Watching this a couple of days after the live stream. Not because I'm interested in buying one, just because I like listening to Chris play and present the instrument
Hi from Sibiu Romania. I dont have a Pa 5 x but am so amazed of it and watch you with big enthusiasm for the much desired time when I ll be able to buy it. you re doing such a tremendous👍 work there. thank you so much !👏
Brilliant livestream guys! It was really good to be able sit back and watch some great playing. Kudos for doing it live, Chris! Your occasional comments were really insightful too, cheers. b
From what I see in this manual I love it already. It has so much more than the Genos. I had a Genos for 30 days and returned it because I didn't have the time to fiddle with all the things to bring out it's best quality. I like stuff that is like tyros 3 a lot of preset equipment and the ability to alter that.
Very nice demo than this one.. , and interesting. Regarding the sequencer, I would like to know if you can precisely edit the 16 tracks of a song created with 16 different instruments, but also edit the 16 tracks when using the arranger (intros, variations, etc. ..)? By 'editing' I mean being able to correct your own 'ducks' when you have recorded .. (chords of the left hand, midi notes of the 16 tracks, duration of the notes, volume of the notes, place of the notes, etc. ..), whether in a song WITH or WITHOUT the arranger functions. I refer to the sublime sequencer of my Kronos 2-88 where EVERYTHING is editable ('track edit') If this is not possible on this PA5X, then my future purchase project will fall through .. Of course, I will have to visualize (demo) the detail of this sequencer to see what can be edited with precision. For years, I have been involved in sound programming and song editing (Triton, Oasys, Kronos, etc.) Thank you for answering me with precision and possibly with links concerning possible work on the midi sequencer of this PA5X . Who doesn't make 'ducks' while composing..?! So, you will understand my objective.., I sincerely hope so! Best regards . Pierrot
Had my PA5x for about two weeks now, and I'm still finding things it can do, it's amazing. Such a giant leap in quality compared to my Yamaha PSR-s970. Where it shines for me is the voice editing and from scratch voice design. You can layer up to 24 samples into one voice, each sample can be edited too. Or you can go so deep into this and edit the actual sample waveform, and import you own samples to work on. If you like synthesizers, this sample based synth engine will keep you smiling. The Genos seems to fall way short of anything like that. One last thing, stings on Yamaha arrangers have always sounded thin and harsh to me, but on the Korg they are fuller & sweeter but still still have bags of texture,
Being an owner of several Arranger keyboards starting at the age of 8 as a kid, with the original Korg i3..owner of the Korg PA1x Pro, and currently own the PA4x..listen up Korg, you guys obviously are not listening to your customers. The presets on this new version are 98% the same as Korg PA4x. I personally dislike majority of the presets since I hear most of them on my PA1X pro. I like to write my own styles personally, and one thing I still can't figure out is why Korg can't add a note repeat option for writing beats..example: hi-hats, to hit a pattern of 1/16, 1/32, 1/64 by touching one key. Presets on all genres needs to be updated along with drums samples and better overall sound selection when it comes to Bass/ Synths/ Pads..etc. I just don't understand why Korg can't bring something new to the table like Akai did with the MPC Keys 61. Imagine having an arranger keyboard that is also an synthesizer and a Samplers like the Akai quality. I personally guarantee it would check out all the boxes. With that said, having the PA5x and Akai's new MPC Key 61 together would be an amazing set to have in the studio and while gigging.
Can you import your own STEMS for BACKING TRACKS & if so how many Audio Files can you playback simultaneously. are you able to playback vi the keyboard itself as I noticed their is no SD.
good demo i have yamaha psr sx900 but pa5x is more complete and refined but, sorry, non amplificate .What ampli you use for pa5x? Thank you and more 👋👋 👋from Ostuni (italy)
Just wondering does it record on line in mini jack the reason I ask is that I have a yamaha sx900 and it records on line in and saves to itself also records from blue tooth from my phone and saves as MP3 on itself fantastic audio recorder what would be really nice if it had a multi Chanel audio recorder
Those guitar sounds would sound much more realistic if you played them thinking 'guiyet' instead of 'piano'. Remember that you can't play more than 6 strings at once. Just being constructively critical because you've otherwise done a great demo and you're a fabulous player! No offence intended. 😊
I’ve owned a Korg pa4x for years, use it at my gigs. It looks like Korg took away the ec5 foot switch option???? I sure hope not! I use the ec5 to control the drums and fills in real time at ALL my gigs! Is there another option for control of stops, start, fills, a b c d sections with a foot switch of any kind? Man, I sure hope so, or I can’t buy this amazing new PA5!
since we can use VSTs or AU (for the Mac) for a lot of sound possibilities, how about we then just buy the best keyboard under $1000? Would you like to compare the best keyboards around? Maybe it is Korg D1, Roland FP-30X, perhaps the Kawai ES520 or 120?
Best BOLERO style ever made. But the name title it’s wrong. Not is BossaNova. It’s Rhumba or Beguine “Bolero”. Remember style beat based on Rhumba style made for Roland E20/E30 (1989)
I want to know this too. I have a PA900 and a Krome that both take almost a minute to boot up. Great keyboards - but stupid slow. Cmon Korg, put a decent chip in them!
Hi Chris, Jean-Claude here from Melbourne, Australia. Thank you for demonstrating the all new Korg PA5x. In your professional opinion, would you say the styles are better on the Yamaha CVP- 809 or the new Korg? Thanks
The korg definitely. Especially with the twin style engines being able to mix two totally different styles to make a new one is incredible. Had a play yesterday.
Both are exceptional, preference comes into play a lot. I think the PA5x offers a more complete set up overall, but you absolutely can't go wrong with either.
Both are ultimate music powerhouses. Which one is better for you depends on your sound taste and requirements. For me I own a Yamaha (sx900) since a year, so this time I ordered a pa5x a few days ago.
Subjective to opinion of course, but not the majority. Local GC did a blind test between a number of different arrangers. They did 15 sounds pa4x vs pa5x. 77 people voted and only 1 person voted the pa4x sounds were better. Lastly in my Korg group, thousands of people, almost everyone thinks the pa5x sounds better. You can also find video comparisons of these two keyboards, and looking in the comments, no one thinks the pa4x sounds better, even the player said the pa5x sounds significantly better.
is that all what can doing with famose pa5x than is bether to buy casio dynamic betwen 0 -1000 pa only 0-127. Sounds is much more bether, and chaper instruments. for piano playing is not suitable this instrument.
Hello. Has anyone brought up the midi issues with Korg Pa5x? I am using my 5x with an external sampler via midi to trigger certain sampled loops from the external sampler. It works OK but as soon as the keyboard set (sound library) is changed, additional samples or loops get triggered also. It seems like even when you turn off the midi out channels assigned to Upper 1, Upper 2, Upper 4 and Lower off, they still sent signal on Midi. This was working perfectly on Korg Pa4x. Any suggestions? Thank you.

hello from toronto. Great demo. cant wait to get mine thats on order. Gerry
Mine too.
Can the audio inputs (not mic/ not guitar) and stereo aux be routed through internal effects?
No answer?

Is this the Korg PA5X? Is it certain? . 8 Pads?

Does it come with blue tooth?
Why would the PA5X come with Bluetooth? Literally no keyboard I know has Bluetooth.

You don't understand what you are talking, this arranger has some sounds that are better and realistic than many of the synthesizers.

pa4x has such slow boot up time. you can do a load of laundry by the time it powers up.....
I never quite understand why so much time is spent on piano voices. Wouldn't a piano player just get a piano?
It's a deep topic, Piano is such a huge thing for us "Piano heads"
What's wrong - why are you broadcasting the dialogues in mono on the right channel? It's very tiring :( but the presentation is cool!
Narration sounds muffled.
Krystaliczne brzmienie tylko grać nietylko pianistą
