It's very brave of Simeon to send in a clip of his dangerous driving.
Driving like that through a residential area is a disgrace. Not to mention the fact that the other vehicle was on the mini roundabout before he was, and therefore had priority.
I think it says more than you think. He sent it in not knowing that he was the one being a dickhead .. so that how he normally drives!
He/she/they/them/it should give mummy back her keys, go back into the attic and play Gran Turismo on the PS5 instead of trying it in real life.
Someone should pass the footage on to the police so they can get some points on their license.

Simeon appears to be doing 40MPH on the wrong side of the road at 2:31 unless the clip is sped up.

I understand getting shaken up by having to drive with no visibility for a while due to the water on your windscreen, but I'm not sure that pulling to a halt in the same lane where, as you just learnt, drivers can completely lose visibility immediately before where you parked your car was a good plan. That seems like a recipe for getting rear-ended. As you think about that, perhaps also take some time to consider the idea that maybe, there's a lesson here about driving at 75MPH in the rain on waterlogged roads.
Cameron nearly got a Darwin award for driving at 75mph in terrible road and weather conditions.

This is what actually stopped me from speeding. My commute is on an a busy A-road just like that one. When you grow up you soon realise overtaking on such a busy road is pointless. Because if overtake one hgv you’re still stuck behind 50 more in an endless line of traffic congestion, so you’re never going to get to your destination any quicker. It takes as long as it takes and out your hands.
And you’re right, what can I do with those 10 seconds? It makes no difference to me.
@@Tree.fiddy. I think many drivers submit clips knowing they were in the wrong, and showing what not to do. No one can possibly post that and think they were in the right. Same with Cameron's clip

I've had that same situation waiting in line though during my very brief lunch hour which in the end had the same effect due to me then inhaling my burger and fries before going back to work.

I was about to enter a roundabout the other day, going straight on, when a car entered the roundabout from the entrance to my left just before I got to it. I was going to accelerate as hard as I could with my horn blaring and try to crash into the side of him, but then I remembered I don't own a dashcam, and so everything was fine.
Phew mate. Saved by not having a dash cam
A lot of drivers seem to have got it in their head that you only need to glance to the right and if it's clear you can treat the roundabout as normal road, ignoring the road markings. That's not how it works.....
Poor show. You should have done it for the practice and to perfect your technique for when you finally do get one

At 2:33 the other vehicle was on the roundabout. The single dashed line means it is a _should_ give way to vehicles already on the roundabout. Simeon failed to give way.

It was a perfectly good overtake, (if he was on the nose of the national speed limit) bar the FUBAR'd re-entry. Probably got spooked with oncoming traffic and hadn't considered road conditions, but if he merged in a car or two beforehand when there was space, then that's a text book multi-vehicle pass.

@@WhosPhotoTube In the UK you have to pay an annual fee to drive your vehicle on public roads. It's based on the vehicles emissions. So while it's called a road tax it's more an emissions or pollution tax.

It was a rental vehicle from a very big commercial vehicle rental company, so without a number plate might be very difficult to track that one down.
Did Cameron really just submit footage of himself driving without due care and attention . 75mph in those conditions was an accident waiting to happen.
@@medler2110 Correct. My company used a lot of Salford Hire wagons. Just knowing it's Salford Hire would be impossible to track, since they're all over and many companies use them.

If you get clocked speeding, wrongly parked or any accident damage, the hirer pays. I'm just asking, not arguing with you!

Happy Sunday, everyone! Went on a cruise to the Med last week (45 minute delay flying TO the ship and 8 and 1/2 hour delay flying FROM the ship).
However, I did my favourite task in work today (date-checking bread and cakes in retail), got chicken burger and salad for tea and got a new UKDC compilation to watch! Life's good! 🙂

We all do stupid things eventually, I was so tired after a night shift I just stood there with the foot on the accelerator until I was doing 160km in an industrial area (that thankfully was all a straight line with branching roads)
my eyes just shut and I just came back from the daze like a km later
I even took down an old stop sign once when almost sleeping that was barely standing (and lost the front right blinker)
because they are "proud" of what "they" like to do......

In a car with decent tyres in a non pointlessly-wide-I-want-to-look-like-I-drive-the-performance-model-but-can-only-afford-the-1.6-diesel size, with a decent rain repellent, nothing would happen.
Lawnrollers wrapped in worn out budget tyres and a windscreen that became useless as soon as a decent amount of water landed on it were the problem here.

I'm surprised by the lack of Shaun R comments. He's not the worst but still incredibly selfish: identifies the problem, but neither stops to help nor pulls in to the petrol station to notify the van owner. Leaves a big queue of cars in a dangerous situation. Passenger even suggests it and they refuse. Bizarre.

Dan's clip is the PERFECT example of why you don't run a red light because there could always be someone that doesn't have to stop as theirs is just turning green when they get to it; thus this accident is a result.

In theory, Salford Van Hire should shell out pretty readily since there's evidence. They should have details of who was driving too, so at the very least they'd be banned from ever renting from them again. Should have gone to the plod for failure to stop. As @Alastair Ward says, we need closure.
Before watching all dashcam channels I read a lot of the posts to see what the audience is reacting to the most. Seeing Simeon's name pop up, and being the kind of person who gives everyone the benefit of the doubt, thinking his driving can't be that bad i start the video...

One of the best complations, it had it all! Simeon submitting his own terrible driving, a roided up meathead having a pop at someone when he was in the wrong himself and a numpty who didn't read the road conditions, drove through a lake and then stopped in the fast lane of a live carriageway

I hit a flooded area on a single carriageway stretch of the A66; at night, bottom of a decline. I saw it a second before I hit it at 50mph, couldn't see it before - just looked like usual, black tarmac.
The impact knocked about 30mph off my speed in a moment & for several seconds I had zero vision, just a mass of water. How I didn't end-up over a hedge: probably because the car slowed so quickly & hit square on.
Dear reader, I just about shat myself & could do nothing, it was terrifying. It was a great reminder: you never know what's ahead, so don't take anything for granted & moderate your speed.
No date on the clip but as of June 2022 the 08:20 Bentley is untaxed.
Let's hope his extremely fragile Ego got him put in prison and/or he ran out of money to run his 96k mile clapped out budget Bentley that is worth less than a 3 year old Ford Focus.

_Nowhere_ does the HC or law say you should/must give way to traffic approaching the roundabout from the right, but it does say you should give way to traffic [on the roundabout] circulating from your right.
Perhaps Simeon could tell us why he was (a) speeding, (b) driving on the wrong side of the road, (c) pretending a roundabout did not exist and (d) sending in that clip!

I think that's the worst incident of the lot. All other clips could be described as an "accident" to some extent, but there's nothing accidental about stopping, getting out of your car, and then verbally (and physically?) assaulting someone... especially when you're the driver in the wrong in the first place.
