One thing to definitely appreciate about the series is the voice cast, being one of the few shows to use a fairly solid mix of American and Canadian voice actors. As someone who is a major wrestling fan, i rewatched this whole show plus the movie with friends and while it isn’t a great show by any means, it was a fun watch and I didn’t feel like I wasted my time watching it. They had references to real wrestlers like Rey Mysterio (the wrestler wasn’t called Rey Mysterio, but it was an obvious reference) and even got the real life Blue Demon Jr to voice himself in the final episode. Also had a lot of wrestling terms that made wrestling fans like me like “ahhh! They mentioned that! They mentioned that”! You can tell it was written by people who love wrestling and that was my favorite part about it.
This was a really fun show growing up. It probably influenced my love of pro wrestling and lucha libre in a big way. Plus the opening is still stuck in my head to this day.

As with some of the cartoons, such as xiaolin showdown, I got to watch this show off cartoon network. What you mentioned about the animation, it does look a bit dated and uncomfortable in today's world. I remember for Christmas one year I wanted masked dog like in the show, but was disappointed when Christmas morning came around and all I got was a small stuffed animal that had a button that was supposed to do something but didn't. I wonder how much that would go for these days.

I wish the continuation series had gotten picked up, because I would've loved what happened to the characters in the future. The second wave of both Signature Moves and Mix-A-Lot ended up hitting Mexico, with some English sets of wave 2 of Mix-A-Lot managing to slip into the American market in very limited quantities. I've only seen two and a half sets of the Mix-A-Lots sealed for sale, and two sets loose in my lifetime, and only a very small handful of wave 2 of the signature moves

Your channel is amazing and has brought back so many semi-lost memories that have made me so nostalgic
Buena girl was honesty my favourite of the main trio. Her design was just so cool overall I thought, mainly with her legs parts showing. Flea was also really cool too. The voice actor for that character also did bat in almost naked animals as well.
Loving all these obscure nostalgia picks! Do you think you might consider doing Code: Lyoko at some point? I was so into it as a kid, but hardly anybody ever talks about it!
I remember not caring for this show that much as a kid. I liked the style, but the overall feel wasn't really for me. HOWEVER, when I was about 15 I got super into wrestling as a sport, I ended up watching a lot of lucha libre and that eventually led me to watching this show! I loved it a lot when I watched it then, but I think it more so had to do with my huge interest for pro wrestling at the time. So, I guess you can say I do have some weird fond memories of this show.
I only remember the episode where the dancing girl needs a new dance partner and the one where Flea keeps saying his spleen is broken and ends up in the hospital
I was just thinking about this show! This came out when wrestling was super popular so even my older brothers loved watching it. They don't make em like this anymore
this was one of my favorite shows as a kid! i never caught it on kids WB but i was all about it when it aired on cartoon network lol. i even won a plushie of masked dog from a claw machine once 😂 EDIT: it also had one of the most hype theme songs ever tbh
Good retrospective on such an under appreciated series. I had so much fun with Mucha Lucha as a kid, its just not right that it didn't get as much love back then. Sure it's not perfect, as it could get too loco for its own good. But theres such a distinct charm to it's execution despite its weak spots. I hope this show will recieve more respect and admiration. Because the makers pulled off a spectacle that's fun to watch whether you're into wrestling or not. Also that theme song is caliente!
I had the most vestigial memories of this buried away, but the moment I saw The Flea I could hear his voice. And vague recollections of the girl turning into earth moving equipment. Aaah, the things that make our childhood.
Aaaa, this show was my childhood growing up! It's a shame it didn't get more overall popular. I personally liked the flash animation of it; it almost felt like a video game coming to life, but I can definitely see why it's not for everyone. And hey, if you take suggestions, there are a couple of other shows that come to mind you could cover like 'Sheep In The Big City,' and 'Mike, Lu, and Og.'
This one of my favorites back when Kids WB was still a thing, next to Xiaolin Showdown, Jackie Chan Adventures (honestly surprised that one hasn’t gotten a reboot, especially since Jackie Chan himself is probably getting too old to do live action gigs), Yugioh, Scooby-Doo and all the DCAU stuff! I do have a recommendation for the next show you look back at, Code Lyoko (another one that surprisingly hasn’t gotten a reboot yet)!
I forgot about this show, but man you unlocked some of the memories of it! Ahaha I enjoyed the show as a kid, just like many of the other shows you've been posting about! Loving this series so far too
This show could’ve been set in alternate timeline where the USA does actually annex all of Mexico and therefore Mexican culture dominated North American culture overtime with lucha libre being synonymous with American wrestling. And this style of wrestling is the most popular at least in that universe.
My Man @Jordan Fringe..... I asked and you delivered.... wow you make this channel bring back memories. Thank you keep up the great work man. I mean it dude.

The moves were creative, an the characters had a lot of different personalities BUT what this show had just like Kappa Mikey was its BADASS Intro 🧐🍷
Yes!! It’s about time you finally talked about this show. The best underrated Cartoon Network show I think!
Ah yes, proper Hispanic Representation
*omg this video put things into place for me!!!* I totally remembered a show like this with these exact designs, but I thought I was misremembering the El Tigre show lol I'm so happy to know this was a real show and not some weird memory of mine!! Your channel is amazing and has brought back so many semi-lost memories that have made me so nostalgic
As a huge Professional Wrestling fan, I loved watching this cartoon about Masked Wrestling made in the name of Family, Honor, Tradition, and Donuts.
Buena girl was honesty my favourite of the main trio. Her design was just so cool overall I thought, mainly with her legs parts showing. Flea was also really cool too. The voice actor for that character also did bat in almost naked animals as well.
in Mexico rights were leased by public tv, airing the show for longer time after its cancellation, definitely was a must in Mexican TV childhood
Loving all these obscure nostalgia picks! Do you think you might consider doing Code: Lyoko at some point? I was so into it as a kid, but hardly anybody ever talks about it!
The art style, the characters, and the intro I still remember. Good to find another fan of the series.
I remember watching it, in Greece. The only line I remember, was "Flea's spleen!".
I remember this cartoon! I was working in the States for 4 years and I love watching it. Gosh, it brings back memories.
I only remember the episode where the dancing girl needs a new dance partner and the one where Flea keeps saying his spleen is broken and ends up in the hospital
And dude I just gotta say your like the only RUclipsr I actually look forward to uploading channels amazing love the nostalgia
Ah a part of my childhood, it was good, however I haven't rewatched it. It was fun watching as a kid. Also love Nacho Libre, so good
I remember watching this on Cartoon Network back then. I would not hesitate to watch this as an adult.
Me too!
Damn right everyone remembers Mucha Lucha, it was the biggest thing ever back in middle school.
I was just thinking about this show! This came out when wrestling was super popular so even my older brothers loved watching it. They don't make em like this anymore
this was one of my favorite shows as a kid! i never caught it on kids WB but i was all about it when it aired on cartoon network lol. i even won a plushie of masked dog from a claw machine once 😂
EDIT: it also had one of the most hype theme songs ever tbh
Just found this channel really bringing some good memories back man
The Becky primos vs the chad mucha lucha
Btw, The Flea's costume is actually just as white as Buena's but it appears grey and brown because he never washed it.
I hope you'll do a "Wait, remember....?" On The Secret Show. That was my favorite Nicktoon growing up, and I think it's pretty obscure.
I had a genuine smile on my face when Secret Saturdays was mentioned. Good times those were for me.
And I love in some of the episodes they do like the crazy close ups and real life stuff, in just like SpongeBob. ❤
I've literally been waiting for you to do this video 🙌🏾
I had the most vestigial memories of this buried away, but the moment I saw The Flea I could hear his voice. And vague recollections of the girl turning into earth moving equipment. Aaah, the things that make our childhood.
This makes me feel so old.
After watching El tigre video I remembered Mucha Lucha but I couldn't remember the name and boom here we are. Thanks for bringing back memories!!!
Omg we have VHS of this show it was so amazing and always holds a special place in my heart
Love this look back at one of favorite Kids WB shows growing up, but you left out one major thing... Just how much of a BANGER that theme song was! 🎶
Great show! Theme song is one of the best I've heard of any cartoon!
Man you’re one of my new favorite RUclipsrs. Thank you for this trip down memory lane :,)
Epic. I remember watching this on KidsWB. And I like how this show is like. Well done!
Thanks so much!
YES I've been WAITING for this one. Not only do I remember it, but I loved it!!!
Yes! I've been waiting for this video!
Enjoyed this show I love seeing all the shows you bring back
