Loving the black undergarments. The whole outfit turned out amazingly well. And it's a shame when pattern company owners live up to their company name with their values :/
Thank you so much, and also yes, that's a great way to put it about the pattern company. I'm gonna try and look for similar patterns to what I used from different companies so I can at least be helpful in that sense but I just didn't have time to before releasing the video
'The Bride of Frankenstein's' dress from the Boris Karloff Movie! Yes, it's somewhat simple but you could capture that Hollywoid Movies Era & That Wig!!
I don't CosPlay, but I do enjoy the creativeness. Would you consider a 'ghostly' version of the Red dress worn by Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone with the Wind"? I think her character would make a great unhappy ghost.
Awesome project! Time crunches makes everything more difficult, but the tip I saw to mock up a back closing bodice by yourself, was to basically do it twice. Once to get general fit, using an additional front closure to get it on. And then the actual bodice mockup to iron out anything that changes after removing the front closure. My guess with the ruffling of the lower back of the bodice is that it is just not wide enough to cover the skirt at the length it is intented. So it gets pushed up to a point where it is wide enough.
Oh those are great tips thank you! I thought, if I remake the bodice like I'm hoping to, that I could do something similar where I do a mockup with a closure in the front, but doing a 2nd with the adjustments makes so much sense!
I love this on so many levels and holy moly the amount of pleats... 😍😍😍 love love love! I'm doing Alice from Madness returns, much less pleats, but I am trying my hand at prop building for the first time!
Every time you posted a short of this build I was hoping it was the final thing! Looks so good and the hour+ video was great viewing to sew to while I finish my Halloween/Ren Faire costume (the Scroop Augusta Stays in a world map print silk satin as part of a steam punky pirate look)
I just came across your channel! Love your channel! Love you! Love everything about you and have been binge watching your videos Thank you for creating them. I know it's a great deal of work!
It is beautiful for your dress fitting try a bootstrap dress form it will help. You download the pattern and make it yourself. They take your measurements and do a personal fit. I love mine
Way to go, my friend! But I have not started making my handmade projects yet. Because my grandfather from my dad's side of the family has passed away on June 20th in the summer about six days before his 81st birthday. I will have some time to make myself a Christmas ball gown if I have time. I still like the video you made by making the 1991 Holiday Barbie dress and I adore that video, too. I've watched the video over and over again all the time.
I have been waiting for this since you first started posting it on social media!!! An hour long video, don’t mind if I do. Expect a few edits on this comment as I watch the video, lol.
@@CaseyReneeCosplay it was definitely worth watching the whole thing. You did an amazing job!! I love how you always put so much attention to detail into your projects. (Also, for future reference, liquid bandage is great for injuries in areas where band aids don’t stay on.)
Hey boo hey. Wow! You did a great job with this costume. Your wrap up comments were right on point. Great job. Now I am a new subscriber. Love you. Stay witchy.💋💋
your hair is so cute! maybe you could make something witchy for next year! i loved seeing the corset kit! i've never seen that method of flat-lining but it seems easier than cutting them in the size straight away. i haven't finished watching this yet but i'm enjoying it so far :)
Hi Casey, beautiful work as always and sorry for the late reply. It's been a busy day and I wanted to suggest you doing a Nightsister from Ahsoka. Each look is so unique and I think it would compliment you perfectly.
Been wanting to watch that movie again... That gown and the green one she wears when she meets Dracula on the street are the best. Not sure how you didn't have enough resource images lol You could have had the movie going and paused...
With pausing movies there are TONS of reasons why you still wouldn't be able to get images from pausing the film. Lighting, set blocking parts, color grading, props and other people blocking the costume, etc.
Watching all the pieces come together is really satisfying and the red color is so nice 🖤 I was wondering what mic you use when filming? I didn’t see it in your Amazon link and was curious as I don’t know what mobile mic to get lol
Oh wow, It's glorious Casey. I'm sure I read somewhere that this particular gown is called the 'Dragon Gown', which would make the 'petals' dragon scales??? 🤷 Either way it's #ChefsKiss #Bellissima 😍
@@CaseyReneeCosplay I kinda thought so lol. You must feel incredible wearing this? I must admit that Minas green and white day dress is my favourite. From the Scene where Dracula telepathically whispers to Mina from across the streets of London "See me. See me now!".
If time travel were ever in invented and we end up coming face to face with those from the Victorian Era will they have the right to accuse us of appropriation? Interesting thought experiment

A "Crimson Peak" Halloween look would be great for next Halloween :)
I have a few Crimson Peak costumes on my to make list 😊 so I'm gonna think on this and figure out which one I want to make the most
@@CaseyReneeCosplay ooooooo well whatever you decide on will be great to watch~
Beautiful make! Now I’m curious about the unnamed pattern company boycott 🤔

Ooooo that could be a fun one
Would love to see you make the Mortisha dress from the first Adam's family movie at the Adam's Ball. It had so much sparkle & detail, it was gorgeous.
I did make Morticias dress back in February 😊
@@CaseyReneeCosplay I'll have to look for the video. I just thought that dress was the most ornate & detailed. Thanks.
EEEEEE the new hair, I know i allready shouted about it but it looks SO GOOD GIRL
Thank you so much love! I'm so happy with it 😊

What about making Lucy's Snake dress? If you wanted a set of dresses from the movie of course and you haven't already made it.
I have not made that one yet, I do love that gown so I'll add it to my list and while I am planning for next year I'll consider it
Awesome project!

Thank you! Madness Returns has such good costume designs!
@@CaseyReneeCosplay It really does! Eventually, I want to do more. Especially the mermaid one, because who doesn't want a costume that glows? haha

Yay! I'm so glad my video kept you company while you were sewing! Those stays sound absolutely beautiful!
For Halloween 2024 I suggest the gown of the Bride of Frankenstein.
Oooo Bride of Frankenstein 😍
