With his rapping in this he said he was feeling terrible emotionally the day he recorded it. And said he finds it hard to repeat the same sound live. This shows he put more than just art but his heart into his music. Thought this would interest you.

He is using his voice & video imagery to show how he feels... the tone in the beginning is how he feels (like a robot; numb) but then the intense parts when he shows more of his emotions are his emotions... it’s so much more than the cussing & stuff but that adds to the subliminal

The passion in his voice!!!... That falsetto too.... First person "Conversational" voice and the emotion increases as the (second person) "listener" doesn't get it - while we "observe" without direct involvement...... Heroes/Survivors with PTSD and those rehabilitating themselves can relate.... the stress hits the same parts of the brain and the self-image....

Ronnie Radke is easily in my top 3 favorite vocalists, but it should be noted that the pitch of the chorus was raised after recording. He recorded the chorus in a lower key. Not to say it's a bad thing, actually the opposite. Not many vocalists sound as great after changing the pitch of the recorded work. Somehow, he makes it just as amazing. I made an edited version of an MP3 of the track that's lowered one step because that's the key he performs it in live. I find myself listening to both. He's too great.

Please react to his trilogy. Losing my mind, losing my life and drugs.
His songs have so much meaning aside from the way they sound. I relate so much to his music and lyrics from my life, I’m so glad there is someone with a voice to sing about it.
You’ll see his daughter in most of his recent videos. Ronnie didn’t let his daughter see this music video or much of the production because of its gore until long after the video was made. Sometimes she will appear on his Twitch stream and they will watch some of his videos together, it’s very cute to watch, and he’s very protective of her!

My best, best friend in life has always been into metal and i would like songs he played that were melodic and had good vocals and as my taste developed i started to like the screaming aspects. I noticed how on your 2nd listen when he screams super heavy it made you smile haha i know this type of music gets a lot of hate but if you give it a sincere chance it can broaden your horizons. I had the same reaction when i heard that part of the song i got a big smile, i felt chills and its just funny to me cause a few years back I would have been so put off by that. The message of this song is so beautiful. So many people think depression is just being sad but its so much more. Its lying to everyone telling them you're fine, its preying tk a God you dont even believe in for help, its giving up on your faith in God because you feel like if he was real what sort of God would allow you to feel this way constantly for no reason like its a game. There is so much going on in this song.

I must say that I completely agree with you in that I am not drawn to the violence and the profanity but I love and appreciate this song because of the story I hear when I listen to it. To me it tells the tragic story that continues to cycle through in our world today. When we continue to judge people and tell them that they are a problem, we can can create the monsters that we say they are. Once we create those monsters we just stand back and say "see we told you that you were a monster." I appreciated you telling the backstory in your review of "The Drug in Me Reimagined."

    @nancylong5997 4 года назад +1

First time here. Yes, the little girl is his daughter Willow. I noticed you didn’t get into the lyric content or meaning but I loved your music breakdowns .
To answer one of your questions, If we dive into lyrics for a minute, you will see where the graphic “horror” of the video and his little girl come in. This is about battling his depression and the inner turmoil/demons he was suffering. He sings about begging for help from a dr and a therapist and God (he sings the even though he doesn’t believe in Him) but not getting the help he needed. He had so much rage in his head, depicted in the violence in the video. But then, his little girl Willow came into his life and he was able to get himself under control, for her.
That is what I get out of it. I have watched Ronnie Radke on Twitch and RUclips, plus read interviews. I never could find all of that in one place, so I could have some of it wrong. My interpretation is pieced together.

I have no idea if this was intentional on ronnies part or not, but hearing your interpretation of the chorus made me realize it’s veeerrryyyy similar to Rise Against’s “prayer of the refugee” (which is a great song in its own right).
Strongly recommend giving that one a listen

The screams are a cross between vocal fry and false chords. It's not exactly easy to learn but it's kinda like a more extreme and enunciated version of clearing your throat? Lol but it still comes from your diaphragm. That's kinda how I taught myself when I was like 14 lol been awhile and there are much better methods now, almost 20 years later

    The sing is about depression.
This explains basically all the weird stuff.
The monotonous rapping, as that's what it's like.
You're basically on autopilot just to get through the day cuz if you let yourself feel anything for a second you'll break down. It could also be a reference to being sedated by antidepressants. Either way I think it's very much on purpose.
The gore and stuff is all symbolism, alot of these scenes are supposed to take place inside his mind, atleast that's what Ive heard and I believe it cuz it makes sense.
The girl at the end is his actual daughter who was his saving grace, pulling him back to reality and sanity and he didn't realize the destruction he caused or the people he hurt untill he "woke up" and reverted back from being a "monster".
There is also a reason for the cursing.
Have you ever lost your shit and cursed at something? I'm sure you have, now imagine being in that particular state of mind constantly, 24/7 365 days a year.
Screaming and cursing is venting those negative emotions, everyone does it, this is just on a way deeper level.
Depression is no joke and if you've never been depressed it might be hard or even impossible to understand but this language and screaming might be a bit much to you but it's necessary to a person

Great video!!! Please react to Ronnie’s friend Andy Black - his songs „We Don’t Have To Dance”, „Westwood Road”, „They Don’t Need To Understand” and „The Promise” - his voice is very specific and characteristic and rare also. He is the lead singer of the rock band Black Veil Brides and they’ve got amazing songs like the most popular „In The End” or „Wake Up”. Love your videos! :)

Please please please, do a reaction for his trilogy. He did three songs together. Losing my mind, losing my life, and drugs. In that other because they tell a story and have important messages. He utilizes all of his vocal skill, instrumental skills and the visuals are top shelf quality. I think you’ll like this trilogy a lot of not more than popular monster. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee
