    Wow! Just wow! This video, everything you said, the diagrams, EVERYTHING! One of the best tutorials I've followed.
    Also, thank you for making the stitch multiple so clear. I can't stress enough how important knowing the multiples is, for others to make a pattern to a size they want! Thank you!!!!!!

    Repeat 21 + 15 - Thanks!!! Love your videos because
    1. You explain each step very well
    2. You give tips along the way to help us remember the pattern and not have to feel "glued" to the written pattern after a few rows
    3. And probably my favorite is your inclusion of the repeat in order to adjust the size to each project.
    4. I also love your color coded pattern; its a huge help to us visual learners

    I made this afghan using Bernat Baby Blanket, pure white. I substituted cable rows for the V-rows. It’s luxurious and soft. I love the cable pattern, but I actually like the backside more than the front. It’s beautiful. Thank you so much for this detailed video. I cannot understand the charts for the life of me. I just noticed that you broadcast from Nova Scotia. I am from Windsor, Ontario. Nova Scotia has experienced three devastating tragedies recently. I agree. I have seen another RUclipsr Designer number her repeat pattern rows slightly different. Instead of having the even numbered rows as the return row, she had each row consists of 2 parts. (1, 1A; 2, 2A.....). Only having the numbered rows without the letters. Less visual content. Easier to follow. MHO. Thank you Mikey. I enjoy your spirit and clear instructions.

    Would you consider showing a text correction (using text overlay or subtitle box) at 1:07:36, when Mikey made 2 front post treble crochets instead of 2 front post double crochets at the end of row 9. It may seem trivial and unnecessary since information is in the written pattern, but crocheters who use this video as a CAL (instead of the written pattern) will make that same mistake on each row 9 throughout their blanket(s).

    I'm following along with the video making this blanket and just realized it's not exactly like the original thumbnail picture. (The original blanket on the blue chair) those cables go outwards and the one that hes doing in the video the twist that's ontop goes towards the left .
    This happens on row he's doing at 43:17 minute mark.
    This is when your treble post the 3rd, 4th, then 1st & 2nd stitch. That should happen at the left of the cable but to the right of the cable you treble post the 3rd, 4th and go behind to do the 1st then 2nd that way the 3rd & 4th are above the 1st & 2nd stitches

    Thanks for this amazing tutorial! What a great teacher. One question, though. My project has holes in the back. Am I doing something wrong?

    • @genX49
      @genX49 3 года назад +2

      It will if done this way, but I did a modification in the single crochet rows to take care of the holes in the four triple or dc post sections and double dc post sections. While sc in the back, I picked up the back loop of the "hole-y post" sections before picking up the 2 loops of the top and did a loose single crochet in those 3 loops to close the gap. I did this because I used the cable pattern for the front of a sweater I made for my baby grandson. It worked great!

    Will you plz put "cc" for deaf people. I'm deaf I need to know what you saying. 😁

      @TheCrochetCrowd  7 лет назад +6

      The CC are done by volunteers of our community. For this length of tutorial, it will take upwards of 7 hours to do the CC. The volunteers can pick which videos they do and are doing about 1 video per day in our library. CCing takes a lot of time to do, so they are doing the best they can.

      This is really late but usually a free pattern is in the description so you can read the pattern for the instructions and use the video as a guide to make sure you are doing it right. That way you know what the person is talking about while still having a visual

    Thanks for your help. I would have liked to get a copy of your graph, however, I don't like the idea of adding the "ext", especially when it says it can make changes to my computer. O, well.

    Could you use a smaller yarn and hook size for this pattern and just chain more than 120 (in sets of 21 + 15) at the beginning to make up for the difference? I have a lot of Caron One Pound yarn in the same color on hand.

      Use the same sets and change the hook size to match Caron One Pound and it will work out.

    I need help, if anyone can help me. I would like to make this in full size. I know it's in multiples of 21. How do I know what number will give me which size? I've always had a problem with this. Any help is helpful :-)

    Do you HAVE to use this texture of yarn? could I get the same results with a different skein of yarn as long as I keep the same size yarn/hook?

      Hello, I've been going through comments to see if there are any hints, and your question caught my attention. I've just started doing this afghan, hopefully it will be completed in time to raffle off at a family reunion, but the yarn I'm using is Premier Puzzle in the colorway Crossword. It's a five weight yarn and slightly fuzzy, and has several long color changes. I'm using the same hook size, an L-8.00MM like Mikey, and from what I can see you get the same texture. Mine is different because of the fuzziness and color changes, while I think the yarn Mikey is using is more smooth. The cables are appearing beautifully and because of the fuzziness there doesn't appear to be any of the 'holes' other comments have mentioned. I hope this helps.

    What is a good method for joining yarn when you’re at the end of one skein and need to join the next?? Magic knot or Russian joining method??

    I hope you still see these comments sir, I got through 1-14 then as I started I realized two the outer ribs go over the middle crossover ribs. I’m still very much a novice but I was wondering if there is a way to correct it as I’m fine leaving them in the first round of 1-14. Pleeaase helllp lol

    Hello, can you please do a video tutorial of the new yarnspiration pattern named "Braided cable crochet blanket" ?
    I would love to do the blanket to gift her to my sister, but I don't understand the written pattern and I don't know how to read diagrams 😟
    I'm from France, so the crochet vocabulary isn't the same, I'm lost 😔
