Played in Utrecht on 11 May 1996, Final of the Franz Liszt Concourt in theater Vredenburg. I was priviliged to be there and remember him as one of the greatest pianists. Followed Igor aftersince in his playwork !
The opening of this performance of Liszt's Totentanz reminds us why the piano is not only a melodic and harmonic instrument but also a percussion instrument. And it doesn't stop there. His sovereign approach to this difficult piece is very inspiring. Bravo, Igor Roma!
