I always loved his transformation into his stronger form. Also, I remember the Robotgirl episode being adorable the way Robotboy seemed to like her. It’s definitely a show you can forget about but look back fondly at when you remember it
FINALLY, THIS SHOW IS GETTING THE RECOGNITION IT DESERVES! It was such a huge fan of this, it was incredible. I literally loved it. I want more people to know it exists.
I remember one episode where Tommy and Robotboy were linked by a headband so that the former would copy the latter's movements in order to win in a fight against his bullies. But then partway through, Robotboy has to save the day against a villain (I forget who), and tommy's all by himself... but he's still convinced that Robotboy's there and does all these badass moves and wins in the end. Once he realizes that he beat them by himself, though, he passes out. Understandably so. I loved this show as a kid.
I've not seen this show in over a decade, but I really liked it when I was little; I used to get so hyped everytime RobotBoy would become superactivated.
I think this show is great, especially with the action scenes and relationship Tommy has with Robotboy! It’s a mix of badass and adorable :D I also really love Constantine, I always find it interesting when a villain’s sidekick isn’t as evil as them, or is even a friendly enemy to the heroes on occasion. I believe it was stated in one episode he was adopted by Dr. K and he threatens to take him back to the orphanage if he doesn’t carry out orders.
You should do Atomic Betty next. I literally barely remember the show but the name POPPED in my head. And i think i remember it started to get some plot in later seasons or something
I Loved when Robotboy met his ‘brother’ Protoboy and how he tried his hardest to reform him and how he simply wanted his own brother like Tommy. It was a similar experience for me at school being an only child which made me wonder what it would be like to have a sibling.
I remember it very fondly, and I'll be damned if I don't love all three of Robotboy's forms This show and My Life As A Teenage Robot still stand out to me as having a _pristine_ aesthetic And wow, kudos to you. This video was more informative and in depth than I expected
Very underrated series I watched it and it was pretty good I like the characters (except Gus) and it was a show that was sort of brutal in its take downs like Robotboy straight up machine guns enemies.

I very vividly remember Robotboy and Gus's voices, all throughout this video they kept playing in my head lmao. Also, Tommy being shaped like Mac from Foster's always stuck out to me.
I like Robotboy's design and concept, the humor in the show was very hit and miss for me and sometimes the jokes were just inserted in strange circumstances. As an adult I can definitely see why Robotboy's speaking pattern was seen as problematic. I think this show needed more of an overarching story behind the episodic nature, because at the core, the inspiration from Astro Boy/Megaman could've been used to its advantage. It just didn't do enough with the foundation to me.
I would argue Dr. Kamikazi was more problematic than Robotboy himself. His name especially is problematic given WHAT a Kamikazi pilot in WW2 was... It'd be like having a Middle Eastern supervillain called Dr. Jihadi. Basically the same thing.

And I instantly fell in love with it, so you can imagine how excited I was when I finally got CN at home and could watch the show. So yeah I definately have some memories with the show.

It was always hype as heck whenever that music kicks in and Robotboy goes from this SMOL little friendly robot to this silent but imposing TOWL robot that will kick your teeth in if you mess with him and his friends! I was able to catch this show a handful of times when it first came out in my region's CN. It didn't last very long there, but one time it even got a marathon and I was able to watch it! Really enjoyed it for sure. Dr Kamikaze constantly screaming "Constantine!' (in my regional dub ofc, this one being latin Spanish) was one of the most memorable parts to me
I remember liking the character's art style, specially the one from Robotboy. But there was always something I never quite enjoyed from it, and now that I remember, is how everyone treats the main character, I always felt bad for that kid for always dealing with a lot of stress, trauma or harassment and noone never addressed this theme?

Nice to hear you mention the games made for Sky TV. Playing those games (using a TV remote to control!) is a fun memory that I and other people from the UK have as children.
As someone from Ireland I got hit with a wave of nostalgia when he mentioned Sky Games I still remember the music jingle that played in the Home Screen to this day.
I absolutely love Robotboy! I discovered the show in 2018 and I’ve watched it ever since. I had a few rough times in my middle school days and this show helped me get through those tough times. I’ve practiced Robotboy’s voice for a few years now (I want to be a voice actress when I get older) and I can do his voice pretty well. I love everything about this show, the voice acting, the characters design, the color pallet, even the music. Fun fact: Robotboy even has an official RUclips channel. Anyway, Robotboy will forever be my favorite animated series and will forever be in my heart. 💙
I thought I was the only who knew about this show, I remember watching this back in the day, and I thought it was alright. Tommy's character design was very reminiscent to Mac from Foster's Home imo. Also, there were kids meal toys that were released in March 2007 through Hardee's in the Middle East.
Robotboy is #5 on my list of favorite animated television series. However, while I only watched it casually when it was on television, it was watching the episodes on RUclips that really made me a fan. Something tells me Robotboy is more suited as a web series than as a television show. But then why is it so high on my list? Well, two reasons. First of all, I love the animation style. I think this is the show where I got my style for my own animation work. I really like square haeds and styles that make kids look cute. And that provokes my second reason; Tommy Turnbull. Tommy is my favorite character on this show. Not only does he look cute, but he has plenty of compassion for Robotboy. I had to pause multiple times while watching the show so I could see his cute face. As for the action, while I am more interested in Tommy's cuteness, I cannot deny that Robotboy's transformation powers are interesting. And anyone who brings up comparisons to Astro Boy or My Life as a Teenage Robot, well, Teenage Robot is on my list of favorite series too, and Astro Boy joins Pokemon and Beyblade on my list of favorite anime shows. I guess I just love the concept of a robot who wants to be a real person. Sure, I could complain about Gus being selfish, or how there is more gas humor than I could care for, but I have come to get used to those problems quickly. I would gladly watch Robotboy multiple times, and that gives the show a high spot n my favorite television list.
What joins Robotboy in my top five favorites, you ask? Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Chowder, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, and another European cartoon: The Amazing World of Gumball.
Self-aware badass battle robot built by japanese scientist does cute and badass things while trying to be like a real human. What's not to love about this show. It was a breath of fresh air in comparison to other shows back in 2005. VERY underrated and definitely worth watching. Glad I grew up with this. Loved this show.
Dude, me and my sister were just talking about robotboy a while ago. It suddenly went under the dust including other shows like foster home, code lyoko and etc. Didn’t expect this video at all on my recommendations.
Also, thank you for bringing up the production details regarding the differences between seasons/series, I've never liked how many people lump the two seasons together as the same entity, when really, they aren't, as they have quite different standards and styles. Charlie Bean RB strived for a good blend of action and comedy, slick animation sequences and higher stakes, while Bob Camp and Heath Kenny RB strived for comedy over action, simpler, slower-paced animation and reletively lower stakes to have more focus on comedy. While they still did action-oriented episodes, like the Protoboy ones, which are notable for focusing more on drama than the majority of the series, they usually didn't hit the same level of action as the first series. According to Jan Van, Bob wasn't interested in action and preferred doing comedy.
This is a better review than Mr. Enter's review of Robot Boy. You had the most informative video of Robot Boy on RUclips. Thank you for this wonderful video.
I did remember about Robotboy, It used to be one of my favourite series along with Ben 10, but boi oh boi did I forgot how freaking cool SuperActivated mode looked, thanks Jordan, you just brought back a childish smile to my face!
Loved robot boy and teenaged robot but robot boy left my mind after middle school and teenaged teenaged robot after high school. Love how this channel sparks memories of watching cartoons with my dad.
Yes! The Life and Times of Juniper Lee! I've been wanting to rewatch that for so long, just cause you mentioned it, I'm actually going to binge watch it after this
Damn this is nostalgic. I loved this show and I remember jumping from exitment everytime an episode would start. At the time, that was right up there with Ben ten and star wars the clone wars as my favourite shows.
Wasn't it the French version that gave Robotboy's super activated form a voice? I know that something like that existed. I loved Robotboy. It was one of my favorites. CN wasn't wrong when they assumed that the show had potential. It really did. It's the behind the scenes drama that ended it too early.
Honestly it made me watch so even if it was inspired by other shows similar, it was to me different and made in a way where i would continue to watch and laugh! It brought back good memories of the weekends where i was able to watch cartoons as my father had "the big channel pack" just for me to watch non stop every other weekend :)
I remember when I was a wee lad and watching RobotBoy before going to school. Having the CD-Rom game back in the day (Which I thought was a movie XD) Show has some fun moments, character moments, some cool villains. Like Protoboy or Bjor Bjorson, they were my favorite villains, well aside Kamikaze and Constantine. Gus...good lord, I'll say less.
Gus was simply the worst. Evil and always getting away with treating his friends and strangers like garbage and not facing the consequences of his actions.
My mind was too young to understand what happens to Robotboy. I always wonder why it doesn't aired on TV anymore. I was 3 at the time. I am now 20. I would love to watch it again for old time sake😊
This show was insomnia TV for me. Given that CN UK basically had to fill a European quota of their shows being somewhat European in a portion of which met criteria (Robotboy, Chop Socky Chooks, Skatoony, The Cramp Twins, etc.), CN basically just dumped these during the late hours given that their runs were finished and done. This practice did sorta continue into the late 2010's before they finally just started repeating what was broadcast during the day, nowadays they just repeat Gumball ad nauseum late nights.
man, Robotboy was my childhood. i knew about it before i knew of any other robot-related shows. i can't help but smile remembering it, and i think i'm probably going to rewatch some episodes.
Anyone remember Chaotic on 4Kids? I watched this so much as a kid and feel like it was super slept on with all the TCG shows that were going around. Even rewatching it now I still think it holds up, would be awesome to review it :)
The artstyle of this show I realized influenced my style a lot- I remember not seeing the show when it aired- but discovering it on YT when I was still a bit young after it ended. This and My Life As A Teenage Robot are still two of my go-two childhood comfort cartoons.
This was my favorite cartoon I remember staying up until this show starts at 9pm when I was in the UK where my Father was getting his doctorate degree in 2006
Dude, your channel keeps hitting me with all the nostalgia. Bless you. Personally, what hyped me up as a kid with Robotboy was whenever he turned into his battle form.
Fun Facts, my dads nephey made& Drew this show. I asked my grandma to please please beg him for a drawing/signature. I got it like 2 years later and he wrote my name wrong lmao, the drawings still in my room. It's him at 9:40
even though i never got to see it often i still really loved this show. every few months i'll think back on it fondly. personally i think it was really underrated and never truly got the recognition it deserved
I may not clearly remember the premise of this show. But I used to watch it regularly back when I was like 5 or 6. And I recall that I used to draw Robotboy among others often back then. Because aside from it being relatively easy to draw, it's 'coz the character design is just adorable. This video really brought back lot of memories. Simpler times indeed.
Loved robots as a kid. All sorts of them. Even took stem classes in high school and was on a robotics team. Though my passion for medicine outweighed my passion for engineering. I was like 7 or 8 when this aired and every episode made me hope I could grow up to be a robot boy lol.
sad to end pre-maturely, if only made something conclusion episode instead of Mother Day special episode as finale. If the show ever get revive, I hope to see Robotgirl side of story as continuation: for them or went out to another landscape.
You spent 17 mins and 48 secs talking about a good show robot boy without mentioning or showing a clip of the main characters mom. I'm not sure if I'm disappointed or impressed
I remember seeing a few episodes of Robotboy growing up, I often got it mixed up with Nickelodeon's My Life as a Teenage Robot, which I don't blame myself for doing so, still glad to hear it still holds up. Hopefully a revival of sorts could happen, things have been weirder these days.
I used to love Constantine as a kid, kind of my pseudo favourite character because he was an evil sidekick with a good heart. Loyal but compassionate. Constantine needed more love from the show than he got
Omg Tommy is just like I remember hearing him. Dang, I miss all these smaller CN shows. They really could've at least had DVDs for us. The games were fun though.
Thanks so much for watching, how do you feel about Robotboy? Let me know!

Robotboy's Super Activation is still one of my favorite fighting robot transformations to this day. The battle mode is like a miniature Megas.
You just unlocked my memory of this show, Jordan. I remember this show airing on Cartoon Network growing up.
Dude, me and my sister were just talking about robotboy a while ago. It suddenly went under the dust including other shows like foster home, code lyoko and etc. Didn’t expect this video at all on my recommendations.
Fun Fact: there were only a few Robotboy figures made in the world, and I own one of them :D
I cover those figures briefly in the video, that is really cool, I'm jealous!
Fun fact I have one (^_^)
Best playground flex 👍
Can I have it?
@@imparanoiiid no,it’s my most prized possession
I enjoy rewatching robotboy. Just one of the few shows that symbolize my childhood and probably where am now.
I loved robot boy. Soo underrated in my opinion. 😭
I never saw many episodes back in the day but I have fond memories of this show and My Life As A Teenage Robot. Wish we had got more of both shows.
My childhood was on cartoon network during the 2000s. Incredible shows.
Robot boy def took aspects from popular robots in media, Mega Man, Jenny, Astro Boy, etc.
This show (like a lot of animated shows) deserved more than what it got
may robotboy rest in piece as it hangs on a thread in the big world of tv network. Robotboy was one of those shows who could make us cry
This is a better review than Mr. Enter's review of Robot Boy. You had the most informative video of Robot Boy on RUclips. Thank you for this wonderful video.
Yeah, that guy barely even talked about much of the show and had incorrect info.
Mr Enter just treated it like shit
Mr Enter is an idiot
I did remember about Robotboy, It used to be one of my favourite series along with Ben 10, but boi oh boi did I forgot how freaking cool SuperActivated mode looked, thanks Jordan, you just brought back a childish smile to my face!
Loved robot boy and teenaged robot but robot boy left my mind after middle school and teenaged teenaged robot after high school. Love how this channel sparks memories of watching cartoons with my dad.
“How thicc should we make the mom?”
“Yes”
Two things that I remember vividly from this show. That kickass super activation theme...and Tommy's mom.
You know why.
I watched this so much as a kid I still rewatch the show
Wasn't it the French version that gave Robotboy's super activated form a voice? I know that something like that existed.
I loved Robotboy. It was one of my favorites. CN wasn't wrong when they assumed that the show had potential. It really did. It's the behind the scenes drama that ended it too early.
I watched the french version. From what I can remember, the best he could do was grunting...
@@chrispambo1539 I just saw a clip. He does speak in the French dub.
This channel reminds me that I've watched a lot of cartoons more than I remember
Having the CD-Rom game back in the day (Which I thought was a movie XD)
Show has some fun moments, character moments, some cool villains.
Gus the type of MF who pretends to have Down syndrome for the paralympics
My mind was too young to understand what happens to Robotboy. I always wonder why it doesn't aired on TV anymore. I was 3 at the time. I am now 20. I would love to watch it again for old time sake😊
I loved Robotboy as a kid, hell i used to binge watch that show all time when i was a teenager!
You should absolutely do a "WAIT... Remember Dragon Booster?"
Omg i remember staying up late to watch those shows as a kid
man, Robotboy was my childhood. i knew about it before i knew of any other robot-related shows. i can't help but smile remembering it, and i think i'm probably going to rewatch some episodes.
Anyone remember Chaotic on 4Kids? I watched this so much as a kid and feel like it was super slept on with all the TCG shows that were going around. Even rewatching it now I still think it holds up, would be awesome to review it :)
I remember that show existing. I remember having watched a few episodes when it came on. But I can't for the life of me remember what it was about.
I remember this show fondly. I remember the bumpers and love the one where he dresses up as Bubbles
Robotboy was my childhood,It was on Cartoon Network in the UK where I’m from until 2016
i'm from france , and this was one of my favorite cartoon , clearly top 5 ! i wish some modder make a robotboy mod for megaman in smash
The artstyle of this show I realized influenced my style a lot-
I remember not seeing the show when it aired- but discovering it on YT when I was still a bit young after it ended.
This and My Life As A Teenage Robot are still two of my go-two childhood comfort cartoons.
I remember also finding it on RUclips (I still watch it as a 14 year old)
This was my favorite cartoon I remember staying up until this show starts at 9pm when I was in the UK where my Father was getting his doctorate degree in 2006
Dude, your channel keeps hitting me with all the nostalgia. Bless you. Personally, what hyped me up as a kid with Robotboy was whenever he turned into his battle form.
Oh the Nostalgia,I remember watching this.
Fun Facts, my dads nephey made& Drew this show. I asked my grandma to please please beg him for a drawing/signature. I got it like 2 years later and he wrote my name wrong lmao, the drawings still in my room. It's him at 9:40
See I don't understand why Johnny test had a revival yet robotboy didn't get another series. It seemed that this show was more interesting to me.
even though i never got to see it often i still really loved this show. every few months i'll think back on it fondly. personally i think it was really underrated and never truly got the recognition it deserved
Ah nice! One of my favorite shows I enjoyed watching back when it was on Cartoon Network back then. Thanks for covering info on this show.
I remember Robot Boy. Keep up the great content Jordan.
I appreciate the support, thanks so much!
@@JordanFringe94 You're welcome!
Omg all cartoons from my childhood... So much nostalgia and sadness because they ended
Loved robots as a kid. All sorts of them. Even took stem classes in high school and was on a robotics team. Though my passion for medicine outweighed my passion for engineering. I was like 7 or 8 when this aired and every episode made me hope I could grow up to be a robot boy lol.
You needed to combine them ! Medbots !
@@Gatorade69 They need to create Baymax!
sad to end pre-maturely, if only made something conclusion episode instead of Mother Day special episode as finale.
If the show ever get revive, I hope to see Robotgirl side of story as continuation: for them or went out to another landscape.
I'm so glad their's a more positive review of this show. A ton of youtubers are way harsher on it.
@@starfighterz7112 ReviewYaLife is the only other relatively known user who did a good review of this show.
I was thinking about this yesterday, this video appears today and at that moment I knew, I wasn’t the only one who remembered this…
Robotboy was my absolute favorite show. When he went into his super mode I would always lose my mind! 😂😅 I loved the theme!
damn this guy unlocked some deep memories I would never remember alone 😂
You spent 17 mins and 48 secs talking about a good show robot boy without mentioning or showing a clip of the main characters mom. I'm not sure if I'm disappointed or impressed
Why not both lol
Bro i get very hyped when robot boy becomes his superactivated mode
I remember seeing a few episodes of Robotboy growing up, I often got it mixed up with Nickelodeon's My Life as a Teenage Robot, which I don't blame myself for doing so, still glad to hear it still holds up. Hopefully a revival of sorts could happen, things have been weirder these days.
Saturday mornings with a S’mores Poptart and my parents in the living room watching this show was truly golden😭❤️
I used to love Constantine as a kid, kind of my pseudo favourite character because he was an evil sidekick with a good heart. Loyal but compassionate. Constantine needed more love from the show than he got
Damn this show still gives me goosebumps and nostalgia.
Espacially when robot boy transforms
Robotboy: Cartoon Networks answer to My Life As A Teenage Robot
Brooooooooooooo I was searching for this cartoon my whole life finally 😭😭 I use to love this ao much
This channel is the constant nostalgia trip I never knew I needed
"Dad I'm being bullied"
"Wait, that gives me an idea."
Omg Tommy is just like I remember hearing him. Dang, I miss all these smaller CN shows. They really could've at least had DVDs for us. The games were fun though.
This was one of my favourite shows as a kid, it's awesome to see more people giving it recognition :D
I was 5 years old when that came out still remembers it like it was yesterday 😭 good times 😔
