We just went camping last Friday. It was a spur of the moment trip. We slept in the back of the truck, and roasted hot dogs. The girls loved it!🥰 It’s fun to get away.❤️
I wouldn’t be able to resist the loaf of cheese bread either. My mouth was watering when you pulled it out of the oven! I hope your vacation was wonderful. ❤
You are an amazing cook! You’re a jewel to your family, I admire that about you. I also think a good life revolves around treating your family as best as you can. You certainly communicate that valve
So glad to have found your channel. I saw you on your sister Lisa’s video and I’ve prescribed to all three of you. I love watching someone cook who obviously has love in their hands. My Grandmother always said this while she was in the kitchen or garden. Anyway, I just love the sister vibe. Your channel so so great!! Thank you for sharing!!✌️🙂
I love all ur pots and pans, I’m commenting while watching. I want to try that boil bagel recipe. If you and ur sister ever make a cookbook, I’m first on ur buy list. I guess I’m old fashioned and love a good book to hold even though I could print them..🥰
Making memories is what life is about. I bet your family enjoyed the get away. How great that the weather was so nice to be able to picnic outdoors. My memories from growing up are about stopping at parks along the way on our trips to MN and eating outdoors. Much more of a memory than eating in a restaurant. Happy for your family to be together. Thank you for sharing all your baking and travel tips. The ham looked delicious!! God bless!!
Hello Laura, I'm a big fan of your sister Lisa and glad I found you thru her. I love watching your videos. I love homemaking vids. I can totally relate with the husband being a homebody and me who loves to travel. I always make sure that I book a nice accommodation so my husband will feel that it's worth leaving home. ❤❤❤
Do you have a kitchen tour/house tour? I love seeing the little bits of your kitchen here and there but it would be so cool to see the whole experience.
I am the same way with food and eating out on vacation. I take yogurts, cereal, protein bars, a ything that is good for a breakfast meal. We also tend to order a lot of pizza on vacation. It goes a long way
Thank you for sharing this video with us! I enjoy watching you making the bagels and breads and I understand about slicing meats! My husband just does that job so perfect! Me, on the other hand, no no! Enjoy your vacation with your family!! 🦋🌞🍞🥯
Great video! 😊 I loved packing meals for my family on trips, car snacks, planning park stops, etc. One of my adult daughters has decided we need to go camping again as a family, but I’m hoping she doesn’t expect me to make all the meals again. I think it would be fun if we divide up meals so it’s less overwhelming. I love preparing the secret snack bag because I can stuff it with sweet, salty and surprise to thrill everyone on a long drive. 😊
Your food always looks so delicious and the cheese loaf looked really good! Hope you and your family enjoyed your weekend getaway! My hubby is a home body too and I seem to be more that way too the older I get but not as much as he is! 😀 God bless!
Another Laura here! We're going on a roadtrip next week too, and I've been thinking ahead to what I could prepare ahead of time to take along to reduce our eating out expenses. So thanks for the inspiration!
My grandparents used to take an electric skillet with them when they stayed in hotels. I thought that was extreme, but maybe others might do it for the savings, especially if traveling with lots of kiddos.
Everything looks so delicious! Especially that cheese bread Mmmm😋 I wish i could learn to pack minimally.. I'm definitely an over packer lol I like to have options and then i never know what the weather will be like. I try to stay where there's a washer & dryer or laundry area so i can wash everything up and not have a ton of laundry when i get home. Of course that's not always going to be the case and I'll have some laundry after the trip. Sounds like you guys had A great trip!
Hi Laura, I wonder if your hubby could put your grain mill etc.on a table with wheels so that you could roll everything out to your counter or do it right there? I’m thinking it may get harder for you as your baby grows as we know how uncomfortable things get later in pregnancy. ☺️
I can pack light with everything except what i call my busy bag. Lol. I have pens and paper for anyone that needs to jot something or a little one that needs entertaining, 2 books for me to read on long car rides because i might not like one. Knitting project. A few small toys for my little one . A crossword book for my teens if they want. A hair brush and bands . Earphones. My reading glasses , Snacks and my water bottle . We tend to do long car rides regularly so it stays packed with most things and i can grab and go to Emergency dept or spontaneous road tripping within minutes. Its been extremely well used the last few years. Your yoghurt bagels sound delicious, i haven't heard of that. No boiling, just bake sounds great too. Thanks for sharing lovely ❤
Hey Sister! Can you consider making a video teaching us how to pack light? I’m one of those that pack it ALL in fear of not having something we need. Ya girl needs some help! 😅 Ps. I love your videos! I too like to bake and pack our lunches. We usually stay at hotels that serve complimentary breakfast and then we choose a yummy place for dinner. 🫶🏽
Wow, that ham was juicy! I noticed you didn't boil the first batch of bagels, is there a particular reason? I thought bagels, in general, were always boiled first.
What a blessing your are to your family❤️

LOL.."I don't even see the grain."
I also have trouble with seeing the grain.
I wouldn’t be able to resist the loaf of cheese bread either. My mouth was watering when you pulled it out of the oven!

So hilarious y’all ate all the cheese bread before you left the house!!!!! Your bread looks beautiful! I too can not slice hams very well.
Super impressed with a lot of things you do but totally amazed that you could pack all your boys, your husband and yourself in ONE bag! Wow 😮
You are an amazing cook! You’re a jewel to your family, I admire that about you. I also think a good life revolves around treating your family as best as you can. You certainly communicate that valve
Thanks so much for the kind words! 🥰🥰🥰
My Laura, what an organised young lady you are. Enjoy your holiday ❤

Instant pots are great for travel and an electric skillet.
Maybe the hotel you are staying in will serve a breakfast down in the lobby. That would be nice if they do!
The cheese bread 🍞 looked very delicious
I bet your kiddos were all so excited about going! I enjoyed watching you and your sisters this week as well. Have a great weekend!
Sounds like your family had a wonderful time!
Eating outside makes the food taste better!!! You are certainly well organized!!! Hope you all had a great time!!

I always bloom my yeast first with a little sugar.
I buy bulk sausage and cook it. Then I freeze it for my husband and son to eat for breakfast.
T u for sharing and the noise of children. Love love.
I want and bought 2 paintbrushes for my baisters. I have the smaller one for little jobs and for big jobs is the big brush. LOL
Outstanding as always Thank you !! ♥️
Hope your trip was beautiful!!
Much love,
Patricia (Daniel)
Do you have a kitchen tour/house tour? I love seeing the little bits of your kitchen here and there but it would be so cool to see the whole experience.
Yes, just search "whole house tour" on my channel.
I don't know where you're going, but my niece took her children to Great Wolf Lodge, and said it was amazing. I hope you all have a wonderful time!

Have fun!!
Hard boiled eggs are a good morning snack!
So true! Great idea!
@@ouroilyhouse do you accept gifts from fans?
Thank you for your lovely home and family videos! God bless!
Hahaha! I use an unused paint brush (sometimes used) all the time 😂
Hi Laura! Where do you and Lisa buy your wheat berries, and what kind make the best bread? Thank you! ❤
“I don’t even see the grain!” 😂😂😂 same here!
Looks like a lot of fun for the kids!
I felt like your duffel bag was like mary poppins carpet bag. So much stuff was getting put in there and there was still room it seemed.
🤣🤣🤣
My grandparents used to take an electric skillet with them when they stayed in hotels. I thought that was extreme, but maybe others might do it for the savings, especially if traveling with lots of kiddos.
That's a great idea!
I do this because one of my kids is a picky eater so I take a hot plate and a mini rice cooker and I can cook meals for her on the go.
Amazing and beautiful! Well done.🎯🎉
Careful at the water park if it’s in Branson, just encountered bed bugs in our room there.

I am new and wonder if you have any time for yourself except for just making all the meals. 😊
Hi that cheese bread looks awesome where do you have this recipe thanks
It is linked in the description box.
Did you go to great wolf lodge?
Question: could you make homemade granola and put some milk in the mini fridge or a cooler for the first morning in the hotel?
That's a great idea!
Do you make pasta. I recently starting learning and I'm not good at it yet. Would love to see video If u do.
how did you warm the sausage up in the hotel room
They had a microwave.
I thought bagels had to be boiled first or they are more like biscuits is just baked.
Oh my I cannot ever get food amounts correct...I always make too much.
Very good video...new here
❤❤❤
You used to use a bread machine to make bread. What changed?
I do both!
Ahhh, such a sweet video! (I am also married to an introvert 😅)
It took a minute to figure that all out but we have a system now 🤣🤣🥰
Wow, that ham was juicy! I noticed you didn't boil the first batch of bagels, is there a particular reason? I thought bagels, in general, were always boiled first.
I shared all the recipes in the description box. 😁
Are you guys in a cult?
Thank you
