This was great! Finally a true video of the weekend player…all these other videos with perfect repetitive muscle memory swings are totally ridiculous…this is me and my buddies, a triple here and there, a double occasionally, a par and a rare birdie, every once in a while. My buddies and I have been playing for 40+ years. It never get any better….. It just gets to be more fun the older you get…
@rocketmanstudio thanks man, that's the aim to be relateable. Obviously if I can make improvements along the way I will but main goal is enjoyment! Them rare birdies are what dreams are made of!

@PNW_Sportbike_Life haha brother just cos I'm not good doesn't mean I don't practice 🤣 I try and play golf twice a month and hit the range once a month.
But all the ranges near me aren't grass, so hitting balls on the course is the only way I get true feel on my swings.
@@FightingForePar I agree bud… in all my years of playing golf. I was a member of four private courses got it down to a three because I practiced all the time… but I had more fun shooting 90s then I did shooting mid 70s or low 80s.. golf is not how long you’ve been playing. It’s how often you play, to get your handicap down. I agree with you..now I play once every 3 months and I’m super happy shooting a 90…than playing three times a week and practicing four times…it’s all in the angles your looking through…
@rocketmanstudio see I've not become a member of anywhere yet, it's definitely something I'm looking to do in the future but me and my mates are enjoying going to various courses within about 2 hours of us and just enjoying new sights.
Think that's partly why my scores aren't improving as quickly as I'd like because im barely ever doing the same course twice in a row. Just out there for a laugh most of the time with my mates but when I play what would be one of the more 'regular' courses we play, then I try to shoot as low as I can.
Means there isn't stress on every round and can for the most part just enjoy with the boys.
The third & forth shots were just too funny & too relatable 😂

@Adrian-qr9mu the driver was a bubble shaft, but I wasn't using the irons, my friend has them though and I'd be interested on giving them a round out to see the difference
Looks like that sand trap hadn't been raked since the day it was installed, pretty funny. It's just like my regular course.

The drop seems generous. Out in the fairway 5 meters from the hazard?
Not really, I had seen the ball land in this fairway(which isn't my fairway) and it only just rolled into the deep rough on my right. I have gone within a club length from where I saw it enter the deep rough, and this is still in the rough, albeit the first cut. I will give you though that the fairway and first cut at the time I played were quite similar In length
It was so funny when you said that was 2 really shit holes to start. Even as a 2 handicap it's extremely relatable 🤣

You are not alone...there are millions of us that play like that...some days are worse than others (I had written 'better', but it never gets much better)...I go play shortly, my excuse today is easy, it is way too hot out there...
I'm glad I'm not alone 😂 I have hit a couple of more respectable scored for someone my standard recently, but you're right at the minute the excuse is the heat 😅
Well the grass on that course looks pretty gnarly
The rough was very gnarly but the greens for the most part are very decent
Set up and back swing looks pretty good, he just comes up and out of everything. Slight fix and he'd be breaking 90 no problem

I thought the exact same thing, especially the tee shot, looks like someone accidentally placed the markers in the rough
Yeah the tee box was a little fluffy at the time normally a bit thinner though
driveable par 4s are the best, hate to see it but keep it up mate!

@Fellowrser man I've never heard of that before and love that! I realised watching it back my feet were off too the right bur at the time just didn't notice it. It's something I've been working on more recently still inconsistent bit getting there 👌

It’s all in the short game sir, if you want to go low. Skip a nine or two and devote that time with good teaching on your short game and you’ll get there quicker than you think. Good luck.👍

@@FightingForePar my pleasure. Try working on one particular shot. Like a bump and run. Just practice that shot and that shot only. Don’t skip around from one thing to another. Eventually you’ll master that bump and run. Then you can go master the flop!

Had I not seen the ball bounce twice in the fairway on the right I would have dropped from the tee, but as I'd seen it down and it had only trickled into the rough I assumed it wouldn't even be close to lost.
By the time I had looked, there were people walking onto the tee box, so I didn't want to hold them up, just wanted to keep up pace at that point 😂

Driveable? I don’t think it can be labeled driveable if you were in front of the green on your third shot and didn’t even get on the green in 4 shots 😂 driveable usually means you’re almost always on in 2 unless you hit into a hazard of the tee or somehow got stymeed behind a tree or something and couldn’t get at the green
@braydenboyko8525 if that's the case then fair play but I thought drivable meant if you get a good connection with your driver you can get there in one shot? Which this hole is, from yellows it's 260 which I can drive although not as consistently as I'd like to but just because I played it bad didn't make it not drivable in my book just meant I had a bad day?
@@FightingForePar I know what you meant but you had like 80 or more yards into it … it’s like topping it off the tee and then hitting a full shot in … I thought you meant you hit a fine tee shot and then screwed up the hole around the green but you started off behind the 8 ball

Thanks for the tip man, I'm normally not quite so horrible getting out of bunkers but I imagine that is mainly blind luck as I've not really practiced it 🤣 ill definitely try this next time though
A realistic golf vid at least. Not that you probably want it...your alignment on the tee is iffy. You pretty much hit it where you were aiming.
