No, that's not his inner child. That is his real life daughter Willow, whos his anchor in so many situations. He is singing/rapping/screaming about his own anxiety/depression time. You can feel every line. The Monster insinde him is what people see in him, because Ronnie had a rough past, went to prison, had a severe drug addiction past and so on. Here comes the Popular part, that's because he's a public figure and people judge him without digging deeper into hi history. Therefore he's saying "Popular Monster" Greetings from Germany
I also feel like the lyrics say that that people try to get help for depression and nobody listens and say it a phase people go through, but when something bad happens (like a shooting) and that person goes off the rails everyone looks past that they tried to get help and starts using the typical excuses (like a godless house). These people (like in a shooting) get a lot of media coverage and become popular, not in a good way, thus the media basically naming them a popular monster.
They're from Las Vegas. Ronnie Radke is the lead and he's incredible. His hand is in every single part of every single song from the lyrics to the notes to the production to the videos. Next level talent and y'all won't be disappointed if y'all do a deep dive into FIR. Some of the best music you'll ever hear.
Ronnie Radke (the lead singer) says, the chorus is about the media painting him as a liar, cheater, a monster, backing him up into a corner until he snaps and shows them the monster they said he was. Please check out the trilogy by Falling in Reverse: Losing My Mind, Losing My Life and Drugs. Greetings from Germany
Oh, and recommendations on where to start: The trilogy in order----Losing My Mind, Losing My Life and then Drugs. Latest single from their upcoming album is Zombified. He also recently released updated versions of 2 of his older songs and most reactors like to do a 2-in-1 comparison reaction with the old and new in one video. Those are The Drug In Me Is You/The Drug In Me Is Reimagined and I'm Not A Vampire/I'm Not A Vampire Revamped. All of these tend to be the most popular in reaction channels and a good place to start. Subscribed to watch the journey.
Absolutely second all of this, the Trilogy is a great place to go from here, and the 2-in-1s are just really epic and super creative in a different way and honestly worth checking out purely on how great they are but i definitely second Losing My Mind next c:
Welcome to the world of Ronnie. His style of music IS Ronnie. Awesome voice, screams, growls, and raps better than most main stream rappers. If you do his reimagined songs please watch The originals first so you know the difference
Check out Machine gun Kelly or NF or Eminem as far as white rapper comparisons. He’s def not the best rapper but very talented otherwise. I’m alittle older than this reaction group so I’m comparing his rap with someone like busta rhymes that I grew up listening to and he’s just not up to that level for me. I’m not even sure the rap Gods would consider this rapping tbh. But I def love falling in reverse for other reasons. Very talented.
Your going to love this band! Ronnie is a musical genius! Definitely need to check out The Trilogy! Losing My Mind is the first..Ronnie is going to blow your mind🔥🤟#FallingInReverse
I remember hearing this song for the 1st time..Best song Ive heard in years. Theyve been on a pretty solid run since they came out with this song and Losing My Mind, Losing My Life & Drugs. The Drug In Me is ReImagined, Zombified, Carry On were also really good songs from Falling In Reverse
New sub here :). Highly recommend the trilogy: losing my mind, losing my life and drugs (and then all of there songs lol). In that order :). I enjoyed your reaction and cant wait for more FIR reactions.
Ronnie is a genius 😊. The song - dealing with depression , anxiety, and how the media can paint you as a monster and make up lies. This song has helped a lot of people who are dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts. Please listen to the trilogy losing my life, losing my mind and drugs. The drug in me is you and then The drug in me is re- imagine. I'm not a vampire and then I'm not a vampire re- vamped😍👍
Falling in reverse =🔥🔥🔥..do the trilogy..losing my mind..losing my life..and drugs in that order...popular monster...everyone says he's a monster..but he is just like everyone else dealing with real life issues 😎👍
y'all didn't listen to a damn lyric if you don't know what they mean by popular monster so all of you need to go and look up the lyrics and read them because you all just missed the mark entirely
I grew up in the 80s and 90s. This is not metal. Candy ass shit. Y'all need to listen to Slayer, Megadeth, Suicidal Tendencies, Testament. This is self-loathing grunge pop posing as metal.
The popular monster is the monster of today. Not the werewolfs and vampires like in old horror movies but being a lier, a cheater and a non believer. These are the monsters of today spreading negative energy and doing the wrong things in life.
Its a metiphore for show people basically see a certain personalities as a phase or a bad thing g where as those people are accusing ok and just want to be left alone if anything him France forming in the video is him breaking mentally wile the solders represents pressure from others to conform to the norms of others
They are from Los Vegas NV there guitarist died right after they made the trilogy. The little girl in this video is Ronnie's daughter he said she is his light that's why she didn't look scared and he was human again because she is his anchor basically and she is his reminder that he isn't a monster. May you react to falling in reverse trilogy: losing my mind, losing my life, and drugs
The new song “Popular Monster” deals with the internal struggles of dealing with stress, anxiety, and depression. his anxiety and depression got him making the song but also the stress from the world
Ronnie has had shit go on throughout his career from prison to throwing microphone stands in the crowd to just not giving 2 shits what anyone thinks and has been labeled an asshole. In actuality he's not a bad guy he's just had bad moments and he's tried shaking the bad rep but ppl keep pushing it..... that's where the popular monster comes in!
When I first heard this I was a little scared,I admit. Second listen was better for me. Third I finally got the emotional content. Powerful. And that falsetto he hits, holy crap!
You guys definitely need to react to more rock! Here are a few good bands: Black Veil Brides, Pierce the Veil, My Chemical Romance, Sleeping with Sirens, and Green Day.
The song is about depression. "I battle with depression, but the question still remains, Is this post traumatic stressin or am I suppressing rage? My doctor tries to tell me that I'm going through a phase, but I don't know if it's a phase, I just wanna feel ok...." and if you listen to that line where he first screams "...Every single day I get closer to my grave I'm terrified. I fell asleep at the wheel again. Crashed my car just to feel again". Liar, Cheater and nonbeliever. He's lying to himself that nothing is wrong when he knows there is. He's cheating himself out of enjoying life. He doesn't believe that God can save him. I encourage yall to go back and really listen to the lyrics in his songs. Even pull em up in front of you and read along. It's some incredibly powerful shit.
He is saying he is not a popular monster because he is just struggling with his inner stuff. He suffers from some PTSD from spending time in prison. He is now more than popular and is not a monster. He sings he just wants to feel OK. I love the line 'Falling in love with falling apart' - which is very understandable to me. Ronnie has so much talent and I am sure there is more to come.
I feel like someone could hand you an instruction booklet for building an Ikea table and you'd read the whole thing and go "what does this mean though? Like what do these words and images represent?" Lmao but for real what do you mean what does it mean? He feels like he is or at least is treated like he's a monster at heart and therefore isolated from society, but people put so much time and energy into hating him that he is just as popular as the guy everyone loves in spite of their efforts. But he literally says that straight up in the lyrics without even couching it in metaphors or anything so I'm not sure how what I said would change anything.
Gotta check out slaughter to prevail. Demolisher, Baba Yaga, Agony. All good dope ass music videos. Alex the lead singer is also super cool wit people reacting to his shit.
I can not say for sure but the phrase popular monster is about how someone can come into fame, fortune, and popularity, but you may know nothing about them. They have this inner demon inside all while they show everyone a smile. The more popularity they get the more they feel the need to kep their demons inside making them worse. So the popularity itself can create the monster. That is just my take.
He became the monster everyone made him out to be. When he said " I think im going nowhere like a rat trapped in maze it's. Talking about how no matter what he goes he feels stuck and keeps choosing wrong. So the term popular monster refers to the monster iv become, made by you've turned me out To be. So basically, from my POV. if I'm trying really hard to change and I'm already struggling but you keep telling my im all these negative things. Then I'm just gonna become what you all fear.
popular monster is trying to symbolize how common anxiety/depression is but how it makes you feel. the monster its self in the vid is showing how different it makes you look in your mind. the child showing almost all children don't discriminant and separate you based on things you can't control. the screaming what you wanna/need to do but feel you can't. if you didn't know
Not sure if you found any songs to review, but Watch the world burn, and zombified are really good from Falling in reverse, and if you kinda like that check out motionless in white Another life and voices they are pretty good also. Not as heavy as slipknot but good songs.
Ronnie said he was inspired to write this after seeing the JOKER a cry out for help in the end turns into the monster that everyone one made him out to be...
I wonder what that means: popular monster, he just listed out all the things he does wrong, and then reiterates “I do all the things that people don’t like” simply by saying “I’m a popular monster” Ronnie aims to be perfect, but he’s the first person to say “I’m far from perfect”
Ronnie Radke has a daughter her name is Willow that was her touching his shoulder this is a video about his issues and how he is trying his 100% best for her
I think what he means by popular monster is "what good is a big ego and fame if you are a depressed slave on the inside that can't escape the everyday stresses and is just another fkd soul in this sht life. He's popular, but a monster on the inside. This song really relates to alot of people. I got nf vibes at first but he killed the drop. Ill give it 4 out of 5 stars and im a critical critic. ✌️
So his rapping in this video is weaker than rap I typically like. But the transitions he does through different genres of music … idk I’ve never seen anyone do that as well as he does. Also his vocal talent is very obvious. Love this song and drugs with Cory.
this is an amazing song about mental health.... describing anxiety and or depressional state.... the part " i wake up in the morning with my head still in a daze i am not sure if i should say this $#@& ill say it anyway everybody tryin to tell me that I'm going through a phase i don't know if it's a phase i just wanna feel ok i battle with depression but the question still remains is this post traumatic stress or am i supressing rage and my doctor tryin to tell me I'm goin through a phase this is not a @$#&$@ phase i just wanna feel ok ". having mental health issues these are things you try from other ppl allot like more than you want to and after a while or feels like you kinda just be dismissed or not taken serious for how you are trying to tell your are feeling. .... like just give it time it will pass but that's not the case allot of the time and you get left struggling allot on your own bc of this and leaves ppl spinning their wheels and even more anxious and it stressed bc they are not handling the ungodly feeling of this horrible issue and can make you feel like you fixing to go full blown crazy or think you already are..... when you finially get the nerve to ask for help with something like this but doesn't seem like no one really wants to actually help you and be sincere about it this can make these feeling even worse and can not than likely can cause bigger problem when these hurting ppl feel like oh well they are just left on their own to figure it out.... some ppl are able to do it but there's allot that can't and I'm here to say that personally being one of those ppl struggling through one day at a time with this disease of the mind. . it's hard and horrible and for the people that live with this daily and keep pushing on are truely strong individuals they are real warriors bc the strength and energy it takes to do this is way more than the average which is a heavy weight that we always have to carry.... literally feels like the weight of the whole world at times.... so to anyone else dealing with the daily fight .... keep fighting one day at a time..... the world needs more warriors more than ever these days..... sorry this was long but i hope the person that really needed to hear this got to do just that....
Ronnie is a "Popular Monster" in the sense that people like to portray him as such: he went to prison over some stuff when he was younger, he threw a mic stand that hurt somebody at a show, and is overall a very not politically correct individual. People like to make him out to be a monster.
I think the metaphor is that as a person who is very popular to people who really don't know him but in his own mind he feels like he's nothing but a monster.
The whole point with making his music is to make it more accessible to a wide variety of people which says alot if people who normally listen to rap like Popular Monster it means he's successful in doing that. I view rap as the polar opposite to metal just like disco is the polar opposite of blues. Those who like both are a very rare breed.
The song is about mental health struggling on a daily basis to want to be and feel better but his dr.s and therapist tell him hes fine its a phase you will get past it but hes really asking for help to navigate these treacherous waters. The popular monster is mental health being depressed and full of rage is a popular thing a lot of people go through and don't get help for. So in short he is the representation of that monster every one has inside.
I always thought popular monster goes back as how popular he is but he’s painted as a monster and how that sht affects him.. aka depression and what not and the daughter saving him
He's a liar he's a cheater he's a non-believer but he's a popular monster meaning that most people would hate a person who was a liar who is a cheater and doesn't believe in God but since he's musically gifted and he sings and he got a ton of money he's popular because of that which is the wrong way to go
No, that's not his inner child.
Therefore he's saying "Popular Monster"
Greetings from Germany
Exactly. Well said.

I also feel like the lyrics say that that people try to get help for depression and nobody listens and say it a phase people go through, but when something bad happens (like a shooting) and that person goes off the rails everyone looks past that they tried to get help and starts using the typical excuses (like a godless house). The metaphor for it is about the stress, anxiety an depression artists deal wit. Its ah known disease alot of artists struggle through

this is an amazing song about mental health.... describing anxiety and or depressional state.... the part " i wake up in the morning with my head still in a daze i am not sure if i should say this $#@& ill say it anyway everybody tryin to tell me that I'm going through a phase i don't know if it's a phase i just wanna feel ok i battle with depression but the question still remains is this post traumatic stress or am i supressing rage and my doctor tryin to tell me I'm goin through a phase this is not a @$#&$@ phase i just wanna feel ok ". having mental health issues these are things you try from other ppl allot like more than you want to and after a while or feels like you kinda just be dismissed or not taken serious for how you are trying to tell your are feeling. .... like just give it time it will pass but that's not the case allot of the time and you get left struggling allot on your own bc of this and leaves ppl spinning their wheels and even more anxious and it stressed bc they are not handling the ungodly feeling of this horrible issue and can make you feel like you fixing to go full blown crazy or think you already are..... when you finially get the nerve to ask for help with something like this but doesn't seem like no one really wants to actually help you and be sincere about it this can make these feeling even worse and can not than likely can cause bigger problem when these hurting ppl feel like oh well they are just left on their own to figure it out.... some ppl are able to do it but there's allot that can't and I'm here to say that personally being one of those ppl struggling through one day at a time with this disease of the mind. . it's hard and horrible and for the people that live with this daily and keep pushing on are truely strong individuals they are real warriors bc the strength and energy it takes to do this is way more than the average which is a heavy weight that we always have to carry.... literally feels like the weight of the whole world at times.... so to anyone else dealing with the daily fight .... keep fighting one day at a time..... the world needs more warriors more than ever these days..... sorry this was long but i hope the person that really needed to hear this got to do just that....

Slaughter to prevail. Demolisher. It’s sick asf
The whole point with making his music is to make it more accessible to a wide variety of people which says alot if people who normally listen to rap like Popular Monster it means he's successful in doing that. I view rap as the polar opposite to metal just like disco is the polar opposite of blues. Those who like both are a very rare breed.
I’m gonna break down. Searching for a way out
This dude-I wonder what that means
😑
Ronnie is known to react to people reacting to his music and videos
The song is about mental health struggling on a daily basis to want to be and feel better but his dr.s and therapist tell him hes fine its a phase you will get past it but hes really asking for help to navigate these treacherous waters. The popular monster is mental health being depressed and full of rage is a popular thing a lot of people go through and don't get help for. So in short he is the representation of that monster every one has inside.
Their new song Voices In My Head just released. Would love your reactions
He's an incredible singer
I always thought popular monster goes back as how popular he is but he’s painted as a monster and how that sht affects him.. aka depression and what not and the daughter saving him
He's a liar he's a cheater he's a non-believer but he's a popular monster meaning that most people would hate a person who was a liar who is a cheater and doesn't believe in God but since he's musically gifted and he sings and he got a ton of money he's popular because of that which is the wrong way to go
