Aww you still mad about that Georgia Tech rejection letter? The only UC above Georgia Tech is Berkeley. Georgia Tech, UCSD, and Berkeley are peer institutions and all of Georgia Tech's CS concentrations have been consistently ranked in the top 10 nationally for years.
This list has too many issues. Berkeley should be in the first tier, uiuc either right above or below georgia tech, uc san diego definitely not at the last tier, ucla def above most of the greats, uwash much higher, and umd higher. You say uve barely heard of uwash and discredit it a lot but its definitely top 10
The alternative to the best American universities in CS and to OxBridge in England are the two Swiss federal schools EPFL/ETHZ in Lausanne and Zurich (World's Top 10 and top 6 in science and technology). These two schools are almost free (1750 USD/year tuition fees) and offer world-class CS training, of which that of EPFL is considered today to be just below that of Stanford. And the European centers of Meta, AWS, Disney research, IBM quantum, Google are located in Switzerland, a very pleasant and very safe country. A foreign student is authorized to work 15 hours per week after 6 months of presence at the rate of 27.16USD/hour! An interesting avenue to consider for a young, adventurous American citizen who cannot afford to pay several hundred thousand dollars in tuition fees for a world-ranked 5 year’s master's degree in CS.
As a Wolverine myself, I couldn't agree more regarding your comments about Ohio, but you're a bit generous giving them a "mid" rating. That's probably fair if we're talking open-enrollment community colleges in Columbus, OH. IL is top of the Big10 when it comes to engineering, with Computer Science being no exception. It should be in the best in the world class.
Serious question. How is this your personal opinion? Have you looked at the courses the schools provide? Or is it based on people you know that went there? Thanks for the video
It's a combination of research and our own personal experience and opinions - there is some subjectivity, but some schools are more/less valuable than as perceived by students.
Imo Caltech and Berkeley should be swapped, Caltech is very prestigious but as for undergrad education and what it really teaches, it's known to be more theoretical. Rice is definitely wayy too low, UCSD & UW needs to be above UW Madison, UMD, UNC, and UCSB at least. All the ivy's should be at least "great" due to their status, even if they have a subpar cs department.
Georgia Tech better than Cornell in CS? Hilarious. It should not be in the top 10 schools at all. Their MS program is garbage with OMSCS acceptance rates being 85%. Berkeley is #4 surely and UT Austin and Cornell same rank along with UIUC followed by Michigan. GaTech should be 12-13. Stanford always #1 followed by CMU/MIT
Placing Georgia Tech higher than Berkeley and Princeton is a joke! Georgia Tech should be placed at the level of Purdue in the Good category... In CS... Berkeley definitely needs to be placed in the "Best in the World" category!!

Based on my experience in the companies, MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and Carnegie Mellon are the most powerful in that industry.
What about georgia tech bro?
And UIUC CS???

Not a serious list where Berkeley, UCSD, and Washington are so low. They are all top 10.
You are delusional bro. UC Berkeley is number 1 and near Silicon Valley. All UC's are definitely ahead of Georgia Tech.
Ok You are high. Mit and Stanford are clearly on top. Carnegie Mellon Comes 3rd and Uc Berkeley comes 4th
@@SomGuy-d8r , what are you smoking?
What about UIUC Grainger…. I think it beats all the greats CS wise…. Grainger Engineering and Michigan Engineering are tied.

Interesting tier list, but ucsd comp sci should definitely not be in mid
Yeah this guy does not know what he is talking about lol. UCSD, Berkeley, and Rice should all be higher
What's about University of Miami? Is it prestigious enough ?
Bro, I'm 22, from Brazil 🇧🇷 Is it possible for me to get into these colleges at this age? I'm good enough to crack the SAT. Is it possible for me?
where would you put nyu here?
i think this list is kinda stupid tbh, but i guess if I had to choose id put it in top of mid or bottom of good
I got into ECE at UT and CS for UW-Madison which one do you think I should accept?
CS definitely.

Gotcha. I know you hate UC😂 but UCSD is definitely a top 10 school in the nation in terms of CS and Cal(UC Berkeley) is top 4.
UW was ranked at tier 4. If you are not a computer science master or PhD, I would not recommend you to rank such a list. It’s misleading.

Weaker CS, it's a more liberal arts/humanities school that has a bit too much hype for the job prospects and department quality
