16:00 if a Czar has the power to convene, do they have the power to publicize? If so, they may be able to use public shame as leverage to achieve their goals. Elon has a pretty big megaphone.
The more I listen to you guys the more I realize how out of touch you are. The root of the problem is how people feel, any changes that significantly alter policy and has a negative impact on the people will have consequences. Let’s get back to reality guys.
Consequences? Empires decline all the time because no one deals with consequences. Feelings don't tell you how to deal with deep-rooted structural problems. They just lead you to one Pied Piper after another. There's the old Russian tales of times of suffering when a con man would claim that he was the real Czar, who had been replaced by an impostor. He would whip up a peasant rebelliion and be crushed, and later it would happen all over again. No one learned anything because the peasants refused to accept that czarism itself was the pinnacle of a bad system. They just wanted magical thinking. There is no guarantee that we won't become that stupid.
@@warheadsnation Agreed. The Iron Law of Oligarchy, the cycles of human organization at play. Ultimately, the cycles are rooted in human emotions and the masses tend to be easily influenced by emotions over logic.

48:47 - Bernie Sanders circa 2016? But he couldn't overcome the Democratic Party machine.
46:30 You are describing Laura Trump.
Commenting for the algo.
Putting money into changing america politically is not virtuous COMPARED to making changes to your platform to change America
Very insightful ... until the AOC stuff, that was just nuts.
