The fight scene was insanely well done.
Betty was throwing rocks at Mettaton to test him, to see how good of a fighter he was. Instead of dodging them, he wastes energy to destroy them, showing us how inexperienced a fighter he is.
Betty even tauntingly says "You don't fight very often, do you?"
God it's so well made

I guess she learned that from Gaster, he "tested" her during their battle as well.
I like the idea that Mettaton can fight, but he's inexperienced, so he falls for cheap tricks. It makes sense. I just hate that Betty took advantage of that.
Ikr! Speciallt after betty got him to the ground ny applying the same "shoot through smoke" move he himself did previously. Hence why she pointed out all cocky "You don't fight very often, do you?" Right after she got him with the same trick he tried to use on her
@@CamilaCuevas Almost like he only fought in video games, the enemies there always fall for the same tricks. But that's not gonna happen if everyone only have 1 life.
That would also explain that Mettaton Neo goes down with one hit.

Yeah! For example Alphys sacrificed herself, Jessica sacrificed herself, Frisk sacrificed himself (not going to joke around), Sans sacrificed himself, Asriel sacrificed himself, and now Mettaton is sacrificing himself.
Season 3 is more towards history lesson
Season 4 is more focused on Determino Wizards Council (most likely taking events after Season 2)
Despite the fact that I am not a good fan of Mettaton, he had a very good role in Glitchtale. And I'm happy for this.

Ya know,Camila not using plot armor makes the fights more intense,instead of “oh boi another fight scene” you get “WHAT ARE YOU DOING DONT YOU KNOW WHAT SHES DONE PLEASE SURVIVE RUN AAA-“. Really makes you fear for their lives.

4:00 Probably my favorite part of this animation.
Everything about this one frame is perfect. The dialogue, the pose, the expression. It perfectly incapsulates the emotions and thought process that Mettaton is having. He's not going down without a fight.

I love this because I feel like it, for once, doesn’t show Mettaton as an egotistical jerk. I see this like in the Genocide route. I don’t think that here nor In the original, he knew he would win. I think he knew that here, Betty was too strong for him, and in the original, he wanted to use that thing where he’d make himself more threatening... and to not be a coward. I mean, in smexy rectangle form, he wouldn’t take any damage. Yet he still chooses the form in which he knows he can still be a hero. In a way. And he fights for the same reason. ‘To make some time’. Even if in Undertale it’s not explicitly said, I think he tried to hold you down so that either Alphys could evacuate New Home too, or so that Asgore could get the souls-assuming he didn’t know Sans was going to fight you too, which he probably didn’t.
Mettaton never was a jerk bro.
Out of the 3 fight scenes, this one was my favorite.

I love how Camila puts a little detail on Mettaton that he really has a small experience on fighting , also if Mtt has more experience on fighting , his fight would be more longer and has more chance on doing more scratches on Betty but he still did enough for sacrificing himself to fight , Anyways Great Job Cami for animating this Amazing Fight uwu

The part where he used the spotlight blaster at max was epic and betty didn't even take a single damage point it's sad because mtt gave it their all and because he can fly he should have been able to stall more right?
It wouldn't change much tbh. Asriel would just step in and end him. If that's even needed,cause i think it was pretty clear Betty was kind of just messing around.

Poor Mettaton; hes always stalling for time. That takes more will than anything. Knowing that you're going to lose, but that if you make it take long enough, there is still hope.

Mettaton has to be one of my favorite characters in terms of his fighting style with his robotic arsenal of weapons.

Signs foreshadowing Mettaton’s lack of battle experience:
-0:09: Craptacular aim.
-Several moments of hesitation.
-Never following up on successful attacks.
-1:15: Caught off-guard by Betty throwing a rock in full view of him.
Heracross X He would have more if people started writing him in it instead of constant lame romcoms.
I mean he's a glamor performer, of course he doesn't have any experience. Honestly Sans doesn't have much experience as he's just some lazy monster, the weakest in fact. Only reason he does well is because his massive moveset. Asgore and Undyne probably have the best fighting experience.
Shooting through smoke was a good move tho, if Betty was off guard, that would've been a hit.
But about 3/4 minute later, Betty also shoots through the smoke and MTT gets caught off guard and hit which causes him to lose.

It has been shown that time and time again, people who suffer personal loss to an enemy will not lose hope, but instead they fight harder, sacrificing things unscarred people would never give up.
Imagine how much stronger the NEO suit could’ve been if Alphys hadn’t died. I’ll never get over Mettaton’s self sacrifice though.

Betty really reminds me of Carnage. The pink liquid things are like remains of a symbiote. They both can regenerate. They both morph weapons. They are both crazy but with a mind. If these 2 we're to fight, I'd say Carnage would win. Carnage is more crazy and brutal, and at least has a mind. Carnage will be the new villain that spreads the FEAR.

Betty was dying and would have lost but she used the hate vial. So on her own undyne was much stronger. Keyword WAS. now she has absorbed a lot more souls and so therefore is way stronger than she used to be. So wether she wins or not depends on what part of the timeline she fights carnage.

@@kuojoh carnage is a spider man villain. A serial killer and the egg of venom became together and Carnage has born. And they keep their serial killer instics so there is a comic where he just goes to a village and turns nearly everyone into little carnage ghouls etc. I am not sure his total power level tho.

0:17 He should have continued shooting at Betty after he outran her projectiles.
1:25 He should have not let his guard down after this point.

1:25 He also could have very easily dodged that rock instead of shooting it.
1:30 He could have reacted to that or at least try to protect himself against that hit since he literally just let her punch him in the chest. lol

0:55 He kinda saved his own life here using his detachable limbs to deter Betty away.
2:51 This move did little to almost nothing to Betty but it was still smart of Mettaton to think of it on the spot.
Overall Mettaton made a lot of mistakes in this fight, however, he did have his good moments.

The 2nd option, most likely. Its Betty without her Outer-shell/exterior. It’s a reference to Agate since her hair is longer and her eye flashes orange for a second.

@@Human_traain The clothes are kinda “attached” to her body. Not exactly attached completely, but they also make up her physical form from the Bête Noire Spell, so they’re “attached” to her. I don’t know how to specifically explain it.
