Why are all vocal coaches on youtube just so positive and kind? Its amazing... they all just give a very positive vibe, and this lady is no exception. Her smile is so contagious.
Being a dickhead isn't a powerful motivator for most students to learn, especially with singing. Singing is very expressive and personal. Unlike learning an instrument, where it's like you're learning to use and manipulate a tool for music, the music comes from within you, in the most direct sense, and it's easy for criticisms to put students into a shell, and prevent them from reaching their true potential. I'm aware that there are plenty of stories and common misconceptions of people putting up with abuse in the name of honing their talent, I believe Michael Jackson is a pretty popular example of this. However, I would say that MJ succeeded in spite of it, having a talent that was too great to suppress, rather than the abuse helping him succeed. In the past with Academies and private tutors and such keeping that kind of behavior under wraps for so long, or persisting in the name of 'that's how it's always been', I hope that this trend of kindness continues outward, and overtakes the more abusive and archaic traditions that people feel are the norm. Also: I am aware that there is the concept of the 'push' to get students to reach their true potential, but you can be kind, and firm. They aren't mutually exclusive.

Most people cannot really say anything about the Axl Rose one, it's just impossible to match his voice. And yes he had too much mids on his compression and distortion (think that's what you were looking for instead of 'scream'). Kurt was not actually a screamer, as in the style of singing, just didn't really know how to sing therefore shouted out anything with some distortion behind it
TBH Anthony cheated a little bit on this, he recreated vocal impressions he'd previously done in his 20 Styles videos, assembled in slightly different form. And 90% of your critiques, while factual, are based on something he can't necessarily do anything about... _his natural vocal range._ A lyric baritone singing a tenor part is NOT going to sound exactly like an actual tenor singing the same part!
You should check out the "Journey Through Rock and Roll" video he did with his vocal trainer (Ken Tamplin) and fellow protege Gabriela Gunčíková. You'll see where he got his technique from.
Ok there are good voices , gr8 voices and unique voices . The most unique voice I ever experienced in my life is from a 70s progressive rock band called " pavlov's dog" mostly known from a song called Julia. To fully understand the potential of this voice pick any song of this band and listen it and with a vu meter on u will experience something u can't c in any other voice through time. Enjoy. For me a fan of linkin park he was good but way to nasally compared to chester. The tone range was there but the delivery was off? I think is wat im trying to say. Im no vocalist but i love this guy and his skills . He really did pick very hard people.

Ok there are good voices , gr8 voices and unique voices . The most unique voice I ever experienced in my life is from a 70s progressive rock band called " pavlov's dog" mostly known from a song called Julia. To fully understand the potential of this voice pick any song of this band and listen it and with a vu meter on u will experience something u can't c in any other voice through time. Enjoy.
