To be honest and at the risk of sounding like an ass, it may be the best thing for him. He has flashes of greatness, but he releases these songs too quickly. He should fine tune some of them. For example. There were Pabst cans on the night stand where your jewelry is sitting now. That lyric is absolute gold. Perfect. Paints a picture of a scenario in a single line that you can write multiple paragraphs about. But then the chorus ending with that no qualms or questioning is clunky and it doesn't flow. It kills the song.
I saw the interview where you said you don’t know if you want to fully pursue music. If you make that choice and go with a stable career then yes that is the “smart” “reliable” decision but music takes risk Zach. Do you wanna be in your 40’s,50’s,60’s saying what if? Go get on tour and make something more out of this because you can. We get one shot at life and if you even have a chance at making what you do for a living being something you love then you SHOULD do it.

The honest-low production value (by this I mean that you get to get the full sense of who this guy is and what he is all about, singing on base and such) and absolute brute raw talent is what makes this phenomenal.
