OH MY GOSH! Bro, we we're just talking about you the other day. My friend was looking for inspiration and he loves your style. I said "you can't pull that off, he's big because he's so different to everyone else". Thank you so much my bro 🙌🏾 I feel honoured
Aye it’s nice to see RUclipsrs, especially black RUclipsrs, showing love and supporting each other. Majority of the RUclips cinematographers are white. But IMCE, Vuhlandes, CineDailies, and Kofi Yeboah are the 🐐’s!!
Thank you so much man, yeah definitely....we must support eachother for real! Thankfully I live in a very multicultural area and all races get along but as blacks we do need to support eachother for real.
RUclips fed this video to me. I’ve never seen your channel before but I had to comment to celebrate what you’ve built here. What a solid design. The fact that you did it (whether or not you’ll have to end the project) is proof enough that you can accomplish anything. I’ve been following much bigger camera focused channels for a long time and none of them have ever done anything like this with all that they have access to. Great job! Love the passion.
Jeff, you're so kind bro, thank you for the comment. These kinds of comments really motivate me and that's all I ask for... constructive feedback and positivity 🙌🏾
I have NO IDEA why I have NEVER seen this before!🤯 I'm SO happy RUclips recommended this video to me but mad that they didn't do it sooner! Although I have never met you, I can tell you are a GENUINE person! The work and time you all have put into this is AMAZING! I immediately want to buy one of these just based on the hard work that went into it! Keep up the GREAT work and keep being such a generous giving person! 💪🏾 I wish nothing but the BEST for you! 👍🏾
This is so very kind of you to say. It's really encouraging to read comments like this and really makes the hard work worth it. I truly appreciate your kind words and encouragement 🙌🏾
It's crazy that people would even hate on it. If Someone wants a better form factor and buys the product for their M, why are people getting so upset about that? Appreciate what you have done. Really inspiring seeing this product come to light
Thank you brother. Gosh there were a couple people that were being so stupid about it. It made no sense really, it's really up to the user what type of body they prefer. Thanks again mate, really appreciate it.
What you could possibly do is sell in limited numbers and periods of time like 50 orders every 6 months. This is an amazing product that will pay itself off over time. Its thanks to people like you that i'm planning to get a eos m. Keep up the good work my guy i hope to see your creativity continue to grow :)
This is a very good idea! I'm going to screenshot this and talk to Tom about it. The best idea yet🙌🏾 Sometimes we have slow months and this could be a good time to build a few cams. Thank you so much and keep the good ideas coming.
Waiting for mine with patience. We really appreciate what you and Tom has given to this community. We can't put a price tag on that. And I can't wrap my head around that people don't get that. Thanks, Cole!
I do hope if you won't release the STL that you could maybe license the production to someone else, I found out about this too late but I would love to get my hands on one of these as a project. It's a brillaint concept!
Thanks Brendan, it's so cool right. All the Devs...Danne, A1ex, Bilal, Tom and myself are from all around the world, different races and backgrounds but all took this simple idea that came from one person to end up with a 14bit Raw cine cam. Sometimes it blows my mind when I think how ideas come into reality.
First batch user and I'm super happy with it. I appreciate what you guys have done. Unfortunately your work will never get the appreciation it deserves but I believe it will come in some form or fashion. Keep it up!
Thank you brother, really appreciate the trust in ordering first 🙌🏾 Yeah I don't think it'll get the recognition but for personal reasons it really lifted me mentally.
A lot of people underestimate the psychological factor of how a camera looks. Definitely it is all on your skill, but I realized early that a set turns more professional when I had a bigger camera on set. I once shoot a musicvideo and I owned a small Sony miniDV cam and the band knew that. What they didn't know was that I had bought a Canon XL1 s and when I put it out of the case to start shooting, the mood and atmosphere on set changed drastically. Everyone felt that he is know on a professional set and behaved and acted different. This m-lite product can be so important for young filmmakers that only have that small cam which has a lot of power but you cannot show up with it at a bigger shoot. Thx for the energy you put into that project.
Bro....you nailed it! Absolutely correct! I too have been in that same position but with the M-Lite. You pull out fx30 or black magic there like "oh ok" but when the M-Lite is sitting there as a c-cam they all start talking about it. I get stopped at airports, shops, trains, everywhere people ask about the M-Lite and they simply don't believe it is so cheap lol. So yes, I agree with you fully.
@@Altcine I'm excited to play around with the eos m camera I bought back in 2012 but i expected a game changer and something that would be quicker than a point and shoot. I've had it in a camera bag and shot with it probably 10 times. But to your point I use to shot with this dance crew in 2010. I just bought a new Panasonic dvx 100b after saving for ever. Then when I showed up with it they negatively commented on my new camera and I had to push through the awkwardness to get the first shot set up. It was so bizzare to me. What were they expecting for me to purchase when all my gigs compensation is dance lessons for time.
I think some people just don't understand how much time and money goes into the development of products like this - which is ironic as 3D printing was originally created for rapid prototyping. I definitely think it's reasonable to not want to release the files - let's be honest, you'd probably see a flood of copies being flogged on various websites, even if you charged for the files. Looking forward to seeing future content from this channel!
Absolutely 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I myself knowing little about CAD, prototyping etc was stunned by the amount of work it takes. We spent about 7 months doing the Blackmagic so really the M-Lite took us 10 months in total. Then needing doner m bodies and all the spares etc it was crazy. The real issue was that I wanted the body to be super affordable so I knew the profit would be non existent but I'm still glad we managed to do it and I really can't have anyone messing it up right now. Thank you for the kind comment and understanding where I'm coming from 🙌🏾
I don’t know if you can say “camera we made from scratch…” when it’s mostly just taking a camera and putting it in a new housing with magic lantern, but I think I know what you mean. Great idea and great product regardless.
Never seen this channel before today but this video makes me so happy, everytime somebody builds a DIY piece of camera equipment, an angel gets its wings
Hey, thanks so much for checking out the video. Yes I love DIY too 😁 One day I truly believe people from around the world will contribute to building our own camera's. I'm constantly blown away by the technical abilities of people that I meet.
I love this project. I thought about doing something like this for years but never had the time because ive been working on other products. So cool! That said: If you're going to stop selling them, you truthfully should release the STL (especially since you said you would). I know how much work goes into a product like this, but if you're not going to be making money off of it anymore that's just trying to stop people from enjoying the project to no benefit.
Cheers man, long story short I asked people if I should start a fund to cover costs and did a poll. Majority said it's not really for funding, Kickstarter etc. I left the poll after some negative comments and we worked on it ourselves. A long time after we dropped the teaser then the poll started to get more traction in favour of starting a fund. By that time is was too late because I had already bought the doner Eos-M, materials, paid for the test prints etc. Tom had also spent a long time modeling and ordering parts etc so we were too deep in. If people were interested and spoke up when I dropped the v1 prototype video the stl would have out and free for everyone to download. The rest I explained in the video.
Just wondering what material it is 3d printed out of and if it is a material that can withstand the heat. I live in San Diego and I really don't want it warping on me if I work outdoors with it lol. Really hope to pull the trigger on this soon since it has to be a limited run and I think it would just be a cool project and piece of niche history to have!
Tom uses a high quality matte filament which is very strong and thick. I've tested this abroad in various countries like Barbados and Ibiza in the blazing hot sun with camera out on the beach all day and it's solid! The internal fan also keeps the camera very cool which is a big bonus.
Insane value you and Tom have provided to us cine plebs. Really inspiring to have witnessed your path to realize your vision. You’re putting a guilt trip on us for not chasing our own dreams bro ! 😅 good to see you in good spirits after a rough patch and excited to see what wild stuff you come up with in the future. Love you bro ! ❤❤❤
Bro first I want to thank you personally for always being here in the comments. I really appreciate it! It means a lot when I see returning people come back and give feedback....it makes all this stuff worth while. Things are still really rough at the moment, my sister is suffering with stage 4 cancer but she's responding well to treatment so I'm just praying she pulls through. Life is too short not to have fun and chase dreams so we gotta do it. Thanks again bro 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Great work. I totally hear you on the file thing. I have hundreds of designs that I will probably be the only one to see them. Takes way to much time to create just to give away for other people to sell.
Thank you mate. Yeah it's so much work! I didn't realise just how involved it is and without Tom this would never have happened. I have a new respect for product designers and fully understand why it costs so much.
Will we ever get a release of the files for the M-Lite body? Obviously for a price, you deserve to be compensated for your work, but you mention the benefit of destroying the body and reprinting it. But for those who have to buy the body, it's not so inexpensive of a process.
Hello this has been my introduction to your channel and I have to say that I am blown away. The quality and time that was put into this is simply amazing. And also I get not releasing the stl, especially with how much work it was put into it and the drawbacks that will come with having it free and people selling them without you having any type of profit on it. I do have a recommendation though, you could sell the STL file with a personal use license. The idea of having a camera that you can use and abuse and being able to reprint anything if it breaks is simply a dream. But that's just an idea, I am looking forward to your new projects. Keep up the good work!!!!!
Thank you, you're so kind and glad you found the channel. There's been many good suggestions regarding the stl and every fibre of my body wants to release it. It was always meant to be free and I asked the community about raising funds but it was the naysayers that were the most vocal in the beginning. Others didn't speak up until much later when they saw the teaser trailer which was a shame as by that time we'd already spent the money and time. Anyway, I do agree with you... people should be able to print themselves, in whatever colour at any time. I will discuss it more with Tom
@@Altcine Also I thought you might be interested in this person's channel. They have been working on rehousing vintage lenses into cine lenses via 3d print. Maybe will give some ideas for your future blackmagic box ruclips.net/video/dtIosjIDzM8/видео.html
mannn, i really wanted one of these, just at first glimpse it look solid and i cannot imagine the time and effort it took to come up with this! this is awesome and i wish i could get my hands on one of these, congratulations for the amazing work that all of you and your team did!
Thank you Victor, there's still time should you need to get one but either way....thank you for your kind comment. It really is a tank, not heavy but just the right weight. When Tom designed and printed he was quite meticulous in the weight & size Vs construction so it feels just right. Using a lot of different cams myself gave me all the information I needed to have it feel right.
Love and respect to your projects man! I'm so happy, I was able to get one of the M-Lites. Recently I was able to shoot a passion project with it and I hope I'll be able to edit it and share it soon. The outside the box (pun intended) thinking you and Tom from 3DFocus have put into this project is insane! Wishing you all the best with your future ambitions🙏🙏
Hey brother, thank you so much. I think you were one of the first to build yours and I was over the moon the day I saw your pics. Thank you so much bro and I'd love to share your work in future. Hopefully you got some BTS too?
@@haydnwolfie Totally antithetical to the opensource & 3d printing community spirit. Someone will come along and change the calculus being displayed here.
I really think this is cool. I’m an additive manufacturing engineer and my interest in the project is on integrating high temp, strong, polymers into the design. Are there any plans to release some files to let some of that work be done?
Hey, thank you. We've had a lot of respectable requests for the files so I will talk to Tom and hopefully we can come up with something that benefits everyone.
Very cool. I’ve got access ultem 9085, carbon fiber hightemp nylon, and some shock absorbent variations of pei. So if you’re curious at all about solving some temperature, and strength issues with these techniques feel free to reach out.
bro never address the haters just say your not releasing the STL files everyone knows its a business and your a small team...Just push forward with what your doing dont let them get in your head keep moving..The blackmagic box is a good idea but you maybe stepping on their toes maybe you should contact them and get the blessings.?
Real talk brother, I hear that! I'm just letting them know from now on I won't be involved in any foolishness. Tbh we won't be the first to do a Blackmagic rebuild. I've seen a couple crude versions on their older cams from 3d prints. Yes ours will be polished but it's not like we're doing a full on production. These will made small-scale for very few people.
Great job! I'm super excited for the bmcc 6k rehousing as a 6k pro user, hope you guys could change the mount to E or L, so it would be much more flexible for 6k to use a speed booster or those new anamorphic and cine lenses. Since you mentioned the case would be made from aluminum, it might passive cooling the sensor or at least reducing the fan speed. The 6k case would be really popular since black magic is pissed the fan base alot by not releasing any box shaped cam yet. I also dont mind if the case is made from plastic.🎉
Hi, yeah it would be such an awesome upgrade but it's a lot more technical than we first thought. I'll be dropping a video in about 10days with a full update on this
Was hearing about magic lantern in like 2010 for my old 7D. I'm surprised it's still going. Very cool to get some life back into EOS M. They were a great cameras held back by a lack of commitment to lens design from Canon.
I can't believe I only just stumbled onto your channel and the m-lite. As an aspiring videographer your videos and this project is a true inspiration, I'm just glad at the very least I found this before September the first. Will you guys be taking orders up until then or will you just stop taking orders after reaching a particular threshold? Keep up the great work will be following your videos closely from now on.
Thank you so much, It's great to hear it inspires people as that's all I try to do. Orders will be open until sep 1st. It was meant to be until we ran out of materials but we have to buy parts in bulk.
I just learned of this project today and what Tom and you have accomplished is amazing!. If there is a future limited release, I'll make sure to get one!
I get why you don’t want to release the slt mainly because the black magic camera but I am wondering if a year or to down the line after the black magic camera comes out you would consider selling the stl files for like 80 dollars or more or less?I just want to say though I do respect your decision to not release the files but this could maby make back some of the cost of developing the files but hey it’s your decision just thought i would ask
Hi mate, I would love to release it and in less than a year too hopefully. Let's see how the next 4 months go, if we can get this damn 6k box done (it's so difficult)
Thank you Mark. Yeah we actually did the box 6k a long time ago and are very close to the end but the M-Lite took over. Hopefully when all M-Lite's are shipped etc we can fully commit to getting the B6K out.
only just came across your channel but you have opened up my eyes to the concept of modding cameras. may have to get one for the culture, but the idea of rehousing is very smart and may look to also explore my own rehousing but for fpv and having a canon m rehoused to an fpv drone seeing its capabilities
Awesome man, it's great when we can share ideas. There's a few people that put the m on drones but when you strip away the body, it weighs nothing. I think it would be amazing to just coat the exposed circuits with some sort of weather proofing, get a sharp wide c-mount lens and internal battery. Probably weigh just a little bit more than a GoPro.
Your work, effort, sweat and time to develop a solution(elegant and functional) for amateur film makers shouldn't go unpaid or unrewarded. Hour of research, testing, reprinting...Oh my; all that it's priceless. Keep your hard work and try to make honest money out of it. God bless
Big respect for this whole project, I love the vision you and Tom have had to put this adventure together. Finally managed to get the M-Lite fully functional end of last week and I can testify it is a well worth project to do, despite my struggles it has been a pleasure to build and seriously anyone considering buying one before they go do it! Yes things can go wrong but patience pays and if something does go wrong it is almost certainly not going to result in failure, just a delay to completion. Challenge yourselves...do it! 😂
Hey Tim, thank you for the comment bro. I fully agree with what you've said. I failed first time too 😅 but once it's all done it is very satisfying and great to shoot with. 🙌🏾
Thank you bro, and thank you for all your advice in the messages. I feel I can rely on you for balanced advice and it really helped me make a lot of decisions.
Magic lantern and the devs behind it are so underrated! I really wish the industry had embraced the whole aftermarket firmware idea. I run an R6 and a Ronin 4D and while they're incredible hardware its clear that they're both hobbled on purpose by firmware either to sell more accessories or to make the next gen appealing. You've done a fantastic job with this, it's a shame it wasn't more lucrative for you.
Aftermarket firmware would be so awesome. It's like litchi for DJI or that other software for parrot drones that really opened them up and they worked flawlessly. We don't need to push cams past their limits and I agree that it's stuff deliberately held back. In terms of lucrative, I'm very happy that I got my money back but it was the knowing we made an idea come to life that was the biggest reward I could ask for. We're very happy with how things turned out but I appreciate your kind thoughts 🙌🏾
Sad to see this go. Didn’t have the chance to get one, and likely won’t given my financial situation as a student right now. Either way, these are amazing, and I hope whatever project comes next is just as successful, if not more.
Thank you bro🙏🏾 try not to think of it as gone....it's time for a new chapter now and people who got one should go out and enjoy it. I'm sorry that you couldn't get one, truly I am 🙏🏾 but if we don't stop this now we can't possibly move on with other stuff. Thanks again for your kind words bro. I really appreciate it.
You are very calm and enlightening. Great video. I just got the 650D and upgraded to firmware 1.0.5. When I go to the ML site it says Crop Mood can only be used with firmware 1.0.4. I tried and it doesn't work on 1.0.4. What suggestions for me to get the older software?
Thank you Vernon. Yes the firmware is definitely Available online but if you can't find it join the FB group and get it from there. m.facebook.com/groups/mlvraw/?ref=share
Great job!! I've been following this since day one and love your dedication and passion to this project. You all have killed it! Now, I did hear that you are working on a Pocket 6K box camera build?!?!? OMG I would definitely purchase that build if you all made it!! 🙌🏾 Eager to see whats in store! ❤️🔥👏🏾
Thank you 🙌🏾 the support means a lot. Yeah B6K. Tbh it should have been out ages ago but the M-Lite took on all the resources so hopefully we can back to work on that asap.
This has really inspired me to try and dissect a micro four thirds sensor from an Olympus / Panasonic point and shoot, and 3d print a digital backing connected to a raspberry pi to shoot behind a Super 16mm camera set up. Maybe the way to go is to do this build to get familiar !
This is the kind of shit I always dream of doing but you've actually done it! So impressed, the price is also tantalising realistic enough for me to get one just to geek out on and enjoy the project build just for fun. Thanks
Thank you 🙏🏾 yes, I spoke to so many people over the world on getting them setup with ml and their thoughts were always the same. They love magic lantern but wished they could get a proper camera. I also noticed that people were spending around $200 to $250 to get a reasonable setup so I wanted to get a similar price for M-Lite. I knew pricing it low would kill any chance of good profit but profit wasn't the motive.
Great work! Such an amazing passion project. I was seriously tempted to buy one of these... until you dropped the bomb that you're creating a BMPCC6K box camera! So pumped for that to drop. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much, that's very nice of you 🙌🏾 The box 6k will cost thousands though. It will have brand new p6k internals, media slot, hot swappable battery, machined from aluminium etc. It's a complete different project so don't let it stop you ordering an M-Lite 🙌🏾
It was one thing we discussed but it depends how good you are at wiring etc. We are making the camera with hot swap npf plate so might be a bit tricky. It's possible though that we could supply just the shell and the person could use v or gold mount. Will keep the community informed.
@@Altcine I think anyone looking for a box camera is likely using V-mounts. I use a CAME-TV Mini 99. I think similar 'mini' V-mount batteries are the perfect application for rigs using your box design. Really hope you end up offering a V-mount option 🤞and I bet the community would love it too
Yeah that's true. Tbh.... vmount would be easier than hot swap npf because we have to run them in tandem directly to the lpe6 connectors which will require lots of testing. With a vmount we know it'll work first time.
Thanks bro 🙌🏾 It was so much deeper than that too! I got called a scammer and all sorts. That was a big part of why we funded it ourselves. The crazy thing is...I saw the same people asking me for the stl 🤣
Thank you. Yes it's happening. We actually started that first but the M-Lite took over all resources. Hopefully can finish now the M-Lite orders are coming to an end.
Hey brother, hope you're well? Thank you for your kind words man and I really hope I get to sit and chat with you one day. You are so calm and relaxed and I love that about you.
@@Altcine Hey bro, I'm doing ok. My health is a bit on the low end of the scale at the moment. I'm struggling a bit there. But I'm fighting. One day, man! We'll be sipping some tea and talking cameras, films, and life!
Ahhh sorry to hear that bro and I sincerely hope things improve 🙏🏾 yes that would be amazing. If I ever travel to your parts I will hit you up for sure.
Thank you 🙌🏾 I think we will need to look at that soon. We'll have to catch up on the B6K first but I will talk to Tom about that at some point. You will probably loose access to some buttons and it will be much harder to do but I'll only know once I've figured it out.
I have to say that is really amazing what you've built here, makes me want to get an EOS M just for fun and kit it out either with the Vikta or Amara housing, looks fantastic, but I have to ask, could we expect any future project similar to this in the future ? with another camera of course.
Thank you. Yes it was a lot of fun and very satisfying to get it right. Definitely for tinkerer's but also a lot of fun to use. Yeah the VIKTA is definitely the one. I can't wait to build it. We have a few early stage renders but the B6K is complete. Just a couple circuit boards and cables and we can test a 3d printed model first.
Wow Colin, congrats on 10k subs! You're a living legend, massive respect for what you've achieved with these models. I recently sold my eos-m and have built a collection of four 5D Mark II's that i will use for multi-cam videos in my studio as I'm spinning up a new channel for music production and performance. I still plan to shoot with Magic Lantern, but honestly not looking forward to the post-production work flow with all that footage, so we'll see. Best regards, you're still my hero man.
Hey bro, long time no hear...hope you're well? Thank you, appreciate your kind words. The 5D2 is much better so I understand that but yeah, the work flow lol. Might want to look into mlvfs to give yourself an easier time.
If someone is so annoyed about not getting free or even discounted STL files nothing is stopping them from putting in the work to design one themselves. You clearly put in the work if they find it worth it nothing stopping them from buying your product like any other product out there. I don’t see them asking for the internal hardware sheets and STL’s for Sony cameras or black magic cameras. They find the camera worth buying assembled
Absolutely mate, thank you for this 🙌🏾. I didn't go into detail about why we didn't release the stl but when I put the idea out to fund a free STL I got some mad responses. A lot of good ones but some real crazy ones. One guy said "why do you need funding, all you're doing is putting a camera in box. I could do that in a few days". Needless to say I blocked him and all the other mad people out there. I do wish we tried the funding route but the poll and the Facebook post didn't get much traction until I released the trailer a few months later.
I love it! Nice, professional and affordable. Definitely considering buying a Hollywood pack. Just wondering, if need be, is it possible to mount a functional external monitor on the body?
Just make that pocket 6k camera box case ! That is a bigger market ! You can put me on the list for 2 cameras also maybe you can make it work with kinefinity mount so can be adapted easy to anything.
Will get it done as soon as possible. Changing the mount is hard enough without using a completely different one. It has to be so precise because of the flange.
i don't own a canon eos m but i've been following your work and this DIY cam because you are so passionated and kind that i had to :) congrats. I know it takes time etc, but have you thought about doing it for the BMPCC OG ? again, another tiny amazing camera. Best of luck for the next projects, cheers
Thank you mate, you're very kind. The M-Lite is fully covered now so I think it's now time for people to enjoy shooting with it. I've received so many great comments on this video...better than the others and it's really given me energy to work on another camera alongside the p6k. I was going to stop but the positive energy has really changed my mind and fired me up. Hopefully we can have another small cam ready later this year so watch this space 😉
@@Altcine thx for your answer ; i'm younger than you, and don't know where you find this energy ; your channel is crazy sick and you are one of the rare who really cares like 100% about his audience, in a sincere way. You bet i'm gonna watch this space, but can you give us a clue on the next cam you're going to improve (you can't hear me but i'm begging you and screaming from France !!!!)
Ahhh thank you so much man, that means soooo much. I have no motive, just fun, education and keep going forward 🙌🏾 All I can say is, it's another Blackmagic and it'll be aluminium 😁
Thank you so much Cole for your Contribution not only to the Eos m community but to the filmmaking community as a whole. What you and Tom have done is going down in history and the Mlite will live on for ever 🙌 If I could I would buy myself another mlite since they won't be made anymore

Waiting for mine with patience. We really appreciate what you and Tom has given to this community. We can't put a price tag on that. And I can't wrap my head around that people don't get that. Thanks, Cole!
Thank you Robert, really appreciate the patience. I'm so glad you see the bigger picture and we value everyone that purchased the M-Lite 🙌🏾
I do hope if you won't release the STL that you could maybe license the production to someone else, I found out about this too late but I would love to get my hands on one of these as a project. It's a brillaint concept!
That's a possibility, we will discuss it after we've released the Blackmagic. Thank you 🙌🏾
Ps, send a message to Tom at 3dfocus.org and see if there's been any cancellations.
I don’t have an EOS M but so appreciate the community that made this kind of thing happen
@@AltcineAmazing work!
Thank you
A lot of people underestimate the psychological factor of how a camera looks.
Thank you for the kind comment and understanding where I'm coming from 🙌🏾
@@Altcine u worked on a blackmagic one ?
@@Altcine i was working on a blackmagic og myself and im probl gonna work on it again bec i would love a bmpcc og box edition.
I don’t know if you can say “camera we made from scratch…” when it’s mostly just taking a camera and putting it in a new housing with magic lantern, but I think I know what you mean. Great idea and great product regardless.
You make it sound so simple 😅. We're doing one more "from scratch" and I'd never do another one after this....it's quite complex.
Any possibility of selling the stl? Its just so cool man.
Never seen this channel before today but this video makes me so happy, everytime somebody builds a DIY piece of camera equipment, an angel gets its wings
Hey, thanks so much for checking out the video. Yes I love DIY too 😁
One day I truly believe people from around the world will contribute to building our own camera's. I'm constantly blown away by the technical abilities of people that I meet.
great project,
what about selling the stl ?
I love this project. I thought about doing something like this for years but never had the time because ive been working on other products. So cool!
That said:
If you're going to stop selling them, you truthfully should release the STL (especially since you said you would).
Really love this project. Hope yall bring the M-Lite back sometime, i would love to get one myself. Also love your content, keep it up :)
Thank you. Yeah it may make a comeback next year once things have settled down
Those cameras are gonna be like Off White Jordan Ones, rare and a privilege to have😊
For real 😁🙌🏾🙌🏾
Why not do the same for 5D Mark III? I mean its a full frame camera, very capable, still affordible.
😅 good to see you in good spirits after a rough patch and excited to see what wild stuff you come up with in the future. will there be another production run? I’ve only just discovered this
Possibly mid 2024 after we've completed a few projects.
You wrote history!
Your project was awesome and we all enjoyed it!
Thank you so much!
Thank you man, it's so awesome to read this.
Will there be any more produced, I've watched the full video.
Yes there will be more soon 😁
I think I may have to jump on this just because the passion behind the project is next level.
Thank you so much, very encouraging
An aluminium 6k box? Amazing. Wonderful work you're doing here. Can't wait for it to drop.
Yep that's right 😁 hopefully it's ready soon.
You all put in so much work, I just watched the segment but thank you for what you've done for the industry and for others.
Thank you 🙏🏾 really appreciate it
the passion you put into teaching us we can only thank you champ
I appreciate that bro, I really do
Why not just sell the STL file for like $40 bucks or something like that
Will we ever get a release of the files for the M-Lite body? Obviously for a price, you deserve to be compensated for your work, but you mention the benefit of destroying the body and reprinting it. But for those who have to buy the body, it's not so inexpensive of a process.
Give us some time. The Blackmagic will be out in about 4 months so the stl won't be as valuable after that
@@Altcine Take all the time needed. I was just curious if it was in the pipeline.
Ok cool. Thanks bro
Curious, have you released the stl files??? It’s been a couple months since this post.
mannn, i really wanted one of these, just at first glimpse it look solid and i cannot imagine the time and effort it took to come up with this! this is awesome and i wish i could get my hands on one of these, congratulations for the amazing work that all of you and your team did!
Will you opensource the 3d print model ?
He won't, no. Did you miss the bitch fit he threw in the middle of the video about that? 😅
Excellent. Yes I'll definitely stay InTouch. Are you on Instagram by any chance?
bro never address the haters just say your not releasing the STL files everyone knows its a business and your a small team...Just push forward with what your doing dont let them get in your head keep moving..The blackmagic box is a good idea but you maybe stepping on their toes maybe you should contact them and get the blessings.?
Yeah it's amazing that it's still evolving. Just wish we could use it on newer hardware.
@@Altcinesounds cool hope you can get that 6k box done I have designed a few stl file camera parts and it’s so tedious good luck on the 6k box

Amazing work on the project! When you said you were working on a P6K box camera, my heart jumped! Absolutely cannot wait!
Thank you for the passion in creating this. Also, good luck with the coming projects that you are driving!
Thank you for your encouragement 🙏🏾
Your work, effort, sweat and time to develop a solution(elegant and functional) for amateur film makers shouldn't go unpaid or unrewarded. Hour of research, testing, reprinting...Oh my; all that it's priceless. Keep your hard work and try to make honest money out of it. God bless
Thank you so much, this is very encouraging bro 🙏🏾 really appreciate your time and comment.

Such a good comment. Thank you for the appreciation 🙌🏾 Although it was a lot to figure out, it was fun.
Thank you for the incredible work. Thos must be getting any overhead. Theyre doing this out of the love for cameras and the community.
Thank you so much, that's very nice of you 🙌🏾
The box 6k will cost thousands though. It will have brand new p6k internals, media slot, hot swappable battery, machined from aluminium etc.
It's a complete different project so don't let it stop you ordering an M-Lite 🙌🏾
@@Altcine no plans to for an option similar to the M-Lite that allows the customer to swap the internals?
I got mad respect for you and what you said about people given you a hard time!
Thanks bro 🙌🏾 It was so much deeper than that too! I got called a scammer and all sorts. That was a big part of why we funded it ourselves. The crazy thing is...I saw the same people asking me for the stl 🤣

The fact that that camera can do raw, red's attorneys are somewhere trying to figure out some way to stop it 😅
😂😂 yeah, that whole patent thing needs to be destroyed.

I have no motive, just fun, education and keep going forward 🙌🏾
All I can say is, it's another Blackmagic and it'll be aluminium 😁
@@Altcine please, make it kryptonite !!! (For the BMPCC OG Even if i know it's not this one).
Best to you
😁😁 watch this space 🙌🏾
Excited to see what the BMPCC6K Aluminium shell will be 👀👀👀👀
Hopefully not too long 🙌🏾
Thank you so much Cole for your Contribution not only to the Eos m community but to the filmmaking community as a whole. What you and Tom have done is going down in history and the Mlite will live on for ever 🙌 If I could I would buy myself another mlite since they won't be made anymore
Thank you my brother 🙌🏾🙌🏾
i think if you aren't selling it anymore, you should open source the stl file, because WE AREN'T ABLE TO BUY IT ANYMORE!!
It's still available until September 1st. You have time.
What a beautiful thing. I'm a big fan of your work.
@@rhalfik thank you so much. I really appreciate it 🙏🏾
Suoer awesome project! I cant believe im just seeing you channel for the first time as you have great content. Although i dont have a need for this camera as I am an FX6 owner myself, i may order one just support you and Tom's amazing a passionate work!
Thank you so much, really appreciate your comment. I recently bought and fx6 myself about 6 weeks now and I love it.
Thanks again for your kind words
Wow this is awesome ..question does this casing work with canon m6 mark2 ?
Thank you, and no, it does not. This only works for the EOS M.
Cheers man 🙌🏾
I don't know why youtube didn't recommend you to me before today ! You are a genuis! I love the concept , it's so a good respond to ur needs ! I really hope this is not the end,I would like to consider this solution...
Thank you, yeah the algorithm sucks lol. I really want this to be accessible for all but we just gotta figure out the best way.
So beautiful man, love this project
Thank you 🙏🏾
I'm too late to invest in this because EOS M has pretty much gone in my country. I'm looking forward for your next cool project.
Yeah the stock is drying up in most countries. I think there's good bargains in a few Asian countries but they're depleting for sure.
Awasome work Cole, 🔥🔥📽️,
Thank you brother
Man this is great stuff. Appreciate the brain power and passion.
Thank you so much.
This is so cool! Excellent work on this project! I can really tell how much effort and passion you put into this, keep inspiring :)
Ahhh thank you so much man. Yes tons of effort went into it and it was worth it 🙌🏾
Thank you for everything ❤
Thank you for commenting 🙌🏾
Amazing project!! Well done, guys! One question - does it deliver a clean HDMI out, so it can be used for streaming too?
Thank you. It does have clean hdmi but it's quite low Res. I have seen some decent looking live streams though.
Really nice project!! 🤗 Great work. Wouldn't the Sigma fp also be worth considering for such a conversion?
Thank you.
Yeah the sigma FP and the Blackmagic OG would be prime candidate's for rehousing.
I did a poll and the FP won by a small margin.
@@Altcine Thank you for your answer! Are you planning to do another project using one of the cameras?
Yeah, quite a few crazy projects. No difinitive timeline though
Absolutely Incredible.. Inspirational..Happy I stumbled across this video and channel.
Thank you so much, I'm glad so many people are inspired by this. Loving all this positivity 🙌🏾
