@@JeanneFeisont Demo Magnamalo was considered by many one of the toughest fights because we weren’t super used to the Wirebug mechanics yet, being forced to run across the entire map with a 15 minute timer was harsh, and we weren’t too sure how to handle Magnamalo’s fight exactly. Just a matter of us trying to adapt to something new.
Gore was kinda on the fence due to his whole Frenzy thing being really big but Vaal Hazak is a big no no. Guy literally needs a pile of flesh to sleep in and I don’t think any of the maps are gonna have that. Blackveil Vaal Hazak has a better chance though.
I started with mh4 ultimate and gore magala was so cool to me. Now it’s like seeing a badass supervillain that’s feels like an old friend. Like “Yeah that’s my frenzy CORRUPTER! That’s my MUSCLE DRAGON!”
@ When narga was introduced to world in Iceborne they also gave him bleed. Low and High rank in Rise for narga didn't have bleed either. So, Master rank narga might have bleed like he did in world. Reg Narga - Nothing (bleed in 5th gen master rank) Green Narga - Never fought or played, not sure on the differences. Lucent - Poison and Invis Silverwind: Ranged wind shurikens that did bleed.
Espinas is the one Monster I felt would work perfectly in the main series, and I've wanted him to make his appearance since, like 4U. So so so happy to see him make his debut! And this opens up the door for all kinds of Frontier-exclusives.
Monster Hunter 4U was my first Monster Hunter. I loved Gore for all his magnific design and when I realised he transformed into Shagaru Magala I fall in love with this game.
Online is Chinese only. Frontier is a 12 year long (As in it got title updates for 12 years) monster hunter game that serves as the basis for a lot of the concepts in the main series. It was on all consoles, including PC and things like Wii U. It was shut down, but it had SO MUCH due to going on and updating and changing engines for 12 years, that it had just a metric crap ton of mechanics, like weapon length systems to have Greatsword sized Dual Blades or Dual Blade sized Long swords. Frontier ended up having so much content that it now is what is used as a base for new ideas in newer games, like the elemental blights in Rise and some monster movesets like Raging Brachy in Iceborne, Alatreon, Velkhana, Fatalis's final phase, and many other things. Basically we wouldn't have mainline monster hunter the way it is if it weren't for Frontier. Also it had 89 UNIQUE MONSTERS that never made it to the west....until now...these monsters are basically so wildly different from mainline monsters at times, like monsters that use light, dark, or magnetism statuses and other insane stuff. Though Lavasioth is a Frontier monster and in Freedom Unite, Hypnocatrice was a frontier monster. For a long time, it was unclear if frontier was canon or not along with the unique species there, but now that they mentioned frontier and included its flagship, Espinas, it's a HUMONGOUS Door opener because frontier is basically the gatekeeper for all the other spinoff only monsters and areas to be included.
Espinas is a BIG deal, like...the BIGGEST deal for the series to see back. Lucent Nargacuga is a poisonous Nargacuga that can turn invisible, making it very difficult to track. It's very fast, sudden with its movements, and insanely tough unless you know how to really read a Nargacuga and predict them. This trailer introduced two of the most important monsters in the series. Gore is in general a monster many people didn't expect, and possibly the most important story monster in all of monster hunter due to just how many mechanics and effects come from his inclusion. Espinas is the first new thorny monster at the beginning. Many new players to the series don't really understand anything about him of course, but he's THE MOST important monster to see back ever. This guy isn't just from another older monster hunter game, he's legit from an entirely separate Canon series branch of monster hunter only in Japan called Monster Hunter Frontier. For the longest time, we thought frontier was never coming back since its shut down, and since they never made it clear on whether or not frontier was Canon, we thought all 89 of the crazy monsters from frontier would be lost forever. But Espinas is the flagship monster of frontier, so him being here is SERIES CHANGING, his inclusion changes the future of the entirety of monster hunter, so he is quite a big deal to see. I will also note that sunbreak so far has WAY more monsters than iceborne, and with many other things included, so it is safe to say it's a bit of a huge upgrade over world.
Can't wait to get my hands on that Monster Hunter Sunrise Demo soon! I'm so glad they brought back the original Jungle map from classic MH to Sunbreak. Would be awesome if they can bring back Deserted Island too. Forest or jungle locales in Monster Hunter to me just feels right man. Also those strong motion blur effect on Gore Magala. They look exactly like the one during the intro from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.
I wish I could play the demo with y'all guys but I've been working like crazy. Still, I have 2 weeks off starting July 1st so hopefully we'll be hunting by then.
I found that last comment funny: "Low Rank and High Rank are not that long. You can do them in 30-40 hours easy." That's how long it takes to 100% many AAA titles. Monster Hunter really does spoil us.
To be honest, I struggled with the entirety of Gen 5, especially Worldbuilding. What saved it for me was the open map revolution and the good graphics. However, I was even less satisfied with the Worldbuilding in Rise than in World. That's why World was the better game for me. To be honest, I'm more looking forward to the sixth generation than to Sunbreak.

I personally don't look for world building in Monster Hunter, at least not in the traditional sense. I enjoy seeing the monsters and learning their biology but it kinda stops there. Gameplay and fluidity are what matters to me most, personally, so Rise tops world there, at least for me.
Magnamalo was so hard in the demo he literally one shot you. I can’t imagine how difficult malzeno would be when we fight him in this demo.
Hope the demo comes out soon, like, today!
@ the Demo will come out tomorrow at I’m assuming 5PM PDT. Give or take.
Demo Magnamalo is pretty much Event Quest Magnamalo
Eh? Magnamalo was so tame compared to the Nerg and Val demo fights.

Gore Magala fits so well in this dlc knowing they’re going for a dark fantasy-ish theme. Hope we get vaal hazak as well

@@itsturniptime3699 I mean they brought valstrax back as a variant, they could hypothetically bring back blackveil to take its place

I'm glad Espinas is coming to Sunbreak. Considering Frontier was a MMO that was only on Xbox, PS and PC but only exclusive to Japan and Taiwan.

Also correction when Lucent was onscreen: Lucent does Poisen, what your thinking of that bleeds is Silverwind Nargacuga
Thank you. It's hard to keep up with all the species, subspecies, etc.

GORE MAGALAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Espinas is technically a bigger deal but GORE MAGALA LOOKS SO FUCKING COOOOOL
@ I know!!! Things are about to go CRAZY!
Oh I get it. I'm hoping we get Tonfas in the next MH game, we need a new weapon..I just absolutely adore Gore Magala.
@ Tonfas would be cool to return. But I don't really recommend since they're busted. Unless they decided to add more busted monsters to MH6
I think if anything, they'd dumb down the Tonfas so they aren't overly busted.
I love the reaction between a person that know monster hunter vs a person that KNOW monster hunter.

So glad someone knows espinas
Espinas is from monsterhunter frontier z that was only released in China or japan
"HOLY SHIT I WANNA KILL IT I WANNA WEAR IT I WANT ITS WEAPON!" Peak Monster Hunter player grindset
Bleed was introduced in gen 4 - silverwind bleeds, lucent poisons
Shagaru Magala is definitely a title update.
HAS to happen.
*SURPRISE!!!*
Some people don't seems to understand why Espinas appareance is a WAAAY bigger event than Gore Magala's return
yea sure
Yeah, but... Gore is like one of my favorite designs, ever. I get it though.

I read somewhere else along the leak of Espinas and Gore Magala that also Malfestio is gonna appear in Sunbreak
I hope it's true.
Malfestio is most likely gonna be in a title update

MFW I get hit by Espinas breath attack and get both fire and poison at the same time lol. Have fun new people XD
People want the game hard, so there you go XD
Don’t forget the paralysis, so yes, a monster that deals triple status
When all is said and done, Rise could end up being the best Monster Hunter ever.

Shagaru magala is in!!!! There was a leak picture
It makes sense, so I'm just happy to know it's coming.
I wonder if Gog is here as well since they are technically the same body type.
Sad people saw the leak right before the showcase. seems odd they put all these reveals on that loading screen
Right? I'm pretty bummed out but still pretty happy about it
Imagine the shagur version (srry if spelled wrong
I'm ready for Shagaru.
absolute hype!!!!!
Frontier was only in Japan and partly south korea. But it wasnt xbox only, it was on PC and PS aswell and i think on wii in the early times aswrll
