This scene fits Crane more than Joker(may he rest in peace ).... Sense the people exiled have that cold harsh fear running thru them while they walk on that ice and/or be executed by death.
Re: Morales Actually there's no way you'd see Joker at this court. Scarecrow had previously been associated with the League, that's why they enlisted him (funny how they say Bane has no power in the court, but like Crane will give any mercy to the League's enemies!). Joker respects no authority and he would never respect Bane or the League; he's barely capable of being in a room with other people much less cooperating with them for some kind of "plan."
To be honest if it was possible to have the Joker in this movie (R.I.P Heath Ledger) he probably would've tried to fuck with Bane's plan. Thus creating even more chaos...and let's face it he's a man who loves that. :)
Yea Crane is more of a little follower than Joker. Joker would be jealous of Bane as the big new bad guy in town and try to sabotage his plans just for the heck of it. Whereas Crane just likes to feel powerful. He’s just enjoying playing judge and Bane just lets him do his thing and have his fun and Crane isn’t interfering with him. And of course in the end Crane would have just died with everyone else.
Considering that Bane is exactly the better class of criminal that Joker wanted, I don't think the Joker would be in the picture because Bane was doing his work for him. So many of the League's values are shared by the Joker, just with a different twist. If anything, the Joker might take advantage of the chaos to fuck with Batman again, but not Bane.
Fun Fact: Bane knitting is actually a connection to the book "A Tale of Two Cities" where Madame Defarge knits the names of the Aristocrats in her cloth in a code so she remembers who to kill when the French Revolution breaks out. Similarly, Bane is knitting while he's taking over Gotham. Both characters wanted change for the good of themselves or the people and both wanted violent means to get it. Apparently the book had a huge impact on the trilogy as a whole as many other connections can be seen as well
@@turbinatearc7478 Oh, okay, sorry. I thought you were one of the rightwing/alt-right types who are always trolling on there, and hate it because facts are always liberal (at least relative to them).
Damn Cillian Murphy just kills it in every scene he plays. Despite this being a tiny part of the film the image of him sitting as a judge is one of the memorable scenes of the movie for me.
the best part of this is the demonstration of scare crow's ridiculous-ness, that the convicted has no need to be there as both death and exile means dying. and all the henchmen including bane are playing alone with it.
This movie needed waaaay more Scarecrow. He's one of my all time favorite Batman villians and he didn't get nearly enough screen time in the Dark Knight and the Dark Knight Rises.
Cillian Murphy’s Scarecrow is such an awesome, underrated character. It works for me that he was never the main villain; it always looks like he’s just having the time of his life getting roped into other villains’ schemes, hanging out and screwing around while the plot happens around him. It’s hilarious and very comic book-y
The criminal that pushed him into exile with good advice actually seems like hated to see him fall in. It's an interesting touch for an unimportant extra
"You are...PHILLIP Striver...executive president of Daggit Industries?" "TANNER....Karl Tanner, and I was a FOOKIN LEGEND in Gin Alley!" LOL Burn Gorman was awesome in Game of Thrones
Ray Muniz Legend has it he survived the ice, swam, and eventually surfaced at Eastwatch-by-the-sea, before walking to Castle Black. A true FOOKIN LEGEND!
Scarecrow/Crane was my favorite villain by far in the trilogy. Bane was just a forceful terrorist brute with physical strength, Joker was a clownish psychotic nutjob who tried to split the society apart and Ra's Al Ghul, his imposter and Henry Ducard were wannabe ninja losers. The fear element was so good in Nolan's batman movies. It's why Batman Begins is the best because Bruce origins are tested there and it was a lot more psychological and interesting than the sequels. Gotham felt like it was under siege there. Wish Cillian Murphy got more screentime because he was born for this legendary antagonist role. He even has cuts and snippets on his suit/jacket to remind us who he is at core he's so awesome. 2 minutes of presence but still manages to steal the whole movie. He's so narcissistic, cocky and arrogant here as a judge for the criminals I love it. His performances are always so amazing and mesmerizing whether small or big. Best and most talented actor ever.
I freaked the fuck out when I was in the theaters and saw Cillian pop up on the screen as Scarecrow, I literally yelled out "Oh my god it's my Cilly!!!!", then I was swooning the whole time during both scenes and even after they were over, I was still swooning and smiling like a idiot.
And of course in the end Crane would have just died with everyone else.
ravenouscolonelhart tldr
Considering that Bane is exactly the better class of criminal that Joker wanted, I don't think the Joker would be in the picture because Bane was doing his work for him. So many of the League's values are shared by the Joker, just with a different twist. If anything, the Joker might take advantage of the chaos to fuck with Batman again, but not Bane.
Look what he did to two facr
Cillian really masters the accent and speaking style for each of his characters...Dr. Crane is one of my favourites!
Apparently the book had a huge impact on the trilogy as a whole as many other connections can be seen as well
"Death by exile" - my reaction to Google+
My reaction to Quora - "Death by Exile" as well.
Well...
Even though nobody really used it.
@@turbinatearc7478 Lol, another one angry that facts disagree with them. Darn reality conspiring to ruin your life.
Seeing Cillian and Tom in a movie scene again makes me happy : ) everything they are in together turns out to be great
Agreed!
Fun Fact: Scarecrow has been in every movie of The Dark Knight Trilogy.
Now I am become death, death by Exile!
The guy who tossed him onto the ice not only gave him valuable advice, but he also seemed genuinly sad when the man did break through.
The criminal that pushed him into exile with good advice actually seems like hated to see him fall in. It's an interesting touch for an unimportant extra
Exactly. A lot of the smaller characters in the trilogy have those added details and importance.
At the end of the day he's still human. The criminal probably has zero connection with the guy so no reason to want him dead
He lost a bet.
Might just be annoyed that no one can escape because it means he himself can't escape
"Your guilt has been determined this is merely a sentencing hearing" - Every magistrates court in the UK.
You probably have noticed the damaged shoulders of his jacket. To make him look like a scarecrow. Nice detail.
But he is a fooooking legend and he drinks wine from the skull of Jeor foooking Mormont!!
+Badjoke Maker The Legend of Gin Alley
How dare those fooking cunts sentence the fooking legend eh?
Badjoke Maker he’d like for no fooking fighting in this fooking town
game o thrones
None of those fookin cocksuckers! He'd take on any (Dark) Knight! Fookin cowards in plate mail!
There goes a FOOKING LEGEND
3 Oscar winners (Murphy, Oldman, Cotillard) and 1 nominee (Hardy) in the same courtroom.
Cillian Murphy killed it in this scene 😂
I had no idea until now that the "judge" was Scarecrow.
Cmon how could you miss that
My friend said the same thing. I think it Would've been better if he had his mask on.
I don't see how y'all can miss that.....
Or at least had his mask laying on his desk
@@droctaconnapuss his outfit is kinda scarecrow style
I gave a little cheer when Cillian popped up in the cinema
Notice how Stryver's actor is the same guy who played the leader of the Night's Watch rebels in Game of Thrones
"Don't bring that crybaby back in here"
"You are...PHILLIP Striver...executive president of Daggit Industries?"
"TANNER....Karl Tanner, and I was a FOOKIN LEGEND in Gin Alley!"
LOL Burn Gorman was awesome in Game of Thrones
Ray Muniz Legend has it he survived the ice, swam, and eventually surfaced at Eastwatch-by-the-sea, before walking to Castle Black. A true FOOKIN LEGEND!
Phillip Stryver... from Gotham city... drinking wine from the skull of John fucking Daggett.
MrBeaux LOL, I guess in this universe, Jon Snow did bring Tanner back for trial.
Cris P. Bacon more like krennic's bitch.
LoL! Yup, exiled from Gotham and ended up taking the black at the Night's Watch!
"Sold! To the man in the cold sweat!" God, I love Crane :D
“Bane has no authority here...”. Cut to Bane standing in the back just enjoying the show, clearly able to stop it if he actually wanted to.
Humor, you bane cocksuking losers
HUMOR
Oppenheimer judges truman
Lmfaoo
That’s what Truman gets for calling him a crybaby…
And Blackett. Pretty sure he’s played by the same guy who played Striver
“Death!... By Exile.”
The way Cillian Murphy said gave me chills!
Seeing crane sitting on top of all those desks and being the judge is really funny to me
“Bane has no authority here”?
Later: “bring her to me”
Scarecrow/Crane was my favorite villain by far in the trilogy.
Bane: What does he want.
Crane: Nothing Bane go back to your knitting.
"Sold! To the man in a cold sweat.." underrated line
I can't help it, I love this man!
Do you still love him
@@agbaya5314 I was going to say the same thing lmao
so do you still love him? you better do
Man, were people 8 years ago really this cringe?
This is the most Cillian Murphy moment ever with his little glasses or his madness those threads & feathers & the way he say death by exile... goosebumps every single time no matter what
🤗
Why is Cillian Murphy’s voice so satisfying to listen to here
Scenes like these are always welcome
I like how Bane is just doing something with that wire and is like "Dont mind me, keep talking"
I watched the whole of this bloody movie just so I can see Cillian Murphy... two minutes,,, can they spare it?
MsRainbow Brite This movie is about Bane, not scarecrow.
Professor Xavier I don't know whether it was a faulty dvd or maybe the sound on my player but I got frustrated with how I couldn't hear when Bane spoke and since you cant see his lips move I was done quickly
MsRainbow Brite I can hear him perfectly good even though he mumbles sometimes.
Seriously, it is so sad that they never used the potential Scarecrow has as a character, he could have his own movie being the main villain, especially with Cillian Murphy in the role, he was truly amazing. :)
He was the secondary villain of Batman Begins. The last two films wanted to focus on Joker and Bane/The League of Shadows, there isn't much time for Scarecrow but how he's utilized is well done.
