It makes me so happy to know that I am not the only one sick of Lois being the only thing on the face of the Earth that stops Superman from turning evil. It makes him look unhinged.

This movie seems to ask an interesting question: What if Mark Millar's Civil War had worse writing?

Great video. If you really want a great, superman-inspired story, I would highly suggest the webcomic Strong Female Protagonist. The main character is a former paragon superhero with superman-like strength and invulnerability who quite being a hero to go to college because she realized that punching supervillains wasn’t doing much to fix the real issues of the world. You can’t punch away war, poverty, disease, bigotry or any of the other major world issues. The story really grabbles with themes like how to you make the world better and what does it mean to be a hero. One of my favorite scenes in the comic is the main character having a conversation with her philosophy teacher. It’s one of my favorite stories and I would recommend the story to anyone who is a fan of superman.

Most people I know who don’t like Superman always say because he’s too powerful but all the bad Superman stories only focus on his powers and not his character

Have a question but do you take requests on what movie to review?

I take more direct requests through Patreon but I'll watch recommendations and may do videos on them if I find it interesting.

Yeah maybe he should be called the Simp because he couldn’t let go and move on from Lois.

Not really simping. He lost his pregnant wife. That's enough to make anyone act irrational. The problem is that this loss gets tiresome for being the reason Superman goes off the deep end. It makes Lois more of a prop than a person, especially within Injustice.

@@srstriker6420 True but Superman’s bigger issue is that he's not able to save everyone, relating to Johnathan Kent's death. The death of Lois occurred because of Superman’s selfless act to stop one of the missiles first as he promised for his release. Superman is angered at being able to not stop this death and defies the will of Jor-El (as well as time and physics) to turn back the clock and save everyone. That movie is more compelling because Superman’s loss is used to break his code of interference, making the most of his powers to do good. It's far more interesting than Superman just killing Luthor in retaliation.

@@MoviesWithMark or he should just learn to accept it because it doesn’t seem fair for other heroes who have to lose everything while he doesn’t?

Gods and Monsters has Anti-Hero Superman. Not Villain Superman.
It's also the best thing on that list so point taken.

Who becomes a hero, no less. I like how him learning that his father was a monster actually made him reflect and decide to be a total good guy.
