About Berkeley, if you want to do only ms, their batch size is very low, it clearly states that on the website and they urge you to do ms+phd, other than that they also don't have a non thesis option and for that they have made meng cs
Thanks for such an informative video. Please make a list of universities where the cost of attendance (COA: Tuition+living expenses) should be less than $50K per year. Also create the same ROI based list for other programs like MSDS/MSAI/MSEE/MSME/MSIE etc. Once again, thanks!
Where are you getting data from? University websites itself? Is there any trusted website i can use that has accurate unbiased data to see colleges that match my profile?
Sir, could you pls advise if UIUC Masters in computer science MCS program ( without thesis) carries the same value as MS CS program ( with thesis) in the Job market or does one program have an edge over the other in job scenario?
SOMEBODY PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT ECONOMICAL UNIVERSITIES IN USA FOR MIDDLE CLASS STUDENTS FROM INDIA FOR MS IN BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING. ITS ALL ABOUT COMPUTER SCIENCE IN ALMOST ALL SITES AND BLOGS!!! Is CSU Long Beach a good option for Masters in BME or is SJSU the better one?
I know these are great universities but 33k $/yr (or 66K$ for 2yrs that too just for tution fees is no joke). I am not sure how a middle class average student can afford it unless he/she gets substantial scholarship.
You are right, absolutely right. I agree with you. But look at the ROI, it’s very high. If you spend that much, or take a loan, You are gonna earn that back in just 1 years. It’s the risk/reward calculation you need to do for yourself .
@@Edflight Yeah true, but consider the market scenario as well. I don't want to be rude but i work as a senior SDE and have some friends and colleagues doing or have completed their MS(some even from USC or other major colleges), but majority of them have'nt done any internships , have zero job offers. I don't understand how can someone with 30+ lakhs loan earn that back in 1 year. Its absolutely impossible even if you work in MAANG companies. This is the case for CS/IT , the picture looks worse for other branches. Certainly its a risk/reward game , but the stakes are too high now and can seriously damage someone's life savings/finances (especially lower middle class people) so i would recommend a make an informed descision if you can't afford one.
@@darshantawte7435 I totally respect your opinion and trust your sources, but I can also present 100s of examples of students I know of or worked with who have gone through the process, got the loan, paid off in 1year and now working, debt free. Again, it’s a risk/reward calculation. It’s not gonna happen by itself, if you don’t take some risk in life. And what I have learned over last one and half decade, smart people always find their way out in US( or in anywhere, in general). It’s my experience. Again, other people may have different experience, different opinion. If I can make my way to USA, study totally free of cost, earn MS and PHD - two degrees spending ZERO dollar on tuition, I think anyone can do that too: study totally free. I was not an exceptional student, nor I was from TOP institute from India, pretty average guy, just like the majority. I am not trying to convince you, just letting you know there are 100s of people who have studied free of cost, and 100s of people who paid off the loan in 1 yr. In the end, I would say: take a decision you are comfortable with. Take care.

Sir i did some research and found out that UNC-chapel hill's MSCS: Computer Sciences program had an sdmit rate of ~4.2 previous year. Does it still make it a good school for applying?
UNC -CH is a good school. You can keep it in your ambitious list if you think your profile is on the average side. In the end, it all depends on the profile, and how you present yourself (in SOP) to admission committee and how good your LORs are. Make sure to apply universities from ambitious, good match and safety categories. Safeties are as important as ambitious schools are.
