Well done pal. Definitely feels like there’s a few more mental hurdles you can try and push through with your running. You’d already told yourself you were going to walk before you did for example. You and your channel and advice gave me belief I could get my sub 20 5k and been enjoying following you and your journey since. The ups and downs. Have more belief in yourself mate. 💪
Cheers mate! Yeah I definitely struggle with a few mental things on runs like that. It’s because I planned a pace and didn’t know what I was dealing with until I was on it, thought there was more road. I should have steadied up when the first load of stiles came in that early 😂. Glad you’ve found the channel useful though. Have you conquered the sub 20 now?
Great job! Getting through 13 miles on trails without getting injured is a victory in itself!
Cheers Chris! That’s true, I was running nervously for half of the race today so I’m happy to come out unscathed.
Well done. Look like a pro in the vest :)
Haha, thanks Henry. My new race attire a think.
Proper shift pal, well done!! I know I can't suffer that hard for that long, hopefully I'll start to learn when I get out of this base building phase.
Cheers mate. You’re doing all the right training to get yourself in that position. Race days are way more fun when you’re properly fit and prepared for them and I wasn’t yesterday really but glad I did it still. Body battery was 1 out of 100 on my Garmin this morning 😂. Rest up time
Good job Stevo, that did not look easy at all you did very well
Cheers Liam mate. Legs are still sore today…
That looked like a pretty rough steeplechase, I don't think I'd have tried to race it. Well done.
Thanks Dom. New experience that’s for sure!
Well done 👍
Cheers!
Trail running is a completely different sport, huh? Nice work, sounds like you really pushed hard. On another topic, I'm curious why you measure in miles and minutes per mile rather than km? I watch a few Brits on RUclips and noticed most (not all) measure in kms
Mate, yes it’s so different! Loved it though and my legs are feeling it this morning. I’m not sure I’m miles still, I’ve always been imperial because of working as a butcher in pounds, always weighed myself in stones and pounds. I’m sure the UK was all imperial growing up but more are metric nowadays. I’ll maybe move over someday but will take a while, I’m set in my ways now 😂 hope it’s not too confusing for everyone.
