He just utilises his abilities(flying and fast, which is good against grounded beast who can jump) horribly, by using, for example, a stubborn hand-cannon charged shot to reflect a rock, knowing that Betty can also use her energy projectile and then jump up to him, finishing him off. His optimal yet easy way to waste her time untill help arrives was to dodge projectiles by flying and using hand-cannon charged shots against her jumps. Betty would find another way around it, but at least she wouldn't be able to spam her abilities through his slow-recharging shots. That's the example of battle where two opponents have good chance to succeed in their goals(Mettaton - to waste Betty's time untill help arrives, Betty - to kill Mettaton quickly and continue gathering power by killing people) and both have good abilities. The only reason why Mettaton lost was 1) Mettaton is a showman, not a fighter, so he didn't even try out and train in his powerful and more complicated NEO form 2) Betty is a beast with, of course, experience and battle IQ, so she quickly finds out Mettaton actually doesn't understand how to utilize NEO form while being so vulnerable. @@uscharadreemurr6746 Box Mettston is hecking DISABLED. Box Mettaton can be ignored as some nasty annoying pest, but can't be considered as a real threat. Also, including that we had the opportunity to hit Box Mettaton only in Pacifist by weak human... Box Mettaton would be vulnerable to piercing saber attacks from Xtaton

Xtaton would easily dodge all attacks and make awfully strong hits which would break Box Mettaton. And guess what will happen if Box Mettaton tries to turn one of his hands into a blaster? RIGHT, XTATON CUTS IT OFF, because Mettaton NEO's defense is weak as hell, and turning hand into blaster just reveals defense's weak point and makes the use of Box Form unhelpful, making Mettaton both vulnerable, weak and slow

Even if this battle is complete boring trash in my opinion... I hope there will be X-Mettaton vs Mettaton NEO fight. Like the flaw of X-Tale crew - they can use only their strong basic forms, without stronger variants such as Megalovania, Undying or NEO.
I mean,Cross is just different from UT Sans in general so he doesnt need bad time eye mode But yeah,i dont think XUndyne has Undying form NEO form for Mettaton is debatable because its glass cannon i believe
