This man is the argument FOR the death penalty.
Brooks is almost 40. Death row inmates can sit 20 years before execution. You're doubling the cost and the length of the trial in the hopes 12 people agree just to shave like 10 years off his life. I'm fine with the morality of state execution but in practice it doesn't work well. Nicolas Cruz was a 9-3 decision btw. You can't change peoples beliefs and the supreme court has upheld you need a jury to execute.
He's irredeemable except in examining his brain to see what deformity that helped to create this evil man. He has no reason to continue breathing.
And the parkland shooter but that didn’t work out. I would love for them to bring something worse than life in prison or the death penalty for people like these.
But there he wouldn't feel any pain ,he needs to feel pain over and over again for everything that he has cause these famlies

I’m a 41 year old curly man. And this one made me LOSE it. This guy is a piece of trash. And life in prison isn’t a punishment for trash like him. Plenty of drugs in there, tv and your own cell at least in a few of the prisons out here. I hope that one of these old ladies was a relative of one of the aryan brothers in there. The best medicine for trash like him inside, is fear. Nothing worse than looking over your back in a line full of people you know want you dead. Makes you embrace death. Man I’m so glad I’m not in confinement anymore, (low level drug felonies. I was on meth for a long time and I still didn’t run any people over)

Her brother rubbing her shoulder to help her keep it together is everything. His facial expression just looking broken but helping his sister get through her impact statement.
We can't thank her enough. She went through an awful experience testifying, but we can't imagine the trauma she went through at the moment of finding out. Bless her for testifying, the strength to do so would elude most of us.

This was so powerful and heartbreaking, she really paints the picture of that horrible mess.
She's so strong for making these feelings known, I'm glad he has to see how miserable he made this poor girl and her family, to hear her point of view without interrupting.

Exactly! My Mum died at the age of 99. She was in a nursing home for 4 years due to progressive dementia. I am so sorry for this beautiful daughter and her family. I am grateful my Mum wasn't killed at the hands of a psychopath.

@@dannibble he got really bothered when the man talked about Darrell's Mother's failures as a Mother! I feel his Mother was the biggest failure for not holding him accountable from his very young ages. She bailed him out, let him live with her and let him use her car as a weapon.

Honestly, her strength astounds me; the fact that she was able to go up there and recount a very traumatic situation at such a vulnerable time for her in multiple ways: school wise and agewise
Out all of the testimonies, this one hit the hardest for me. The way she describes what she’s been through with a voice so teary, it really breaks me. I hope all the victims of this man find the peace they need when his sentence arrives.
Unfortunately it won't. Because grieving is a process and her mother is no longer with her.

He is truly evil. As a parent of a beautiful 6 year old all of these statements have been gut wrenching to listen to. Hugged your loved ones. Tell them you love them every single day. A semi truck broke a traffic law and hit me. All I thought about was I will never hear my daughter tell me to hold her. I didn't think of material things or unpaid bills. Luckily I survived. I had to learn to walk again and my daughter was there to cheer me on for my first steps as I did with hers. Live your life every single day. Never stop saying I love you. Be kind.

Watching DB sit there cold,y, nonchalantly writing notes while these victims pour out their heart is UNBEAREABLE. I was at work listening to the live stream through my earphones. I had to turn it off when she spoke about her mom missing her prom and graduation because I was about to burst into tears! 💔 Very moving, my prayers are with victims and their families.

I'm balling like crazy right now. 😭😭 I feel for her. We lost my mom about a year ago, and on top of that my neice died of cancer on my birthday same year. I hide on my birthday now. Not wishing to celebrate it. Because i feel it has been replaced with the sadness of losing the ones I love. When she said her mom was the glue. I completely understand what she meant by that. Because that's what happend in my family as well. We fell apart. She did a great job up there. She has me in tears. I hate that this had to happend to those families. My husband was murdered and i never got to speak or face the murderer so this brings me comfort that she was allowed to express herself. Even hearing about one simple aspect that the victims from The Dancing Grannies all shared: their energy. That might seem insignificant to some, but their energy was really a love of LIFE. And all that life has to offer: loving their family, trying new things, traveling, making new friends, supporting old ones, celebrating special occasions, contributing…. It’s endless, and that’s just one aspect. Knowing the levels and layers of grief this poor heartbroken daughter has gone through, and will continue to go through, are hard to witness even through a RUclips screen.
