarf is Loren Allred. She provides the singing voice for Jenny Lind on Never Enough. She is spectacular!!!!!!!
Never in a million years will we ever see people be so enthusiastic about singing and filming a movie like these people ever again. We can really tell how special this movie is just based on that.
No joke, I've watched this video dozens of times, and each time it feels just as powerful as the first time. It makes me feel so empowered, which is why I keep coming back. Tears and all.
I feel like she finally decided to OWN IT... When she decided to step out from the music stand. She admits she liked being in the background... but she OWNED IT HERE... you're right! It was hugely empowering... and She TOOK IT! I'm SO GLAD she DID! I also return to this video time and again to watch her do that. She is AMAZING!
After years and years AND YEARS of coming back, I still get goosebumps and love every second of this!! Absolutely amazing! So thankful we got this on video
Revisiting this after 7 years, I still get goosebumps. That room was full of big Broadway stars (Cynthia Erivo, Jeremy Jordan) and Keala just shines and impresses everyone with her energy and vocal prowess. And I have to say she is even more impressive live.
Could you just imagine, after all the hardships one goes through in life, and singing at the top of your lungs together in a room full of people “and I know that I deserve your love, there’s nothing I’m not worthy of”, just how liberating that must be? It gets me every time
AMAZING! This is so sweet, the cast was so encouraging. Her voice is amazing! I’m sooo glad she got the role. EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTED TO THIS FILM IS AMAZING!
For everyone who may feel YOU need to hide, to not share your light, to play small, to feel like you are lacking or broken in some way...THIS PERFORMANCE WAS CREATED FOR YOU. From the shakes of her voice at the beginning...to that gesture (and smile) of power at the end. THIS IS YOU. I hope you can sing your song with this much power, belief & joy.
This is arguably my favourite clip like this ever. Keala and Hugh at the end...you see the raw emotion. That power cannot be faked! Mind blowing and its amazing! Lets enjoy it again. Rewind.
I’m 36 years old. Sitting here crying on the couch. I had seen a similar video on TikTok. It too brought me to tears. Music. Wow. This is intense. This is beautiful. See everyone not just singing but BEING those words. FEELING those words. It was so passionate and I feel like this comment does give this video enough credit and respect. BRAVO!!! Love you all!
As long as there is song and theater and art, we will be ok. No matter how dark this world may be. Believe in the song. And the greatness of art. It can never be suppressed and it will always be free.
This is exactly how I feel, I love the theatre I go a few times a year, there’s just something about the energy of the live music that makes me so happy . I thank each and every person who pumps their energy into theatre 😊
This does something to my soul that I can’t explain, it’s just been playing in the car so I had to come home and watch this once again. Absolutely amazing 😊
Anytime I feel like I'm an emotional wreck and I just need to cry, I come to this video and it never fails me as it is so beautiful I can't stop crying
This is top 5 RUclips of all time for me. So powerful. You can’t watch this without being moved with beautiful intensity. This is why we are human. I feel seen in this video by people I will never meet, and they understand me more than most will.
The moment when Keala sings "And I know that I deservew your love" gets me everytime...and them BAM! The moment when she had to grab Hugh's hand...I need to resupply on tissues. :''') This song literally saved my life! It came at the right time to teach me to be myself and love myself. Thank you...thank you for this movie...thank you for this song.
This is the most human thing I've ever seen. If I had to describe our race this is how I'd do it... the energy, the connection beyond words ... amazing amazing
True!! He's amazing, honestly. I've sang with pianists before. And if they're not very professional, they often don't seem to get the fact that the singer is actually the quote unquote "director"; this man gets it, and that is quite clear. Now, don't get me wrong: I know that he must be professional, but I just loved seeing how he basically followed Kaela and went along with her and continued to do so even as the other accompanists joined in; that is the mark of an excellent accompanist. And of course, like someone else mentioned in this thread, he is really into it as well.
He’s Justin Paul. One of the two composers/songwriters of this song. The success or failure of that session would’ve had significant consequences for him.
So much love to everyone here ❤ Absolute wave of goosebumps and shivers starting at 2:18 keala got so much confidence thanks to that dude standing up and singing with her! Her singing after that is so full of pasion ❤
I love this version. I think I like it more than the movie version or the cast recording version. There’s something about the emotional connection that they all have in this moment. I’m so glad that we have this record of that moment.
The interaction between Keala and the guy in red is just so awesome it keeps me coming back. The energy is so incredible and really shows what it’s like to be part of a theater or chorus that energy you get when everyone is nailing their parts and it all comes together so beautiful and invigorating 2:18
It is truly amazing what music can do to your spirit. Thank you to these amazingly talented people who bring emotion to the surface by their God Gifted talents.
Just here doing my monthly viewing/cry session. Anyone else? lol
I come back and watch every few months, so I think this is about number 20 or so for me 😬
Me ❤
Here for my timely emotional cry
So true! I always come back here!
The pipeline of watching Deadpool and Wolverine to reigniting you Greatest Showman obsession is very real
This is even more emotional than the actual movie
Awesome
True dat
yeah true
Agreed
True i'm falling in tears
4:08 when Hugh just had his breath taken hard not to get emotional at that part
For REAL like that moment embodies everyone watching this. Love it.
It was in that moment he knew the movie would get the green light.
"huh" (point's up) 'take it there'
As per previous comment, you can see Hughs greenlight moment
2024, who’s still coming back to watch this and ugly cry? 😭 This gets me every time 😭 So many emotions 🫶🏽
Me😂
✋🏾😭
😓😁😉

every time!!😭😭😭
Every time
They way Hugh say “Uhg” after they held hands!!! He was going to burst into tears and had to get up and dance.
It was when he saw the truth that the spoke about herself while singing these lyrics
It was so perfectly timed
He didn't say ugh he said huh.
Hugh is crying.......😭😭😭
ㅠㅠ 저도 휴지에다 울고있어요 ...ㅠㅠ
🥺💜ik😭
She broke the Wolverine. That takes skill.
Heck I’m still crying
I'm not crying you are! 😢
Keala, you sing for so many of us who have not yet found our own voices. You are glorious.
Trouff.
The piano player wrote this song. I always like rewatching and seeing his reaction ❤️
I did not know that! I did notice his enthusiasm for the music, but that brings it to a whole new level, I need to watch this again!
@@rosebrunais1314 When I found out, it made this video even better, too!

@@mamasunshine83 I agree! Seeing and hearing your art come to life? Extraordinary!
Hey thanks for that - what a buzz watching it from his perspective ❤ ❤ ❤
Respect to homie at 2:19. He got an extra 300% out of everyone, then Kaela shot it up even further.
I know! Who is he?
@@jbasma Randomly bumped into my comment and just seen your reply. It’s a guy called Ben Thompson, one of the other commenters found him.

@@lindseymakes5364 Definitely. He's bloody great.
Idk why i torture my self always coming back this video when I know I'll start bawling for no reason!! 😭
Not no reason, that's why. 😘😜
There is a reason
3:05 the woman standing up is SO into it, and I remember her from when I first watched this years ago. She's always stood out to me.
Now I know that's Cynthia Erivo, and we'll all get to see her in Wicked as Elphaba next month! I'm so excited!
Omg I came back to this video because I thought she looked soooo familiar!!
I thought that might be her. Wonder what she was doing there.
Nothing beats the energy and emotion of this version of the song
This what real music is like. You have the courage to come out and show what you can do and go all out. Love this song so much.
By the way, the women with the curly hair wearing the scarf is Loren Allred. She provides the singing voice for Jenny Lind on Never Enough. She is spectacular!!!!!!!
It's not her
Looks an awful lot like her face. If it isn’t, who is it?
Wow! Yes she is amazing!

Amen.
Stories such as?
@@baldfire7055a few days before this he had to get cancer cells removed from his nose and his doctor told him not to sing. He sang anyways.
real! certified wonderful human being :)
Love love love the energy in that room. It all means something to everyone in there and that’s why they’re putting their entire hearts into each word
because they're artists..and most of them can 120% identify with the lyrics...basically, it is their story as well.
This girl can sing like she is a star the best girl I have heard sing she should be proud of herself an angel is what she is 😇

I always come back to watch this! Keala took us all to church
Does it piss anyone else off that it ends way to soon. I want to see their reaction of being apart of such a powerful moment.
The way she becomes more confident, then suddenly... Just... Comes alive. It's absolutely beautiful ❤️

"Trust Me. They dont know it yet, but they're going to Love You.."
When Hugh does his little emotional gasp. That's when I REALLY start sobbing. 😂
100%!!!
Right there with you ❤
Music is about honesty and believing what the song is about. And goddamn she so believes. There is not lying in her voice. She’s awesome
The HAIR FLIP WAS FLAWLESS 4:40
you maybe mean 2:33 but yeah! FLAWLESS is the word, cause not only got style, also LOTS of emotion
You can see how much action
goes on in that room.
I wish they would play the room after the song ended!

Love how Hugh just took her hand and held onto it and was so supportive. This is what music is all about. ❤❤
