Its going to be a tough system to collect the whole boxed pal set, but I think the journey will be exciting for you and us viewers.

Why? This is not something that is impossible. Perhaps would have been a lot harder before marketplaces like ebay and facebook marketplace but this is far from impossible now. There is always that guy that has to be a naysayer.
Its a tough one, it would be amazing to have a full set. But you could just go for the games you actually like/want to play instead and then spend the extra money on upgrading the condition of your favourite games.
Everyone collects in their own way, I had a lit of full set collecting discussions when I went for the Wii U set, and ultimately for me it's as much of a collecting goal and a focus as anything else.

About 6 years ago, I got infected with the Retro-virus. I was browsing RUclips and stumbled upon a, pretty 'famous', retro-collector showing his gameroom. I then decided on the spot that I wanted to collect retro-games and in particular the Super Nintendo. But since I'm late to the game, I decided to go for cartridge only and put them in Universal Game Cases + laserprinted covers. That is already expensive and quite difficult these days but CIB? I applaud you good sir! I'm also impressed with your already sizeable collection of boxed SNES games. Currently I'm at 238 PAL SNES games and have a quite long way to go still, just like you :)

I started in 2009 and finished my PAL set in 2013. I actually sold the lot in 2016. Im based in Australia so i managed to get all the AUS versions first then the UK ones. Got all the French, spanish and NOE exclusives. The hardest ones were the SCN (Scandinavian) exclusives. The real full list from memory is 534 games. There is a football (soccer) game that isnt even listed on the PAL list found on the internet.
The last game that took me roughly 6 months of looking every day was X-Zone. I even had 4 starwing competition carts before i got the elusive X-Zone

best of luck getting the full pal collection because as someone who has been collecting for almost 2 decades its difficult but there is gems to be found a few years back got a near mint boxed with manual copy of Demon's Crest for £10

Best of luck mate! I'm primarily collecting for the Xbox 360 at the moment as it is one of my favourites! My goal is to just try and have a big library of choice but a rule I have set myself is I only buy things I want to play 😅

I decided many years ago to just collect cart only for Snes and I only collect the best games, and games I'm interested in from each region - made up of pal, usa and jap games.
I recently purchased my first snes game in years, after your skyblazer video I found out that the same dev made hook for the snes previously and what a 'gem' it is!

Good luck on the hunt bro! It's going to be some undertaking, but I guess the trick will be just to enjoy the journey and take it at a steady pace like you have been doing! Easier said then do when you see the grails for sale, but It'll be excited to carry on watching the journey!

I'm going for various sets, taking my time, just keep chipping away at the end goal...the way prices are any full retro set has many expensive titles but, it's the thrill of the chase, just make sure you have an updated list of what you need including manuals etc, so you don't double up!

A lot of going for full sets end up fine tuning the collection a bit, sell/trade a few bits to make space and raise funds for the true cause! You might be able to tempt others into a trade for snes stuff you want, saves handing over the readies!
I think your gonna need a 4.0 lol. An the thought of boxing a few hundred games into the plastic covers is chilling.

One thing i've never heard you talk about is your job (i've only been subscribed a couple of months.) Must have a good income if you're planning for a full set! Looking forward to what else you add to your collection.

Hey, cool! I hope you get the complete set of games. I've got Mega Man X3, but I live in America, so mine isn't the PAL version. I bought it when it was in the stores initially. It was pretty expensive even then, and it was gone before it was ever reduced in price.

Great one , I seem to be hitting snes games hard to recently , just ordered a CIB demolition man from Australia so looking forward to receiving it in a few weeks paid £160 inc import tax and postage , didn’t think that was to bad!

I’ve roughly got about 300 boxed games for the Snes I’ve gotten most of the rare ones boxed whirlo Megaman x3 and x2 all the final final fights earthbound boxed with manual and scratch and sniff cards. I don’t think I will ever try to get a complete collection as I do not add sports titles to my collection. I’m just happy being able to buy the really good ones and playing them from time to time.
Wow that’s quite some undertaking, but I’m sure you’ll do well at it and I wish you all the best.
Though a good thing is that you’ve made a decent start with nearly half the set done.

That's what it's all about, collecting what you jave a genuine passion for, I did Wii U as a collector goal because it was realistic, SNES isn't as realistic 😂 but it's my favourite system....no rush. Congratulations on the master system set 👏
@@RetroGhetto Thanks dude, I never set out for a full set just wanted a lot of sms games as thought it would be cool as never had many as a kid then it grew and grew to the point where I was stuff it I want them all 😂😂 I’ve now been filling my full with all the things I wanted as a kid 🤦♂️

The SNES is a great console. Although I couldn’t spend hundreds of pounds on a single game that I’d never play 😂. I guess it all adds to the value in the long run and the collection will be worth more as a complete set.

I am approaching 800 original xbox games. Like your collection, they are boxed with manual, not bothered with the added leaflets and bonus material at this point. However, I didn't appreciate how much room it would take 😅 I recently purchased Room Zoom, which was a heavy hitter to me, but there are so many better games. I still think my collection is cheaper than the SNES, but that's the price of cardboard I guess 😅

At least Sonic Wings / Aero Fighters didn’t come out in PAL - that’s saved you about 1k 😂 honestly I wouldn’t stress about it mate, I used to go for full sets - I have very close to a full PAL ps1 set, about 40 games off - though there are some expensive titles in that! I might go on to finish it one day, but if I don’t I don’t. My favourite thing to collect for is the Japanese Mega Drive (I love the box art designs I started the collection as a bit of a novelty) I have about 60 games, but I’ll never have a full set - aren’t gonna pay 100 quid for a Japanese copy of Desert Strike when I can pick up a PAL copy for a tenner (or play for free on the Everdrive lol).PS I had a CIB SNES copy of Wolfenstein 3d I sold about 5 years ago for 90 quid 🤦♂️

Is there anyone here who can help me find the name of a childhood memory Nintendo game? Not sure if it was SNES or Nes.
I remember a sound like the intro of ‘orinoco flow’ by Enya. Me and my twinsister could play it together; both in the same level against the enemy. The lay out comes close to the original Donkey Kong game, the one with the stairs and the planks/floors in between. Only with more bright colours, pastel I think.
You had to fight with incoming enemies and if you caught one you swing them from the left to the right until they vanished.

This is just my opinion but I don’t see the point of collecting for a full set cause I mean yes you’re gonna have some good games but the rest are just gonna be filler titles
