I was so shocked I couldn't move and my friend who was riding with me got out and told me it was alright. I had run over a parking barrier. I just CANNOT fathom someone running over people without stopping. . . this man is a threat to society who refuses to see what he has done as wrong or take accountability. This is WHOLE trial was him trying to get away with it in the most pathetic and foolish way possible. The only tears he shed was for himself and himself alone. I’ve been rewatching this case like crazy. I think it’s because of the dynamic between Brooks and Judge Dorow. Brooks is the kind of person that good people hope and pray to never cross paths with or god forbid, have them enter your life in some way. He’s so self righteous, narcissistic, selfish and lacks self awareness to a serious degree. But Judge Dorow read him like the back of her hand. She knew exactly how she needed to work him so that there would be NOTHING he could hold against her in an appeal. She always had the ace in her hand, and he was always the fool. Watching his true colors through a screen is enraging enough. I can’t imagine being the Judge who had to deal with him in real life. So, after binging on the absurdity of Darrell Brooks, this video hits just right. JUSTICE. The Judge was waiting for this moment, and she owned it. She owned him, and she did it for the families who couldn’t do so themselves.

It isn’t often that you see pure evil… That is what Brooks is… Pure, unadulterated evil. I was so impressed thst Judge Darrow cleatly pointed out that this man is intelligent, and obviously understands what is happening. He shows no remorse…no sympathy for his victims. He is obviously accustomed to winning arguments, and getting his way. It didn’t work this time, buddy…

Her kindness is a weakness to people like Darell and unfortunately, she allowed him to control her courtroom. This passed on unnecessary pain, anger, and frustration to the victims, which all could have been avoided had she had a little more backbone. Could you imagine having your child murdered in a Christmas parade and then listening to the killer yell "STOP IT!" to the judge with zero consequences? NOWHERE else would this be tolerated. I can't believe he aggressively stared her down too and all she did was state for the record that she was scared and going on break. Come on Judge Dorow...
It's completely possible to prevent a mistrial WHILE controlling your courtroom. I like her a lot and have a tremendous amount of respect for her, but I think she was the wrong judge for a narcissist like Darell Brooks. She's too kind and soft.

She focused on their statements and made the final say in the case about them and not him. Keeping him muted was brilliant as that was sure to infuriate him. When she did refer to him, she dismissed him as a person and highlighted his actions. This was hard to listen to, but brilliantly delivered. 32:30 The fact that Darrel Brooks tries to deny having any contact with Erika Patterson on the 20th is so absurd. The battery charge associated with that date was dropped but he still had personal contact with her. In Darrel Brook's interrogation he tells an Officer just that. He said he met up with her on the 20th and had a "shouting match" with her. This is towards the end of the interrogation video. Darrel tells so many lies that he can't even keep them straight. He simply couldn't handle Judge Dorrow complimenting Erika Patterson. It filled him with rage and led to this outburst. He has made statements in which he denies being an angry person or being full of rage on the 21st and yet his conduct throughout the trial highlights just how angry and full of rage that he is. His outbursts, glaring at the judge and snarling his nose all prove to anyone watching this trial that this man cannot control himself or his anger. Darrel Brooks displaying his anger and rage for the jury was the prosecutions star witness. Judge Dorrow's remarks and sentence were and are so very satisfying.

This guy winning an appeal based on mistakes brought about by his bad faith strategy to delay and disrupt the proceedings would literally cripple our court system with the precedent it would create.
Like I understand some people try to defend him somehow by saying his rights were being violated by him being removed or not having standby counsel when he went pro se, but the constitution is not a su*c*de pact and rights don't just exist unfettered by anything.
