Hi Ma'am. MIS usually offers courses like Tableau, Python, SQL, MS visio and so on. Post graduation, the BA roles offered to us are all purely technical oriented which leads us into a career path of data science mostly because it teaches analytics. Majority of the students dont get any functional or management related roles post graduation. Please let me know your feedback on the same.
One of my clients got into product management after MEM with no prior experience in pm. Yes it’s hard to make such transitions but it’s not impossible.

What is your opinion about Indiana University -Kelley School of business for MIS ?
It’s good and was ranked one of the best programs till few years ago. Their interview used to be weird though. I feel like other programs have moved much faster and somehow Kelley MIS has not retained its charm as much.

Question: I am from Mechanical background with 3 year work ex in Software domain in a Product based company. I can not get into CS courses in top universities because of low CGPA. Can I get a job in MAANG companies as a Software Developer after MS in MIS?
No I wouldn’t recommend MIS if you want to get SE roles in big tech.

My university is pune university and it has a naac A+ ranking and my current sgpa is 8.2
Also if i do a one year diploma from pune University will it be considered as a 4th year to my undergraduate degree? How to check whether the US accepts the diploma I'll do (in case)
Yes some universities do accept 15 years of education. However I would recommend to do msc. Because some universities don't consider 1 year program as a degree. Even I have a same situation, I have completed BSC CS from pune University and now doing msc computer science just to complete 16 years check mark. You will get more options to choose universities after completing masters from India.

Well maam what do you think about dual degree programs such as MBA MIS OR MBA/BA. These are getting more popular as you get MBA degree with STEM accreditation but also at the same time i have heard its stressful.
UoA offers a TLP program (fully funded) for the same so what do u think is it good for people who want an MBA degree but dont want to spend alot of money. Please put some light on this
