I have a Winchester Model 1200 shotgun which I purchased in 2019. Mine's in sixteen gauge, 28" modified choke barrel. I bought it because it is exactly like the Model 1200 my Dad had and was the very first shotgun I ever fired. My Dad and I spent many a pleasant day afield hunting together and I just had to have a shotgun like the one he had. I believe he bought his brand new in 1965 and he took game from small game up through deer with his. His was the first generation Model 1200 with the early pressed checkering pattern on the forearm and stock and jeweled bolt. I see you have one of those hi-visibility slip on front sights on it..I put one of those on a 20 gauge shotgun that had a very small front bead that was hard to see. The slip-on front bead was a very inexpensive and effective fix for that. The Winchester Model 1200 is a fine shotgun and I'm pleased to have one in my collection and brings back memories of hunting with my Dad.

Good afternoon sir. I bought a Winchester 1300 Defender, with 18” bbl and 7-shot tube in 1985-86 for the princely sum of $99 on sale at the local sporting goods store. I installed the same orange front bead you have on it. I still have it, in nearly new condition. She’s a keeper.
Last year I found a Sears Ted Williams 12 gauge pump at a gun show. It’s a dressed up model 1200 with vent rib and C-lect choke. Scored it for $175. Looks like someone bought it, shot it a few times, and put it in the bedroom closet for 40 years! I really love the 1200/1300. Thx for the video✌🏻

I've had several 1200's over the years as well as a 1400..
They're great guns, but they're just another shotgunlike the Mossbergs ,Remingtons and Savages out there .
1200's, 1300's & 1400's were all criticized for having Aluminum relievers and stamped metal parts inside. They're trigger groups are prone to failure.
I was told that my 1400 wouldn't last 10 years, that was back in 1973, its still in use.
