This is my second in a series of rating products. I hope you enjoy! Next week is a sew-along, with me fully altering a dress, followed by my 3rd in series of rating sewing products. Take care! ❤
This was quite informative! I have clients who ask me all the time if I can recommend a steamer. Now I'll go on your good word! Love your sense of humor...."this is like Christmas morning..." (admission: I giggled, too!) Thanks for the massive amount of time that you took to make and edit this video!
I have a mini steamfast like the first unit you demonstrated. I just use it next to my sewing machine for quick pressing seams as I sew. I have a larger Steamfast, model SF447, that I use for actual steaming. It spits and that scares the crud out of me because I’m afraid it will water mark the fabric! I don’t know the cost since it was a gift from my hubby. Your video is extremely helpful! Thanks for sharing! ❤
That little iron really isn't a steamer. It's primarily a travel iron and used by quilters who press at the machine. It's great for its intended purpose and that's how I use mine. I have the second one for my dance wear and formal wear and get mixed results. It does steam really well. I use distilled water. I usually use it locked on so I don't have to hold the button. I will have to try it steaming from the back. Maybe that's the trick I need. Thanks for the tip.
Yes, for the first iron, I think they just represented it poorly on the packaging. It would do fine as you described. But, it doesn't operate as the picture shows.
You think these companies even try out these products before selling them? *big sigh (But you are hilarious and delightful, please continue this series.)

Thanks for watching & for being so sweet
Yes!!! Been wanting a steamer but too lazy to figure out which one is the right one.😊
Really helpful video. I wish I had seen it before I purchased my steamer. Although I might give it another go after watching your steaming technique.

It's amazing how different each of these machines perform, huh? I was really surprised by that. I expected more similarities.
Thanks for reviewing these products
