I've always loved the running up with windmilling arms to then just repeatedly kicking him in the nuts! Fantastic! I haven't seen this video for years. Absolute classic!
when people say its fake and all videos are fake, thats fine. but theres a difference from being lazy on your computer than actually seeking the art to see for yourself
I love the classic argument of who's style is better or which fighter would win in a match up. Fights are unpredictable and if you've ever trained period in anything relating to fighting you would know it's a very big mistake to ever guess the outcome of any encounter. If you've ever read Bruce Lee's Tao of Jeet Kun Do he states this directly as a component of mentally preparing. The Art of War by Sun Tzu states that you should not judge your opponent as anything more or less.
@SkemeKOS I am no Kung fu expert but Acrobatics isn't the only thing taught in Kung fu, I'm pretty sure. martial Arts isn't just about brawling. It teaches you balance, readiness, speed, strenght and self-control, it will inprove your health and fitness as well.
whenever i defeat one of these monks in a fight i like to watch them crying on the floor and see in their eyes that they now realize they are not true warriors, but a tourist attraction with all their easy little parlour tricks like breaking dried wood, mud-bricks and such.
@JohnRaptor Actually, anyone who's seen how Shaolin monks train will know that those "slaps" are full powered strikes, with the blades of the hand, rather than the palm. And the kick to the groin is something they train to withstand as well. And it's possibly one of the most important fighting skills of all. If you're unable to take hits, you are at a disadvantage. The skull and groin are no exceptions. An attacker sees vital areas as targets, so you need to strengthen them.
sure u do, competition allows you to separate the fact from the the fiction. allows you to see whats practical and whats just practice. i dont often like to quote movies, but bruce lee said something like: a sculptor doesnt keep adding on clay, he shaves away layers until his master piece comes to life meaning, whether through free sparring or sport competition you learn what works for you and u shave away all the other stuff
For those of you that think the slapping is soft, they have to slap 10 gallon buckets of watever every day for 2 years until it empties. It strengthens the tendons in the palms and wrist to unbelievable strength. Oh yea, and that is just the beginning. They start THAT particular training when they are children. So, until you've been slapped by one, you have no idea how hard those palms are. Trust me.
shaolin is known for thier defensive skills and evading opponents, when they spar they dont try to kill each other. This is just like shadow boxing, they are training on techniques and form.
@moniker127 And FYI, we didn't go "kick their assess" with our ninja fu. My friend's fiancee pushed him in the car while I started it.Drove off, called the police, no footage, no case. They couldn't pay the bills for months because his job paid for the rent. I had to pay some of it. They went through rough times all for what? Some guys wanting to reenact UFC moves? That's one incident with UFC fans I've experienced. There's a reason why MMA affiliated brand clothing is not allowed at some clubs.
@thegliphic Thanks for sharing your opinions. I'm not talking about this anymore. You have your opinions I have mine. Neither are facts. Just opinions. You are welcome to your own just like I am. Take care. Regards.
You can get onto a mat and train with others through sparring. Sport and competition are regularly a matter of "who is the best." instead of "what are my weaknesses, how can i perfect myself." I can see fully where you're coming from but you don't need sport or competition to further yourself.
It depends on how you use martial arts. It's certainly not practical to use most of what you learn in martial arts, but there are freestyle fighting tactics that work.
This video is for demonstration purposes only!!! They are just showing a few glimpses of what kung fu involves. You would actually be a lot better off ignoring what they are doing and read the subtitles.
You can see he's limiting the damage (with the groin kick) by thrusting his hips forward, therefore not recieving the kick's full impact. The second kick I believe, was the kick that would hurt the most.
BALLS OF STEEL. Awesome vid, funny but shows some realistic ability. It's not a joke, it's not unrealistic, it's not orchestrated. They are simply sparring and not using full contact, which is why it looks "silly". Of course it's going to look "silly", since proper sparring is the adult equivelant of play-fighting :D Only way to tell the difference is they just don't seem to be hurt from the attacks.
Be Formless, shapeless like water. Now if you put water into a cup it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle, you put it into a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash, be water my friend.Bruce Lee
now grasshopper, remember to breath in through your nose and out through your mouth, yes, control your temper. put down the over grown chopsticks and breath :-)
@SkemeKOS Also the reason why MMA fighters like to use multiple style is because when they get to an opponent of equal skills their style mastery could make a difference at that time. Do not forget as well that old style like Judo, karate, kung fu, etc...is the root of ALL styles today. Modernizing or moving away from the traditional side of it doesn't make better...
mma is backed up by vids of fights shaolin is backed up by history, and history speaks louder than mma competitions, also shaolin have badass swords :D
they condition themselves. Basically if you get hit there many times over a long period of time you'll lose all the nerves there and therefore the pain goes away.
It'd help if you read the subtitles, they're basically just documenting the ways they condition themselves. You can always ask to challenge/spar with a shaolin practitioner, they're grounded and well conditioned and trust me you will end up on your backside. Fyi every art has it's pros and cons, but all are good arts, would be enough to defend yourself on the street nonetheless. Again learning MA isn't always about fighting, it's more mental and physical disciplines if you know what I mean.
@dekal1 I understand what you mean, but what I'm saying is that if this type of fighting were the best or most effective, it would be the main style for top mma fighters and in addition for the majority of other fighters. People gravitate towards whatever is the most successful.
@SkemeKOS How old are you anyways? what fighting style have you done? I hate when people think watching 2 big sweaty brutes on TV's knocking each other out using jujutsu and mui-tai is martial arts. Martial has never been about who hit the strongest but about art mastery.
@felo790 Not many because they never really leave the temple. They are religious people, not fighters. but they developed this fighting style to protect their temple from invading warlords, plunderers etc...
even if the whole nuts kick thing was real and you couldnt feel it or it didnt hurt much....take those same balls, but them on table or some thing and hit them directly with a sledge hammer. if they arent hrt or injured in any way, then ill believe it. even if this is real it just means he didnt feel it (or that it didnt hurt) not that his nuts arent permanently crushed.
Careful. Just cause they can't survive an mma bout doesn't mean their martial art is bullshit. MMA is a SPORT. It has rules, regulations, and gear. I myself am a martial artist, and I could give you, off the top of my head, three very effective techniques that are disallowed in mma or simply wouldn't work in that scenario. Shaolin Kung Fu is NOT bullshit, and the average shaolin monk could wipe the floor with me and you, at the same time, with his eyes closed.
holy crap. The current Brock Lesnar mixed with the more BJJ experience and the techniques and speed of Kung Fu would make him a fricken invincible powerhouse of death.
If you look closely guys, when he attacks the "balls", the other one anticipates by "holding his ass in" (you know, like holding the stomach in) so the kicks goes on the ass and not the balls!
@thegliphic Put an MMA guy stand on a spearhead in his stomach, how much can he stay? Put an MMA guy walk a few miles a day on his hands, how much can he walk? Put an MMA guy break bricks with his head, he'll faint after the second. Put an MMA guy sit with his neck in spears, he'd probably die. You would think all of these don't help the monks at all, but they do, they have "inhuman" resistance. Put an MMA guy hit a shaolin in the head, and then put the shaolin hit the MMA guy in the head :D
It might look as some kind of "dance" but actually it confuses you, it can mislead you to stuff. Distract you. And than a guy like that strikes. And no , fighting is not an art, it's survival in most cases. Also see that guy getting kicked in the nuts numerous of times without even showing any other movement? Or show he's hurt. That's a stable mind, and it works way better than recklessness.
Yeah it's pretty much a tourist attraction and wushu performance now... It's almost impossible for it to be like how it used to be since the other shaolin temples were burnt down.... Chinese gov were so afraid that the monks would rebel against them...
Actually, it is realistic. This fight is designed for its participants to practice a number of body-strengthening techniques. You'll notice that the techniques are listed at the bottom. Except for the specifically listed techniques, the rest is full sparring, with the styles taken from a variety of Shaolin animals. The one in the partial gi is practicing Crane style, while the one in the full gi is practicing Tiger style.
They have built up chi (energy) that makes the body as hard as stne meaning that the do not feel any pane through out the body and they can channel it to there hands to make bricks break.
Now.. to comment on Shaolin... they are a nearly 3000 year old style of martial art. Focused on manipulating and training the body to perform certain feats to the utmost of the body. Shaolin meditate to train thier minds, and undergo CONSTANT phsyical tasks to build thier body. Including the hardening of the body, science recognizes this as the natural process of the body. Damage yourself, and it grows back strong. Done right -ANY- part of the body is thus a weapon....
I've always loved the running up with windmilling arms to then just repeatedly kicking him in the nuts! Fantastic! I haven't seen this video for years. Absolute classic!
For being so smart in so many fields they sure dropped the ball on realistic fighting styles
hahaha!!! those slaps to the head were EPIC!!! I want to learn the head slap defense now!!!
"set set settt set haya set set" sounds good ! 0:37 wuuoowww verry strong indeed, lol
lol I love the beginning where the guy's like chopchopchopchopchopchopchop! :D
a bunch of monks realized they wouldn't have to fight anybody if they could convince people they could fight.
AMAZING, they are from another world, simply another level.
Haha, I love the title. Props on calling it that, man!
when people say its fake and all videos are fake, thats fine. but theres a difference from being lazy on your computer than actually seeking the art to see for yourself

Dynasty comes and goes, yet the Shaolin Temple always remains.
@SkemeKOS
I am no Kung fu expert but Acrobatics isn't the only thing taught in Kung fu, I'm pretty sure.
martial Arts isn't just about brawling. It teaches you balance, readiness, speed, strenght and self-control, it will inprove your health and fitness as well.
One thing we all can agree about is we felt more pain than the guy getting kicked.
I was laughing when the Shaolin monk in the blue robes helped the guy up and then just hit him again at 2:45
whenever i defeat one of these monks in a fight i like to watch them crying on the floor and see in their eyes that they now realize they are not true warriors, but a tourist attraction with all their easy little parlour tricks like breaking dried wood, mud-bricks and such.
wow i have never in my life seen anyone take 20 shots in the nuts and still be standing lol. amazing stuff, i have to give him props for that
1.-copy and paste
2.-paste it in 2 different videos
3.. hold breath for 10 secs
4.- look at your hand
THat ball shot hurt me, I can't believe he was able to take that
No one can win a true shaolin monk unless there's a true Tai Chi master.
A kung fu kick to the groin is instant vasectomy right there, its so fast you don't feel a thing!
@JohnRaptor

holy crap that dude is what you really call of balls of steel
0:56 "oh shit he just slapped me! i better back off before he does something really crazy!"
the dim mak stuff in the end is sick
@moniker127 And FYI, we didn't go "kick their assess" with our ninja fu. My friend's fiancee pushed him in the car while I started it.Drove off, called the police, no footage, no case. LOL, i know huh?
this whole video is just hilarious
@thegliphic Thanks for sharing your opinions. I'm not talking about this anymore. You have your opinions I have mine. Neither are facts. Just opinions. You are welcome to your own just like I am. Take care.

wow 4 kicks of pure balls and he takes it like a ninja
I like the sound it makes when he slaps his head.
You can get onto a mat and train with others through sparring.

I like the title. "Totally realistic".
the man taken multiple kicks to his groin after that most people would not have a future
Goodness gracious, great balls of fire.
this is where the term "balls of steel" come from
It is the same as Benny Hill slapping the bald old guy's head XDDD
You can see he's limiting the damage (with the groin kick) by thrusting his hips forward, therefore not recieving the kick's full impact.
The second kick I believe, was the kick that would hurt the most.
Crazy Video ----> Gib Disziplin ----> Big Respect to this Shaolin´s from Germany!!!!
BALLS OF STEEL.

I CRYED.................. at the ball bit
here here. Someone that knows what they're talking about.
What martial art are you learning?
It's all about energy direction. Hits generate energy. You just shift it elsewhere.
Interesting. But there is a real alternative to all this: Mixed Up Martial Arts - ChessBoxing -Brainy Fight Night
even thought the guy was in a please dont hit me position
he got several kicks on the balls
very rough scene indeed .....
1:47 one of the funniest shit ive seen.. gonna do that stance and noise when im getting in a streetfight
Be Formless, shapeless like water. Now if you put water into a cup it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle, you put it into a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash, be water my friend.Bruce Lee
I think that one full-speed mawashi-geri-jodan will end this theater... or few knee-on-head attacks
now grasshopper, remember to breath in through your nose and out through your mouth, yes, control your temper.
put down the over grown chopsticks and breath
:-)

mma is backed up by vids of fights
shaolin is backed up by history, and history speaks louder than mma competitions, also shaolin have badass swords :D
This isn't full-fledged Shaolin fighting. This is training. They train by intentionally receiving blows to build resistance. It's not a joke.
I hope the "Totally Realistic" part was meant as sarcasm... It's a nice choreagraphy, nothing more.
they condition themselves. Basically if you get hit there many times over a long period of time you'll lose all the nerves there and therefore the pain goes away.

Pretty hilarious imagining Brock Lesnar learning Kung Fu.
He'd be doing constant push ups from disobedience xD
@dekal1 I understand what you mean, but what I'm saying is that if this type of fighting were the best or most effective, it would be the main style for top mma fighters and in addition for the majority of other fighters. People gravitate towards whatever is the most successful.

0:38 jesus christ those monks have balls of steel.
What I learned from this video: When you're kicked in the balls 4 times, respond with a two-handed sissy slap.
Be able to withstand someone lightly slapping you on the head and pretending to kick you in the balls is hardly a fighting skill.
i laughed so hard when he stared choppin him in the head in the beginning
wow, now I feel very stupid. But to be honest, I never heard that expresion before, not once. Well, you learn something new every day.
even if the whole nuts kick thing was real and you couldnt feel it or it didnt hurt much....take those same balls, but them on table or some thing and hit them directly with a sledge hammer. if they arent hrt or injured in any way, then ill believe it.

do you have the whole document from which you got this clip? if you do, please upload it!
There is more to the world than the small place you live in. Only because you can't do it doesn't mean it isn't possible
This has actually been disprove in recent years, but new tests results should be providing additional data.
Careful. Just cause they can't survive an mma bout doesn't mean their martial art is bullshit. MMA is a SPORT. It has rules, regulations, and gear. holy crap. The current Brock Lesnar mixed with the more BJJ experience and the techniques and speed of Kung Fu would make him a fricken invincible powerhouse of death.
Hehe cool slow motion! xP
@inkeininja i take my words back, ive watched your video and i never realised how truely hard you are.peace out
If you look closely guys, when he attacks the "balls", the other one anticipates by "holding his ass in" (you know, like holding the stomach in) so the kicks goes on the ass and not the balls!
526 people got pricked on chung-chang pulse and fell on the ground
What are the Shaolin styles demonstrated in the video?
hes got "Ballz of Steel"
if my enemy don't go KO after 2 kick in the ball, my strategy become : RUN, RUN, RUN,RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN,
shoalin fighters are born with balls of steel
i swear when he kicked him in the balls i heard a subtle popping sound.
@thegliphic Put an MMA guy stand on a spearhead in his stomach, how much can he stay? Put an MMA guy walk a few miles a day on his hands, how much can he walk? all through out 0:37 you can see he's got balls of steel.
up until i saw this video, i thought a kick to the nuts will drop just about any guy.. man i was wrong! lol XD
They have built up chi (energy) that makes the body as hard as stne meaning that the do not feel any pane through out the body and they can channel it to there hands to make bricks break.
Quan chi?
Those kung fu moves remind me on the super sentai series when they use some kicks
No kids for him.
Im quite sure I havent laughed like that in a good ten years...
if you had skills like this u wouldnt need a gun.
The trick is that he turns he´s hips the way that the balls go front and up,so the kick goes to the area behind the balls.
0:40 i'm still laughing :D :D
aren't these people supposed to show like some sort of honour ? xD
Now.. to comment on Shaolin... they are a nearly 3000 year old style of martial art. Focused on manipulating and training the body to perform certain feats to the utmost of the body. LMFAO at the begining, u see how fast the dude hits the other dude's head! LMFAO
