No, the luxury side is not the future in this economy, at least for the average American, $75k luxury depends on the size and amenities, investors may be able to afford it but the emphasis should be on affordable housing for average Americans. A $250k tiny house, great for investors but way out of reach for average Americans
Right! Why bother at such a high price point. I’m 64 - I’m considering where I can live after retiring. I already own an 1100 sq ft townhouse; I would not pay more for less. Capitalism ruins another 😅sea to help the masses live better/ cheaper/ freer. There would need to be price tiers to make it worthwhile; but quite frankly, retirement outside the USA appears the better plan!
Hi! Thanks for watching. I do see people leaving the U.S. I won't be surprised if we see a lot more people leaving over time. It is getting too expensive to do much of anything. I hope the tiny house industry can shift back to affordability but only time will tell.
Hi! Thanks for watching and commenting. I see your point on the affordability side of things. I think once something becomes popular there's going to be a luxury side to it.
Investors in tiny homes have the same potential if having a negative effect on the affordability of owning or renting a home which led many of us to look at tiny homes. My thought "OH no, not again!"
I can’t even watch the rest of this ridiculousness!!! Take your exclusives and put em where the sun don’t shine! Seriously😳you’ve GOT to be kidding right??? Pass on these. Beyond tired and now, I think I’m giving up on a tiny home after all! I’ll either find someone else to build competent in all knowledge of BUILDING! Having been in and around construction companies, I KNOW too much! I DID check one guy here in my city locally, but he had an incompetent air couldn’t answer properly to a basic question pertaining to electrics and plumbing! I told him as much so in a nice way and I got cussed out!!! Lmao I put a dent in his business, he’ll have no choice but to comply or end his scamming attitude!!! Yeah, I’ll hang awhile to get anymore info, as I appreciate what your sharing, for now. Blessings🙏🏻🧐❤️
Hey! Thanks for watching. I 100% see your point about having things be too exclusive. I am a bit surprised the industry has changed so much but I think it's important to talk about it because it definitely impacts the options people have. What type of tiny house are you looking for? What's your ideal situation tiny living wise?
I wonder if the mirror houses are mass killers of our feather friends??? An average Joe will not be paying $500 a night for an airbnb. That will be just a fad. Isn't that why David Latimer/New Frontier in Nashville stopped building his modern/elite Tiny Houses, I think he worked a deal where another company builds his designs.
Hey! Thanks for watching and commenting. That is a solid point, I did not think about the birds! I have no idea about New Frontier. I think rich people will pay it but it's a matter of finding the right ones I guess?

They are ruining the whole reason tiny houses are created. Saving the expense of owning a house. Making our footprint smaller .
Hey! Thanks for watching. I see your point it is a far cry from the original basis of the movement.

Hey! Yes, 100%. I think the increased appeal from the investor side is definitely contributing to the price increases overall.

It's a No for me
