When CH beat State Man ,P Townend says he didnt think he was at his best , now the same with Lossiemouth. . Sometimes you just have to take it on the chin & accept the other fellas better .
Lossiemouth had an off day , struggled to keep up but yet was only beaten by 1 second behind Constitution Hill at the finish , definitely one of the best hurdlers of the last 30 years or more so there’s lots to be grateful for by coming second to such a legend .
What a gentleman and he did give credit where it was due he's obviously disappointed with the performance of Lossiemouth unfortunately for him CH is a superstar of the sport
The man is an absolute genius. So insightful and straightforward. NH racing will never be the same again and its no bad thing that our own trainers need to up their game .
My thoughts, she wasn't comfortable with the pace. She finished well indicating she need further. CH, 365 days off. Beating a mare getting 7lbs who has only been beaten once previously. VG performance.
Agree with Mullins comments. Ballooning hurdles, didn't travel a furlong, surely not her running. Unlikely to ever beat the winner however I wouldn't think.
It was the early pace, she's a top class stayer, not a speedster! She always switches off and has a weird galloping style, reminds of Paula Ratcliff, never looks comfortable, head at a strange angle when under pressure. CH has such a stride with awesome impulsion, power and balance, he's the horse of a lifetime! I thought she ran to ger form and did herself proud; after all she got closer to CH than State Man did, so I'm not buying that excuse, based on their bigging up of State Man, they contradict themselves!
@@Ironsmiler - Looked like she ran her race or near it to me. While she could cruise past Teauphoo she would not do that to an on song Constitution Hill. Will wait for the RPRs though 🤔.
@@musicmike1972 RPRs are only someone's opinion mate, form your own! I'd have Lossiemouth half a stone below her best today, trouble for her is CH probably has 10-14lb to improve on todays performance, I personally do buy posh lads post-race reasoning that he "Blew" somewhat around the last. All in my humble of course.
Not sure why both Stateman and Lossie ran way behind the field when they faced CH. Was it an intentional tactics or they got outpaced? You can never beat CH by staying so far away from the pace.
He's a gentleman with a lot of class, he really looks after the horses. As it should be. His yard was my first yard, fresh out of Arab racing in the 90's, he's the best!
Predictably, a lot of Lossiemouth fans looking for excuses . For some it's hard to say they were wrong . Bottom line is CH is a REALLY special horse and can't have been 100%. Despite the excuses Lossiemouth did well , finishing closer than most....
According to some lossiemouth was a good thing, CH is finished to boring excuses that CH won...get a grip, he gave her 7lb and race fitness...she had her chance today and wasn't good enough.
Absolutely agree, lopping along at the back, giving first run to all and brought into the race too late. If you are playing catch up at the business end, you are asking to lose
Lossie just looked to me something bothering her as its usually hard to stop her sometimes to free. i thought she may be pulled up early on. Credit to her for finishing so close despite nico giving alot more whips to Constitution than paul. Always a sign in horses with hanging or diff head carriage which she did. Could be in season. No prob with her been beaten couple lenghts but never happy it appeared before first hurdle with all that natural speed shes got.
He hit CH twice, I counted on the slow motion and only after the last fence to wake him up. Lots of waving, but only 2 hits. Lossie was getting the whip 2 out to shake her up!
Bla bla...it wasnt good enough even with a massive weight allowance against a horse off a year and coming back from an injury. Beaten by a horse 85% fit.
Just ask PT what on earth he was doing so far back on Kempton fast ground over 2m”s needs slapping for that and Lossiemouth clearly not herself’ not helped by the jockey😢
How's about Lossiemouth just isn't as good as CH. Nothing is. Lossiemouth is an exceptional mare capable of beating most of the boys but CH is a phenomenon. Any ground bias or jockey ride is more than offset by CH not running for a year and having colic.
Mr Mullins, the moment Martin Lewis tipped your horse you shouldn't have been happy😆
😂 👏 bravo sir
Anyone seen Martin?
@@bentonks7751 he's here now😂

Ha ha ha ha
Ch gave Lossiemouth the 7lb mares allowance after being absent for 1 year and beat her easily.
Not easily
@johnedwards2117 it was pretty easy to be honest. Never looked like losing and is probably only 80% race fit.
Love Willie but absolutely delighted constitution hill was back to his best

For all the excuse searching, CH is different gravy over two miles, and he will come on a ton. Lossie will go for the mares at Cheltenham.
I agree with William but she will not beat the Hill, he will improve.
Agree! I never thought she could or would!
She couldnt keep up with a horse having first run for over a year, despite being 100% race fit.
