And here we are, the season finale. I can't wait to show what I have in store for Season 3, the Prequel is meant to be an original story that can be enjoyed by people that have NO idea about undertale at all, but also by poeple that have been following glitchtale since the begining. Can't wait to start on a new journey with everyone else and dinve into this very intense, aciton-packed season. Also... if you're wondering what happened at the end with HATE and why it looked... different... You'll learn... in due time.
Reminds me of that one scene in “the black beast” where Amber was targeted by agate and copper went to protect her, even if unsuccessfully. Makes me wonder if Amber pushed through the hate right at the end…
Sidenote, I recently rewatched an Undertale animation calls "The Seeds Just Stick to You," and Camila left a comment talking about how cool it would be to have a prequel to Undertale. And here we are now, around 4 years later, and Camila is literally working on an unofficial prequel herself. I just think that's neat!
And they were VERY destructive too. Not at all what the original primary traits were. Goes to show just how much more effective HATE can be used as an enhancer for strength.
@Edineia Araújo de Lima Canon Chara, yes. Glitchtale canon, however, holds both the erased Frisk and Chara as boys, the characters referring to them with masculine pronouns and Betty's "I'm not afraid of an angry boy anymore." line for examples.
can we all just appreciate how camilias art style went from 2010 newgrounds flash animation to undertale: the anime its been so incredible seeing the artstyle grow and evolve
You can see a similar artistic skill progression in “The Big Lez Show”, another animated RUclips series though of an entirely different genre from Glitchtale. While in terms of scale Glitchtale’s increase in quality is massively more noticable than Big Lez’s, that can partially be attributed to Big Lez’s shorter overall length from start to finish, and the creator making the stylistic choice to keep it somewhat simplistic in art style (a choice which most prominently manifests in the fact that the show is entirely animated in MS Paint, and proud of it).
I love how it went from this pure embodiment of hate - trying to destroy everything in its path, to having an actual character, being cold, precise and calculated - hate for Chara and Asriel
just fyi, camila confirmed on her tumblr awhile ago how ridiculously hard it is to do the whole “but it refused” thing. like you need an INSANE amount of determination to deny death itself. and asriel fucking did it.
Gotta love how the hate evolves during the battle, from a recently born powerful being that doesn't know how to control its powers to a polished muscular warrior.
It starts fighting more human-like and gains control over its power for sure but I think that''s not the optimal way to fight as a blob. Turning itself into a round ball is enough to dodge most attacks. The smaller the profile the harder to hit. Making another arm from the legs while fighting mid-air Sprouting wings Splitting itself into two and using each other to launch themselves apart to dodge or not allow Asriel and Chara to team up I don't think it's necessarily evolving. Just becoming more human.
@@puppetmaster1819 i mean that it was born recently out of a host, all that thing knew was to consume minds slowy taking control, but now it had control over a body of it's own on an entire different world.
Watching this back has revealed something interesting. A lot of people really praise the details in the fight near the end, with good reason but I wanna point something out from the beginning. Notice how at 2:00 it over shoots the alley a bit and has to come back. And again at 2:14 look at how hard it recoils from its own blast. At the beginning of the fight, this thing had absolutely no idea how powerful it truly was. Look at the way it was almost just testing out what kind of powers it had at the beginning of the fight
Betty restricting its power and not using it to its fullest definitely messed it up in that department. Wearing weights all your life and then suddenly taking them off makes a huge difference.
@@airwicko1199 Hate is a completely different creature from Betty. Betty used some of Hate's power, but was actively against letting it take control because SHE wanted to complete her plan of wiping out humans and monsters, the Hate was only a buff to her so she wouldn't die (which as we know, eventually failed because she didn't use its power to the fullest extent and got herself killed by Gaster)
It was fun to see hate use previously established attacks, like Chara’s special hell, and Gaster’s tendrils that he used to absolutely slam Betty. Bravo, Camila!
He forgot, betty actually is dead, and only her HATE remain still have Way more Trouble than Betty(Power Of HATE 2X Way stronger than soul of Determination, even soul of Fear from betty soul,Both is weak against HATE,except Teamwork of Determination and HOPE)
The one funny thing about this series is that most of the stories related to Undertale usually "protect" sans and Frisk because they are aware of timelines and such and basically people are more interested to them. But now....both of them are lost, and yet everyone loves this series.
Although it may have been slightly cheesy, at least in my opinion, Asriel's death'nt moment kinda gave me the chills in one of the best ways possible. Mad props on the animation, the wait was worth it for this one and all the others beforehand.
Something I realized after rewatching this fight is that the final form of hate seems to have more hate towards Asriel than Chara. You can tell by the way it tries to attack him after the fight. Also, in the scene where both Chara and Asriel are doing their jump attack, its eyes only reflect Asriel, and then it starts attacking immediately after. This, combined with the fact that the ost for the fight is called “Reincarnation” makes me believe that the hate is taking the form of someone from the past, who most likely knew and disliked the Dreemurrs. The hate also mainly uses determination powers in its final form, meaning it was likely one of the determination wizards from the past. Either that or I’m reading too much into this and just need to enjoy the amazing animation.
Chara and Ariel's wombo combo is neat;displaying a huge power against this entity with the power of teamwork, and friendship. This was a very well done animation.
As Asriel gets impaled you can see it in his eyes the distaste for being struck down like that again and now you can hear it being said those words we all know and love from so long ago "But it refused" playing over everything as Chara is pulled away from their deepest hate by Asriel's sheer force of will to live
Even though Frisk may not be there anymore, I can see them smiling at what Chara finished what he couldn't have finished without Chara knowing it :) Thank you, Mrs Cuevas.
I think what hit me the most was Hate just seeing the two brothers so staunchly protective of each other and just…seemingly realizing how futile its entire existence was, just because of those two. I’m probably wrong here, honestly, but its nice to interpret hate as what had manifested within years and centuries of enmity between two races and has since held the purpose of destroying both sides. Its consumed by its own essence, so, essentially, incapable of salvation, and the only way to release it is by showing the futility of its purpose. That Monsters and Humans are capable of coexisting, of loving each other. And that’s? Such a beautiful thing to witness? The way Hate stares at the two and looks so, incredibly tired and ultimately gives up. God damn. I am reminded so much of why I love this series.
Exactly. I'm guessing Hate adapted Bete Noire/Agate's view that monster and humans can't live in peace, but after seeing the 2 brothers fight together to stop it, it realized it was possible and gave up fighting since that was basically its sole purpose.
is thats the reason why the hate is sad? because i mean for purpose of hate seeing of 2 brothers can't believe why she killed human and monster, could be right about it thats clever but if im wrong then ye sorry im just bad as i dont remember but ye it could be the reason why the hate started on her. and then just believed. what happen.
you can tell where camila was really having fun animating this, especially with Hate, the fluid animations of gaster, sans and papyrus all being badasses against bete and then Hate itself almost being a fluid creature are all really showing. The amount of effort that went into animating this with such detail is seriously impressive. Fantastic work drawing all this up, especially so long after the undertale craze died off.
Only thing I wish we could've got out of hate was more usage of the soul abilities. Would have been fun to see the two of them have to fight around the soul traits cranked up to 11
Rewatching this fight after the origin and god, the heartaches are real. I've been a follower ever since Megalomaniac and watching your artstyle evolve over time has been special, as well as growing up watching this series. I applaud you!
I personally think that Hate could've kept going, but decided to lay down and accept death. Hate corrupted Betty's soul, which we know to be a corruption of the wizard of bravery's soul. From the animatic Camila gave us about the wizard of bravery, she used to have a family with the wizard of determination before she decided to corrupt her own soul and turn it into fear. Seeing how Chara, another soul of determination, was willing to risk their life for their loved one probably brought back some memories for Betty, despite the amount of hate corrupting her. I believe those memories are what were the key to the death of "Hate".
@@radical9619 She did die, but the idea that human consciousness persists past death is present not only in Glitchtale but also Undertale (i.e. Chara was "awakened" by Frisk's determination). So I'm thinking, even if Betty died, her consciousness still influences the actions of the "Hate" that's possessing her body.
@@KM-uo4mc Chara's DT persisted And consciousness within it And Betty's soul didn't completely gone, but Betty's consciousness did fall over Also, Betty is Amber's soul, not Agate's Agate jut died, because of her own spell she casted onto her soul SHE SACRIFICED HER DAUGHTER No way it could be Agate It must be related to S1 Chara
@@narrativeless404 Amber is actually Copper's and Agate's little sister. Betty is actually Agate's soul but with Amber's corpse as a vessel for it thanks to the bete noire spell, otherwise Betty wouldn't have the power of FEAR, since Agate inverted her own trait, not Amber's
@@narrativeless404 Well it is charas hate from what I've read and seen. It perhaps had some of charas memories and consciousness like a split version of chara, just knew it couldnt defeat them even if it tried knowing their bond, it was slowly dying and i guess killing either of them wouldn't change anything so it just gave up. that's my thoughts on it at least.
ive loved how hate seemed like it knew to accept defeat, its death was so, peaceful and quiet. Edit: WAIT ITS EYES CHANGED INTO LIKE CHARAS EYES AT ITS FINAL BREATH
Honestly seeing the glitchtale series continue and evolve in animation is something I didn't expect to happen coming back to it. Great development of the story and characters
I think that in the end the HATE was still the hate of the original bravery soul who was opposed to the unity of humans and monsters, but once they saw that Chara was willing to sacrifice theirself for Asriel, they realised that maybe monsters and humans can live in harmony, so they just gave up.
Actually if you watch “hates origins” SPOILERS AHEAD | V Hate came from the original determination soul whom after his best friend was attacked by humans for being a monster his friend wished to be killed so he didint have to live as a feared creature and when chara protected asriel it reminded the original determination soul how it protected its friend way back when as well…
I LOVE how the Hate grew more developed and evolved throughout the battle. It continually became harder to take down and not even two powerful people could stop it. It seemed that at the end of the fight in it’s final moments, it even gained some emotion, as it grew a mouth and had an expression of defeat. Cami, this was incredible and I seriously cannot praise you enough. Years worth of work coming to a grand finale!
@@chocolatelover9360yeah but him being erased doesn't mean that everything belonged to him gets erased too. You can see the dont forget thingy that he gave to sans still being there
Camila, this must’ve taken so long to animate. I’m honestly impressed by how far you’ve come in animating Glitchtale. Amazing job on animating the final battle against HATE!
To clarify, Asriel didn't technically die to Betty last time, his form was merely destroyed, but his soul remained and through the usage of magic Betty was capable of reforming his body and infesting it with hate, in this scenario Asriel's soul straight up shatters to pieces instead of being absorbed, knowing this fight would be over if he died and because the base of his soul is Chara's old Determination Soul with the other 6 traits, he was able to cheat death and become his God Form.
I agree with everything besides his soul being Chara's. How exactly did he have their soul? His soul in timeline 2 is supposdly given to them somehow from the 6 human souls in the underground, which he does indeed have determination since it still flickers colors. All in all, I was really like "Oh no" then "Oh yeah!"
@@chesrieldreemon824 Everything is answered through the name of the series, *Glitch*tale, also the reason being is because Frisk gave Chara their soul, Asriel still has Chara's Old Soul, but Frisk gave theirs to Chara because they were glitched, afterwards they proceeded to alter the memories in such a way to where no one recalled anything of Frisk, yet the story still somehow played out.
@@chesrieldreemon824 The rainbow soul is the closet thing that a monster can get to determination. Because in the glitchtale canon determination is all the other soul traits combined.
Hate didn't have to spin the sword at 7:46. Camila didn't have to go through the no doubt crazy hard and unnecessary process of animating hate spinning the sword, but she did anyways and it's amazing and I love it.
Despite the fact that this battle was almost as long as the Battle of Ascendance, as I call it, if feels _so_ much shorter, and I'm not really sure why that is. Maybe it's just because we all knew that this would be the final fight, whereas we had no idea if the skeletons would survive against Betty (basically whether Gaster would go all out or not) so that battle was much more tense. Dunno, all I know is that Cami had given us far too many treats.
my theory is that as the hate grew more focused and *determined,* it lost the ability to use the power of the other primary traits as it was focusing its determination into staying alive and killing asriel and chara.
Or it realized how powerful determination is and stuck to that. Notice how it landed the deadliest blows and survived the worst hits once it switched to that trait.
Seeing Asriel’s soul shatter gave me the highest amount of anger glitchtale has ever given me. Seeing the soul refuse gave me the highest amount of happiness glitchtale has ever given me. Thank you for this emotional rollercoaster Camila, may god bless your heart
I think it would be really cool to see some season 1 fights reanimated in the new, higher quality, animation style. The Sans Vs Gaster fight and the Sans, Frisk, Gaster, and Flowey vs Chara fight would be so cool.
Betty: *Kill asriel Death: "Come to papa" *Asriel come back to life* Death: "I'll get you next time" Hate: *Stabbing asriel Death: "I will get you this time" *Asriel become a god of hyperdeath* Death: "im done"
Basically the asriel dreemur scene: that one character who has a literal (almost) god form turn who also turned into a good guy teams up with goat man but has a last name now… and also becomes a badass and fights with the “we made him good now” person against the red eyes meme
I just noticed that at 6:24 chara’s eyes get less red and more black.showing that he became less determined and a lot more hateful after hate ‘killed’ asriel, amazing detail
@@A.R.C.1997 yeah but for copper his sister didn’t have a DT soul so she couldn’t but it refused even if she did have one she probably wouldn’t have enough to do it and that caused coppers DT to fade meanwhile asriel had DT in his soul and he had enough to do the but it refused
So asriel got a "but it refused" moment. It makes me think that the look on his face wasn't one of "oh God I'm dead" but one of "Oh thats right I totally forgot that I have the literal power to become a God of hyperdeath" this was an amazing ride I enjoyed every second of your content thank you camila for your time and effort into these animations over the years I've enjoyed them greatly.
The Animation, the sheer display of Power, THE MENACING CRIMSON BUSTER SWORD, It's all amazing! ^^ As always, You did an excellent job, Camila, and I'm looking forward to the prequel season!
Everyone’s always taking about their headcanons and why HATE is this or that, but has anyone ever talked about how goofy it looks sometimes, i mean it’s eyes at 7:12 are so stupid looking and i love it
I would like to add here the fact that Chara fought hate with only a Kitchen knife (well not the entire fight, but at least 85% of it) and he defeated it
I love how Chara seems to draw upon Hate the whole battle to fight, and Asriel almost dies in the battle. It's not until Chara desperately tries to protect Asriel, that Hate gives in.
I find myself coming back to watch this almost every day and each time i do it gives me chills, everything about this fight is just so perfect and looks so good i can never get over it.
Chara and Asriel was fighting Chara's former self, a ruthless killing entity who was enveloped in HATE and killed everyone he saw in his way, but the new Chara, alongside with his brother, saved all of humanity instead of killing them. It was nice to think of that.
Well, it's Chara's personality completely perverted with HATE and run by it So it's not the same as S1 Chara S1 Chara wanted to ERASE the timeline to free it from glitch and RESET it He didn't even used ERASE outright like in "normal" genocide, but left Asriel the choice
4:56 *Recognition flashes before your eyes* 4:58 *You hesitate* *Suddenly, the memories are flooding back...* *It fills you with HATE* *...The hesitation is gone*
4:11 This "heart crack" of the hate was actually foreshadowed; Its the same "effect" that happened to Chara after they took Asriel's hate (but it was a locket crack, not a heart crack). Just like Chara, hate itself was also accepting its own hate. This also explains why it didn't attack Chara at the end... ruclips.net/video/Sb9A-TQX99M/видео.html
That was one of the best fights in this season. It was so epic, tense and emotional. The voice acting, music and sound effects made it so amazing. Your animation has improved so much. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next. I'm sure the season 3 will be amazing too or maybe even better. I'm looking forward to it. We'll also learn more about this world and many things in the prequel, I'm so excited! I've already rewatched this fight like 20 times, but it's still not enough for me. Keep up the great work and stay determined!
honestly i expected this fight to go different. considering how much EVERYONE struggled with noire the entire season, i expected hate to really be a close call. but honestly, the fight felt like chara (and asriel) were in the drivers seat the entire time. it felt a bit anti climatic for me. it still looked amazing, but it felt like hate was outclassed the entire fight. the 3 skele-bros vs noire is still my favorite scene because it looked like they are fucked even as 3. and then sans got outsmarted (which like never happened) and they BARELY won because gaster snapped.
Ok actually I wasn't going to say anything but I completely agree. I remember watching the finale, seeing the black blob corrupt Ronan, and thinking that we're going to get a lot out of the Hate situation, but it was just some humans struggling to take down one guy and then an 11 minute fight against the new monster, who's powers were shown to destroy literal cities within seconds. Honestly I would have probably like it a bit better of the ending was a little more sentimental, even sappy even, where other characters that aren't just the two strongest fighters in the world help take down Hate, maybe have a few flashbacks about the journey before the final blow, or something else. Idk it just felt like it needed more, because though the ending gave a lot of closure, it was only half satisfying, at least to me
Kinda crazy how the final fight was exactly the same in both season 1, and season 2 In season 1, Asriel is trying to save Chara from HATE In season 2, Asriel and Chara are trying to save the world from HATE
8:41 An attack that colorful and unique needs a name. The Seven Soul Imploder. It combines all Seven main traits into a single catalyst of magic, which upon activation, releases all that power into a singularity-like explosion.
To be fair, Asriel is very hesitant on killing unless he has a good reason to and technically can transform at any time he wants to unlike Undyne, which requires her to be in a life threatening situation but for this case, Asriel usually uses that transformation as a last resort and not just for all fights he gets involved in. Also, as a boss monster, his soul can survive outside his body and can be absorbed by humans, which is why couldn't automatically transform once Bete got a hold of his monster soul as her companion prevented that from happening.
In case you didn't notice, HATE also has emotions, Thus proving Frisk's HATE being that being. 5:32: Hate's eyes glow, as he knows he just missed. 7:12 Hate's eyes slim, as if he knows what is about to happen. 8:39 Hate's pupils shrink, as if threatened. 9:45 Hate feels like he had let down everyone, and cured his HATE.

@Glitch!Chara я думаю он имел в виду кучу нераскрытых деталей в самом сериале. Например в одной из последних серий Санс узнает что Чара заменила Фриск но этот момент так и остался нераскрытым
I want to just put some praise out there. I’ve been with this series since the original sans fight video. How the animation style and story telling has evolved over the entire series is beautiful. A artist in their true craft, and having such a large audience for it. It’s a wonderful thing. I’m so excited for season 3 and how the story goes and to see how the style keeps evolving.
Yo, same! I really like undertale as a whole, and seeing things like this just warms my heart and makes me keep appreciating the fandom. Glitchtale, the series I continuously come back to... I can't wait for season 3!
Even though the HATE fight was short, and it would've been cool to see everyone team up on him, it did what it needed to do. Doesn't need anything else in my opinion. Besides, in a single battle, HATE was pretty well established. If people do want to see more of him, this fight specifies pretty nicely what he can and can't do, so if you want more HATE, go make it yourself, I guess.
To be fair, all of the other fighters were either incapacitated or injured. Asriel and Chara were also the 2 fighters that could deal the most lasting damage anyways, although other fighters certainly could've assisted.
I wuldn't say its something he can use at will. It likely is something that needs a lot of determination to be achiveable. Like Frisk "But it refused" from the game
i assume its similar to the "but it refused" you can get only in a true pacifist run during the asriel fight in-game, since thats the only case in undertale or glitchtale that a soul ever actually *shatters* and the person doesnt die (undynes body starts dusting, but her soul never shatters). considering even frisk, the most determined human in the world, could only refuse their soul at a single point, refusing a soul like that must take a LOT of determination, so for asriel to do it, its most likely a one-time thing. he cant turn into that at will, he just had an extremely rare DT rush.
I’ve been here since the beginning, watching the story, and Camila progress has just been phenomenal. I can’t wait to see what else Camila has in store.
anyone else think it's kinda a bummer how quick this "massive enemy" died? literally 2 people killed it and there wasnt even a single death but it's meant to be a stronger enemy than even betty was?
camila, i cant even say the words to express how good this series is and how many people loved it, im so glad that there is a prequel in 2022, thank you for all the good times, .crying.. and SANS. and keep up the great work your doing
So, something I don't see discussed here (probably a bit obvious but I wanna point it out) I LOVE how both Asriel and Chara are displayed as being fueled by Hate themselves during the fight. Letting it power them, but overall controlling and directing it - using their hatred of the Hate entity, and directing it into a will to protect everything they love. Sorta like two opposite sides of the coin - directed rage vs uncontrolled power. Or something like that...
I like to imagine how my 2017 self would react to watching this fight scene. The amout of improvement from ep. 3 up to what we have now is just straight up astonishing. I would probably think that a whole group of animayors adopted Glitchtale and animated it alongside Cami.
I generally thought asriel was gonna die (I haven’t watched glitchtale for a while and I forgot how it goes), but then asriel just refused and it was amazing.
Camila's drawing skills have evolved considerably in the past few years I must say. This animation is so smooth, yet much more detailed than many animations you'd see on RUclips. A good examples is Chara's and Asriel's facial Expressions and how smoothly they change during the whole fight. I personally think Camila could even animate an anime with how good she's become As always, this is an absolute Masterpiece. Outstanding work, Camila :D
@@vincentecisneros777 i was going to explain why not for sans but i didn't so here's the explaination: the thing for sans is that the only thing we really see is sans gets injected with determination and that'sa pretty much all, well then wee see him after paps battle, meanwhile for asriel, Frisk traded spots with chara, chara made a whole new time line, then basically half a ep for the new timeline chara to heal asriel.... yeah a lot of things happened to save asriel
Not gonna lie, the ending of the fight had me feeling kind of sorry for Hate. Yes, it's a being of pure destruction and has brought everyone nothing but misery but... it honestly can't help itself. It's literally just a product of its environment. And everyone who had it used it for evil purposes (Chara, Frisk, Betty). All its known its entire life is fighting and causing pain. So it must have felt that was all it could do. But it hesitating and giving up all on its own implies some form of sentience beyond that, maybe even a very twisted conscience that realizes fighting was pointless and it wouldn't achieve anything by killing either Chara or Asriel. The fact that Hate seems to gain true sentience just as it died, as implied with it gaining an actual facial expression instead of just vaguely eye-shaped lights in its head, is kinda heartwrenching with that knowledge.
This will be as close as we get to an Undertale movie and you know what? I think it's the one AU that makes the most sense for it and i'm happy how this finally ended, you've come a long way Camila and the effort shows. Never stop being great.
What I find incredibly fascinating about the ending scene is just how suddenly the Hate was as soon as Chara protected Asriel. Given how Bete, a soul of Fear, was created from the use of a Bravery soul, the complete opposite of Fear, may have to do with this. As an old Star Wars quote reads “Fear leads to hate. Hate leads to anger. Anger leads to the dark side.” So what could possibly defeat Hate, meshed with Fear? Bravery, and maybe even a bit of love. Charas will, their *determination*, even, to protect his brother, who he loves so much, is what did it in for Hate. But what do I know? Maybe Camila has something else planned for us, but I am excited to see it nonetheless.
Never would i thought to live and breath to witness 2 of the OG villains Chara and Asriel from the canon game working together to defeat and arguably the biggest threat in history very rare these usually it never happens but this is a treat
That ending… wow, that’s as powerful, and the hate seemed to look a little sad to die, which made it even better, someone who is literally fuelled by hate is able to feel sad it’s ending already is an extremely powerful message, and that little wholesome moment of “thank you for being my brother” was so cute
My favorite thing about video game inspired content like this is the sound effects used for attacks, especially the "big ones" and how messing with how they sound makes them feel "bigger" if that makes sense
And here we are, the season finale. I can't wait to show what I have in store for Season 3, the Prequel is meant to be an original story that can be enjoyed by people that have NO idea about undertale at all, but also by poeple that have been following glitchtale since the begining.

Making another arm from the legs while fighting mid-air
Sprouting wings
Splitting itself into two and using each other to launch themselves apart to dodge or not allow Asriel and Chara to team up
I don't think it's necessarily evolving. Just becoming more human.

Watching this back has revealed something interesting. A lot of people really praise the details in the fight near the end, with good reason but I wanna point something out from the beginning. At the beginning of the fight, this thing had absolutely no idea how powerful it truly was. Look at the way it was almost just testing out what kind of powers it had at the beginning of the fight

WHAT THE HELL THATS SO CLEVER
Also the fact that it ended up growing a mouth and giving off a "wow..." vibe
is thats the reason why the hate is sad? because i mean for purpose of hate seeing of 2 brothers can't believe why she killed human and monster, could be right about it thats clever but if im wrong then ye sorry im just bad as i dont remember but ye it could be the reason why the hate started on her. and then just believed. what happen.
its also Frisk's hate so at the end that was one of the reasons why he stopped
you can tell where camila was really having fun animating this, especially with Hate, the fluid animations of gaster, sans and papyrus all being badasses against bete and then Hate itself almost being a fluid creature are all really showing. The amount of effort that went into animating this with such detail is seriously impressive. Fantastic work drawing all this up, especially so long after the undertale craze died off.
In reality must've been like heck but worth it
Only thing I wish we could've got out of hate was more usage of the soul abilities. Would have been fun to see the two of them have to fight around the soul traits cranked up to 11

Good theory but at this point Betty is already dead. Actual reason for why it gave up isn't really clear.
@@radical9619 She did die, but the idea that human consciousness persists past death is present not only in Glitchtale but also Undertale (i.e. Chara was "awakened" by Frisk's determination). I think that in the end the HATE was still the hate of the original bravery soul who was opposed to the unity of humans and monsters, but once they saw that Chara was willing to sacrifice theirself for Asriel, they realised that maybe monsters and humans can live in harmony, so they just gave up.
Good theory
Hate is a separate entity. And he / she gives up only then that he comes to the conclusion that his actions are meaningless and simply dies resigned.

Despite the fact that this battle was almost as long as the Battle of Ascendance, as I call it, if feels _so_ much shorter, and I'm not really sure why that is. ok but is no one talking about the god damn *swords* that cami draws? absolutely incredible design, and even better choreography!
i love how in the end hate accepted its defeat
its almost like the more chara and asriel fought hate the less hateful it was
Even though the HATE fight was short, and it would've been cool to see everyone team up on him, it did what it needed to do. Doesn't need anything else in my opinion.
Besides, in a single battle, HATE was pretty well established. If people do want to see more of him, this fight specifies pretty nicely what he can and can't do, so if you want more HATE, go make it yourself, I guess.
Short???
To be fair, all of the other fighters were either incapacitated or injured. Asriel and Chara were also the 2 fighters that could deal the most lasting damage anyways, although other fighters certainly could've assisted.
Being honest, now that Asriel can turn into a god by will makes him stronger than any other glitchtale character by far
Man, remember megalomaniac?
@@someperson9613 I'm re-watching megalomaniac every day 5 times its hard to forget such a beautiful song
Same boi
The ending music to this made me cry it was so serene and calm props to Nyx for these awesome compositions.
This is just impressive, watching the 2 final battles of glitchtale 1 and 2 back to back you can really tell how much cami had improved as an animator
anyone else think it's kinda a bummer how quick this "massive enemy" died? literally 2 people killed it and there wasnt even a single death but it's meant to be a stronger enemy than even betty was?
I mean fighting the god of hyperdeath and a human that was able to control his own hate isnt easy
@@edu8281 kinda lives down to how hyped it was last ep though, right? Specially with the monologue Betty did while dying
nine episodes for that
Asreil is the god of hyper death
I do feel like it was a slight anticlimax
If you slow the speed in this moment -> 5:28, you can see Asriel at milliseconds to save Chara while he leaves a trail of color behind him.
Created a Lil sonic rainboom while he was at it as well
Holy yeah I just noticed that, thats usually not something you’d see by playing it at normal speed, the small milisecond of Asriel!
Asriel is gay confirmed?
@@Bob_theking what💀
Lol
Chara and Asriel, the perfect duo for critical situations, gets the Feature 'die or nothing'
camila, i cant even say the words to express how good this series is and how many people loved it, im so glad that there is a prequel in 2022, thank you for all the good times, .crying.. and SANS. and keep up the great work your doing
Yes, it's the only series that made by a SANS FAN, but she outcasted him
It's incredible
Even X-tale/Underverse is full of SANS
@@narrativeless404 correction: underverse is pretty much sans only. And with a few original characters, but that's about it.
So, something I don't see discussed here (probably a bit obvious but I wanna point it out)
I LOVE how both Asriel and Chara are displayed as being fueled by Hate themselves during the fight.
This fight scene was amazing from the strategy to the perspective changes in each scene and the animation just flows so well. Beautiful.
I like how asriel impulsively decided he’d give chara a heart attack
I mean they are basically brother and sister, a pair of these sure do love causing heart attacks to eachother😂
@@hihello5590 real
Camila's drawing skills have evolved considerably in the past few years I must say. This animation is so smooth, yet much more detailed than many animations you'd see on RUclips. A good examples is Chara's and Asriel's facial Expressions and how smoothly they change during the whole fight. I personally think Camila could even animate an anime with how good she's become
As always, this is an absolute Masterpiece. Outstanding work, Camila :D
This should be considered an anime lol
@@kakunatube5264 yes
Definitely one of my favourite fights in the entire series!!!!

Asgore: Remember son. Dying Is gay.
Asriel: Yes father
Lmao 😂
Asriel: Nah! Run it back!

But it refused
Hate: tries to murder everybody
Also hate: gets depressed then vanishes into thin air
6:55 talk to the hand
This is intense magic and animation right here. Keep up the amazing work!
The Asriel fake death got us all by surprise and I'm pretty sure that everyone started crying. (again)
not me, for me it wouldn't make sense for cami to add basically a whole episoide for reviving asriel, if he was just gonna die again.
There was a thought in the back of my head that kept going "but it refused" and holy shit I shat myself on the revival.
@@cowplusdog5655 Nah he just said: CAN I STOP DYING!?
And it worked
@@cowplusdog5655 well it happened to sans so like idk lol
I just wish hate just got that little kick of a burst of adrenaline (per say) and just stabbed Chara's heart out
@@supersonic2175whoa that came out of nowhere..
6:48 mans really remembered asgore saying "remember son, dying is gay. yes father" and just didn't die
Yeah I remember that ut last breath meme
Lmao 😂
i love the animation is the best i never seen of glitctale congratulations for this masterpiece
This will be as close as we get to an Undertale movie and you know what?
I think it's the one AU that makes the most sense for it and i'm happy how this finally ended, you've come a long way Camila and the effort shows.
Never stop being great.
Wth this isn’t an undertale movie this is an undertale anime
It's an AT not an AU
0:06 If you listen close, you can hear voices and screaming from within HATE.
@Rayyan Remy Wonder if that has to do with HATE's origins?
@@basophobia maybe or maybe not
@@basophobiahate is just Irral😂😂😂
Imagine if Hate's final phase is Irral himself, wonder how chara handles Irral
Maybe Camila has something else planned for us, but I am excited to see it nonetheless.
its anger leads to hate
Never would i thought to live and breath to witness 2 of the OG villains Chara and Asriel from the canon game working together to defeat and arguably the biggest threat in history very rare these usually it never happens but this is a treat
That ending… wow, that’s as powerful, and the hate seemed to look a little sad to die, which made it even better, someone who is literally fuelled by hate is able to feel sad it’s ending already is an extremely powerful message, and that little wholesome moment of “thank you for being my brother” was so cute
Hate felt a little regret(i think)
My favorite thing about video game inspired content like this is the sound effects used for attacks, especially the "big ones" and how messing with how they sound makes them feel "bigger" if that makes sense
