Ever since covid-19, hours have dropped too NOT to mention that everybody wants a tip nowadays, the cashier that takes your order "may I get a tip" I don't mind people asking for tips, but dont ask every single person that comes in, you're being paid to do your job, we dont owe yall anything.
It's not that people's work ethic have dropped. Having worked through the pandemic in a restaurant, I can tell you that it's not on the fault of the employees, but the owners of these businesses. We damn near killed ourselves churning out record profits for these greedy owners only to be rewarded with pizza parties and $25 WalMart gift cards instead of well deserved bonuses. It was made very clear to a lot of people during that time that we've been getting exploited, and the working class understandably got fed up which led to "the Great Resignation". If these owners treat their employees like shit, then sorry to say, you're gonna get shit products. Quality starts at the top.

Im from Detroit and I've never seen this place in my life or heard of it. Tbh im really picky and i don't even eat out because most foods are trash and processed, the neighborhoods are poor, we keep moving out the city, minimum wage can't even provide a single person with a place to live, gentrification only cares about 10% of the city. Fast food and liquor stores overwhelm us and unless youre a healthy/conscious eater and/or have some money to spend, THERE IS NO GOOD FOOD LOL. Detroit has sophisticated, diverse, UPSCALE restaurants and its always diverse. People cook at home. You have to be diverse to find good food in Detroit. If you're not diverse, you're not going to find anything. In the summer, its 20 food trucks downtown everyday and they switch up. Detroit is different, its a different lifestyle. You're not going to find good food this way IN THE HOOD. Don't add insult to injury bro. They already oppress the people. Were just dollar signs these days. Alot of people don't care what they feed us, they just know their the only food around that area for the locals

as a michigan native, I can tell you the best joints in the state at least in south east michigan are all outside of the city. you have to go to a hole in the wall redzone area in detroit to get good food. other than that I wouldn't recommend any spots in detroit really.

Canadian here. When me and my friends drove to Orlando for WrestleMania in 2017 we had a very simple rule: if the staff didn't look like walking diabetes, we weren't eating there. There was one place we wanted to try in Georgia, the name escapes me, but it was a bunch of skinny white women running it. Now. Not saying they couldn't cook it up well but we had rules. We passed immediately. We ended up at a place with 3 large ass black women cooking up a storm who are exactly as you described in this video. They were fucking awesome across the board and it was the best meal of the entire trip. Sometimes it's best to listen to your gut.

Many restaurants try to limit seasoning because especally with salt it accumulates making the oil uber salty so to avoid frequently changing oil they salt after cooking.
“Taste of Vietnam” in Auburn Hills, MI seems to be struggling to keep their doors open. The food is amazing and the owner is super cool. If you have time, please pay them a visit. I suggest the HUE GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH / BANH MI GA NUONG HUE with the LAO KHAO PUN CHICKEN RED CURRY NOODLE SOUP. Won’t regret it. Deep the sammy in the soup. 👌🏼

Many restaurants try to limit seasoning because especally with salt it accumulates making the oil uber salty so to avoid frequently changing oil they salt after cooking.

“Taste of Vietnam” in Auburn Hills, MI seems to be struggling to keep their doors open. The food is amazing and the owner is super cool. If you have time, please pay them a visit. I suggest the HUE GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH / BANH MI GA NUONG HUE with the LAO KHAO PUN CHICKEN RED CURRY NOODLE SOUP. Won’t regret it. Deep the sammy in the soup. 👌🏼
