You are the best photoshop youtuber in my mind
I know why Exposure Adjustment Level wasn't working on the guy fishing but it was working on the boat. The guy was too dark. (Was he in a black silhouette?) The Exposure Adjustment Level seems to work only objects that have pixels higher than #000000 hex code, maybe even higher. That's why I tend to prefer Levels or Curves. You're workaround was still cool, though. I just thought I'd share this with you in case this comes up again.

I am working on small series - I am making that kind od 2D paintings in every color of the rainbow. I have already blue, orange, pink (I know that is not a rainbow color but I want to do smooth transition between them :D ). And at the end I will print them. I really enjoing the process of creating such graphics ^^

Thanx for tutorial! Your work is very great. Btw I have some problems with lighthouse selection at 10:00 moment. I definitely don't know why but the scale of selected place is much bigger than scale of the lighthouse and I can't change width separately from heigh (even if I off the "chain symbol" on a dashboard). Maybe someone knows how to fix it?

I tried to follow along and draw this landscape with you more or less successfully. :)
When you select the lighthouse to add some highlights at 23'00 or when you do it with the trees at 26'26 you press Ctrl than hold ctlr and shift together to add the other layers... this does not work for me at all. When I press Ctrl and click only the layer then is selected but the trees are not loaded into selection. Do you have any idea why is that?

Click, then hold shift and click on the other piont while holding a shift.

I am using Ps CS4 and can't clip a group to layer.... when I press alt clipping option only appears for layers and not for a layer and group....help
You need either to use a layer masks instead,to limit where are you painting or even better, to use a newer version of Photoshop.

Make sure that the auto select option is not checked in the top left corner when you are using a move tool.

That is a cool idea. Will consider it.
When I add the second gradient to the same mask it just deletes the previous one.
Probably because you have a full opacity color at both ends. Reduce the opacity on one of the ends so that it's transparent. Then you'll get the desired effect
