High level coaching right there baby. Love it. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my line of work (have worked with countless of the highest level coaches) it’s that the most effective coaches are not in it to make themselves look good. They’re there to get the most out of their athletes. Period.
People are different types of learners. If it helps her visualize how to properly do it, then just show her. An example of the proper technique isn’t going to take away from her learning
WRONG. LOW level coaching. Any good coach or teacher knows -- you build your student up from the INSIDE first. THAT's how you make an athlete. Otherwise you are just self serving.
Its been weeks now. I have been trying to get rid of the arm pull and i just can't. I have never done a single upright row in my life. Bending my elbows just seem to be instinct. The ronnie coleman tricep flex cue helps alot but i still occasionally arm pull
Can you show me? -NO! I'm not going to. We need more coaches like this, who understand the importance of the learning process of these lifts, which is not about aesthetics
The hitting her thing totally unacceptable. You don't need to hit someone to teach them. I would never go back to someone if they did that, no matter how good they were at everything else.
@Some Aussie Guy from Perth And you honestly believe that in coaching strength training clients empathy doesn't matter? If yes, I'd definitely recommend you to think and research about how a human learns sustainably.
@Some Aussie Guy from Perth Well, then we probably have different standards and ideas when it comes to how a coach should be. Anyway, hope you have a good start of the week.
It’s not too impress the public, they do it in private too. Don’t hire an SSC bc they’ll probably make you cry and then stop coaching you for being too much of a pussy. At least this girl stick with it.
That last comment want me to hit you again... yeah ive been a martial arts instructor in mma and such pretty heavy contact sports and this isnt the way to talk... slapping the triceps do it more mild. The saying you want to hit you again just yeah big nope from me. And when she asks you to show her maybe she could have gotten it quicker by you showing her maybe 2 or 3 times would taken you literally 30 secs then resumed insctructing her. Other than that the instructions seams concete and good and to the point. But dude seriously lighten up screaming etc haha yeah playing tough around the girls ive seen it before.
The amount of fedora-tipping white-knight "nice guys" in the comments freaking out over this coach's style need to have a reality check. Both the student and coach both have social skills. The dwellers in chat do not.
Biologist, certified trainer, and fitness enthusiast. Rushed instruction, no actual demonstration (which in my opinion is the most valuable tool to instruct a client on execution of a technical lift), and questionable attempts at "hands on" instruction. That would be 3 strikes and he's out, but maybe if the session was free...
i don't think it's funny that she said Ow. except for that your coaching technique seems great. you can totally ignore me of course but you are kind of gruff. the gym isn't the military. calm down.
@@Siosifa smack a cop, transit worker, hospital staff, etc. like that and you'd be charged for a damn good reason so why is it acceptable when people pay a lot of money for coaching?
@@InvisibleHotdog Because randomly smacking a cop isn't the same as smacking someone's triceps to quickly get a point across... you get what you paid for. Context seems to mean nothing to you.
this was good coaching. i learned so much because he didn't focus on minor details too much, and kept her focused on the main points.
“Can you show me ?”
“No !”
A real SSC answer !

You should add cleans to your training program on more days

Best teaching of the power clean I saw online.

Power clean on my face please
Great yelling "straight arms!!!!!"
Bad form to be smacking her that hard. The point could have been illustrated with 10% of that.
"Coach, can you show me?" "NO". Also inb4 they already told her or the policy procedures are to continue regardless of what is asked.

Guess the annual SSC meeting needs a workshop on "battering your clients and yelling like a moron to impress the public audience, ie. do neither"

This is terrible. I would probably delete this video.
Post your own video and then delete it. They really don’t give a shit what you would probably do.

Maybe that's why he's good, because he's rough. She's way more focused this way. Not everyone has the same style of work, there's no problem here.
@@Siosifa Nah, this was uncomfortable to watch. If I were a newbie I wouldn't come back. This is exactly why ppl are intimidated to go to the gym.
