Wow, what a career and life so far Greg! You've inspired myself and I'm sure many others, and that's only talking about the last chapter. I'm keenly tuned and rooting for you in this next one..
Thanks Kieran, your own film making is great so I'm sure we'll be hanging out together in the youtube 'recommended videos' sidebar for a long time - perhaps we can make something fun together in the Highlands?
@@FlyWithGreg Sounds like a plan!
What Is Islam?
Islam is not just another religion.
It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham.
Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God.
It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone.
It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine.
The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as:
{ “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4)
Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus.
Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him
@@ahmdabdallah5811 thanks but i think i'll stick with Christianity as I was taught..
6:38.... Greg, I can't IMAGINE your father not being proud of your accomplishments. Also, will be buying your books. I have been reading fantasy novels since I was a boy of 13; based on the reviews I'll be sharing your series with my oldest daughter in no time! Anyway be proud of what you have accomplished, in paragliding alone you have probably enhanced so many pilots abilities and probably have saved lives with your teaching. And you have set your daughter on a limitless path by showing you can achieve your dreams by hard work and determination. Best of luck and happy flying!
You’re one of my favorite pilots to watch. I’ve learned a ton from you and you really inspire me.
Greg, even after all these years you continue to inspire pilots both old and new with your brilliantly crafted and narrated videos. A big thank you from all in the freeflight community for sharing your journey and insight into our collectively loved world of ultimate freedom. We salute you, to those that dare!
Lovely daughter, so happy to fly with you! :-)
Love from Pakistan and a Dad of 5 Yrs old.. you are a true motivation and hero for every dad and adventurist... Safe landings....
You are pure free flying soul! You was at begging of this beautiful sport ❤ . Is just amazing how we can do what just birds did for thousands years . Many people was dreaming about this technological step, people were risk and loosing there life's in past , jumping off from cliffs, hills, to make their dreams of free flying like birds. Experimenting and finding the way to reach the sky's. We living in Gold age of pure free flying. Honor to everyone in pass 🙏 You doing great job to keeping everyone safe👍 Your videos are inspirational and educational. Love them ! Take care and fly safe like always. Thank you !
You to a "free flying soul" ya crazy m f..... 😉
Just watched your vid on the Cure 2 after doing a quick hike n fly for the first time since all this craziness. Great to have guys like Greg and yaself showing how to enjoy life. Flyyyyyyy on guys 🕊
@@heyitsalanhere 🙏 that what we was born for ❤ touching the sky 👌
Thanks Peter! It's great you are adding to the youtube paragliding culture too ... people learn in different ways.
I agree you Peter. In my opinion Greg Is not only a great pilota, but a brilliant person.
@@pietrobonucci9677 absolutely !
GREG I SALUTE YOU ! I HAVE FOLLOWED YOU FOR SOMETIME AND GREATLY ENJOYED YOUR FLICKS AND VERY USEFUL COMENTS AND INSTRUCTIONS , I THINK YOU ARE "LEGEND" !
I WANT TO MAKE FLYING MY LAST CHAPTER AND THE LONGEST IN MY LIFE!
That was a very inspiring 8 minutes Greg. I would say flying was my - "reason to be". Starting with my mates pushing me up and down the pavement outside my house in a home built cart with linoleum covered wings when I was 9 or 10 years old, later, about 13 years old, going into work with my dad when he worked at Saunders Roe and hanging around the hangar doors until I got helicopter rides in the Scout, Wasp and Skeeter with the test pilots asking if I wanted a little flip - did I ? A charity parachute jump when I was 40 nearly ended in disaster with cracked vertebrae when the round military chute pendulumed close to the ground and landed me on my back.
I was determined to never leave a serviceable aeroplane again and started flying lessons in a Cessna 152. I remember my mum and dad being so proud of their little 42 year old taking them for a flight in the schools 172 when I achieved my PPL. I progressed to a commercial licence that I never actually used but continued flying GA.
I started paragliding lessons on the Isle of Wight with a view to paramotoring and visited our Fresh Breeze friends in Germany to buy one of their machines. My 120 hours or so paramotoring were stand out experiences and I got so much out of it, one highlight being the sharing of a thermal with a Buzzard over The New Forest.
I don't paramotor any more, I may again but I have a Foxbat aeroplane now and (and this is the point) can't wait to get back into the air again and look down like a bird and smiling and thinking WOW, how privileged am I? I felt that with your film, thanks, James.
It's so amazing how many pilots I have yapped with around the campfire that have a similar early story! I'm no different, nor is my own dad; it's in the blood, it's gotta be. We're all brethren in the sky.
Catching a dream! Certainly still one of the best paragliding films, love watching it time to time, keeps me inspired.
Thank you Greg. Such a great story. I just started @ 53 here in Hokkaido, Japan and I'm not going to lie - I had panic attacks after I finally decided to spend the BIG money it can take and follow this long-time dream to fly. And I still have a lot of fear because I literally am on day 4 and am just now running down the slope and catching some air. But it's people like you and a video like this that helps me to push forward to make it to the day when I soar off the top of the mountain - overcome my fear and make my dream come true. All the best.
Thanks a lot to be here, heelping new generations to discover this beautiful passion. Thanks from all my heart for your advice and your videos!
Inspiring as always, it's late in Montreal but I'll sleep with this good feeling waiting for better weather, thanks, Greg!
Nicely done. I've made over 7,000 jumps in my life. I wish I could show people my story like this. Thanks.
If this is not inspirational, nothing is!!
Your story resonates on so many levels.
We all have our "thing", and sometimes we loose sight of the goals.
Your story gives hope to the un-hoped for, gives voice to the unpublished, gives meaning to the meaningless...!!
Just luvit!!
So amazing....I liked watching this many .....many times. Thanks and happy always ....👍👍👍👍👍
thank you for sharing your story!
We are all blessed to be able to share the best form of aviation with such an amazing pilot/person thank you so much for your videos
Great life!
I can keep repeating this sentence...; “ this was you best film ever” ....Once again inspiring. Thx for this personal insight and all the best with your plans!
Thanks Milco, it's funny, I'm always left feeling a bit dissatisfied with anything I create, which pushes me on to make a better one ... I suppose that's why I create. :-) I had to skip past so many stories and good friends to make this one, but I hope everyone enjoys the glimpse of history.
Go Greg....we will support you!
Definitely digging all theae videos. RUclips is a great training enhancer
Glad you like them!
Thank you for helping me into the sky. ❤️
beautiful... thanks for showing us all how to really enjoy this wonderful sport!
Discovered your books during lockdown. Loved them. Hope that you’ll continue writing one day.
As always you produce another great video thanks Greg.
Way to go, Greg! You are such an inspiration. Thanks for sharing and the teaching. Cheers!
Beautiful, Greg! Thanks for sharing your story. Newbie flyer her with a handfull of hours. You are the most inspirational pilot on RUclips, thanks for being there and guiding us.
Guiding you off a cliff, some would say :-) welcome to the void
Now I am sitting here with tears in my eyes. Great story, great life. And all of your videos show a nice guy, who loves his life. Best regards from Germany!
Thanks Martin ... but then again, I only show the happy guy that gets to fly all the time, not this grumpy dad who is trying to do homeschooling or edit videos on a nice sunny day ... grrr ;-)
@@FlyWithGreg True words! But correct me, if I am wrong: You are happy as more as grumpy or sad. ;-) And that is what counts.
Yet another awesome video. Your dad would DEFINITELY be super proud of you. Good job 👍
Thrilling story! Thanks for sharing your passion with us!
Awesome life story. I hope Fly With Greg is a big success. Your daughter is a lucky girl!
This Monday I will start my training, I feel inspired.
Love your videos, thanks for sharing
Have fun!
Have fun!
Cool.
Keep up the good work.
I'm a 3 year 150 flight novice, so I learn alot from these.
Much appreciated.
Thank you Greg I love my daughter so much 3 years 7 months and she is my heart most love brother and a great therapy fly fly fly.
Fantastic video Greg. A real motivation for all of us who are learning to fly.
You’re such an inspiring guy! Thanks Greg! 😍
Greg. You rock! Love your vids and your life. Inspirational 👍🏻
"Which one is better hang-glider or paraglider?"... "Hang glider"... "Noooo"... That moment your daughter becomes a hang-glider. Great video Greg. Keep up the good work!
Yay! I got a mention in your vid! :) Was so cool to share in a small way in your story Greg. Oh btw way, love your little girl and she is now my little hero for saying HG is better... Hehehe... ;)
Johan, you're a legend, and I wish we'd pulled off our original plan for Fresh Air Riders: a spectacular XC volbiv trip along the mountain chain. The nature of freeflight makes it so unscriptable. Guess that's why we love it still, after all these years. Guaranteed to surprise, inspire ... and lead one completely astray!
Thanks Greg for your inspiration,I’m only dreaming not flying, but you’ve made me feel like I’ve flown around the world with all your videos, thanks again
Lekker story, Boet. Very inspirational. Thank you for sharing.
Such an inspiring story Greg. I've started to watch your videos even before realizing that i was going to be a paragliding pilot. I am a pilot for 7 years now. Keep Up!
Cool you're just getting started then :-)
Epic story Greg, you've really lived life to the fullest. Your dad would be proud - you're the real deal.
Strong inside! Beautifully put; weldone mate!
So inspiring. I love your channels. Thanks for sharing so much knowledge.
Great Greg, congratulations for living as you want. Air, nature, fly, freedom, is a good and brave decision. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yeah, what a career ! I got emotional. I wish I could be your student sir.
we love what you share and your passion i share :o) Thank you !
Great story. Cute daughter... Love your videos.
Looks wonderful and looks much safer then hang gliding.
Thanks!
Such an awesome story!
Fantasties!
In my vorige lewe was ek 'n ppl instrukteer, maar het altyd gewens dat ek kan sweef. Wie weet, dalk een van die dae.
Dankie Greg
Good luck Greg on new endeavor. You have one more follower! I have enjoyed your videos for a while now. They are inspiring.... thanks for keeping true to yourself and for sharing it with us !!!!
Amazing story, fantastic 🙏
Great video mate, and a flying story to be proud of.. so good to see folks out there flying again.. cheers
Mate I love this! Such a heartfelt sentiment, and in the flying world, (and who cares about the other one), you are indeed a true leg-end!! :)
Thanks Dickon, and I'm looking forward to seeing where you go in your flying rebirth.
Just keep on man, never stop!
Your story is beautiful, so is your purpose. Your dad can be proud, and one day you'll be a proud dad too.
#impossibleisnothing
Greg, good luck from fellow SAfrican and flyer. We SAfricans sent people to the space station this week, see what we can do if we put our minds to it. I’ll be watching your trajectory keenly. 😎🤙
Great documentary! All the best wishes to you and your family.
Very Motivational, thank you so much.
Amazing Greg!!!
youre my hero
Thanks Greg,
May your dad be proud and your daughter free. A lovely story of your flying career so far.
I'm flying tonight. Pushed into the sky by a noisy two stroke motor. Free flight seems very peaceful.
Thanks Sandy
What a great story Greg!
Superb!
You are just amazing, Love all your videos . I'am starting my why on this flying world and your videos have been so useful. Greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴 Hope to meet you soon.
Dear Greg
The video you made is very beautiful, exciting and touching. Thank you very much . I wish you many years of self-fulfillment and safe flights
Thx for sharing, unusual, appreciated! stuff
Dude, what a story so far!
Living in SA just off the Garden Route, I've had the immense privilege of flying with Jan Anderson, Nevil Hullet and Pete Wallender. They are still legends!
Thanks for the great content, it's always inspiring and informative.
Living Legend!!
I love this !
Haha I love fantasy books and I’m a pilot. Look forward to checking your books out! Nice life story too and agree with your parenting advice. ...Give them the chance to feel how amazing the world can be.
inspiring and motivational story, since i start flying, i learned a lot from your videos. Thank you very much
Thamks!
That's epic, I remember freex well.
Keep the awesome videos coming
Yeah there were the freexes and then the things their team pilots were flying which kicked ass, looked the same but my f*k did they fly faster
You say that you want to make your dad proud of you... I'm sure he already is !! Thank you for the beautyful and instructional vodeos you provide Greg ! Best regards from Switzerland !
...and by the way, I'm reading fantasy and I love it !
Loved your story Greg love your passion, your adventures have inspired me, just bought a paraglider and currently absorbing all your valuable knowledge, i can listen to you all day, your professional and safety advice gives me confidence to fly, and one day hopefully I'll be good enough to fly with Greg, thank you and look foreword to your future videos.
This was great, thanks for sharing your story, Greg! :)
Good luck man... you deserve it.. x
I didn't have to think twice to subscribe to your channel, I really love your contributions. Keep on going Greg!
Great video mate. I'm just about to start flying and should get my PG2 in a few weeks time. I have my own setup ready to go and both of my kids (aged 3 and 5) are wanting to fly with me. Hopefully soon they will be able to. Thanks for all of your video's and the work you have done over the years, much respect man
Hi Greg, You probably won't remember me, but we flew together in Cape Town and in a few competitions in the early 90s. My first PG was also an LP Pro. BTW, I found out that this wing was know as the Comet in Europe. My XC record with this wing, was from Dasklip to Porterville 😂. Good luck and keep well.
Lekker boet! Well done on starting your own channel. All the best! Your videos are great.
Keep on going. I'm following...
I love this Greg...
Thanks for sharing Greg! That was, like all of your videos, inspirational. My dad also set the bar for me, it is very important to be around and a model for the kids. If everyone was like you Greg, the world would be a much much better place
Good luck with this new venture Greg!
Thanks Nick, careful you might end up in my 'Gnarly Geezers' series :-)
@@FlyWithGreg Ha Ha it would be a honour Greg!
inspiring story and great passion
Bro, this is a story. Just keep going at this pace. Maybe one day we'll meet somewhere in the air.
What a fantastic video story. Thanks so much for this and all that you do for the PG community & FlyBubble
Nice.
Thanks for sharing your adventure Greg! You're truly inspiring. Funny enough, few weeks back we were wondering with friends if you have family, and my friend said you're probably married to your sigma glider :) it's really comforting and calming to hear that you have such an amazing life together with someone you love, and that you can expand (all the best to your sweet daughter) your life with that person! See you in the sky. Cheers!
Yes I'm cleverly disguised as a responsible adult :-)
Nice one chap its nice to feel your passion, you fly safe now, and cheers for the flybubble videos they really are the 1st video standard people have tried to emulate.
You have made a real difference with regards to safe flying and helped so many stay safe so hats of to you for that.
Pete
as a pilot who reads fantasy... I'm now hunting for your Books. :)
Awesome. Why not accompany the YT channel with a website, listing all the best flying sites etc
ah, that would be bestflyingsites.com/
what a cute family flight :)
Congratulations Greg.
