I don't. It had to go as the family grew and so dod the camper. I couldn't get all 6 of us with the dogs and pull a 30 foot camper with it and hope I didn't break anything while playing. I switched over to RZR'S so I can still trail ride but they are easier to carry.
I looked through your videos. Did you ever end up building a front sway bar? Ive got a 91 suburban that I'm building that I'd like to put crossover on but think I would like to keep a sway bar as well with so much weight high in the air. beings that it's a vehicle for camping and excursions that's loaded down pretty good,I'd like to keep the road manners decent.
I haven't had any issues to date. I haven't got to use it hard yet either off road so as far as on road driving/braking/quick accelerating they have been great.
great videos of the jimmy!!!! post some of those springs and axles flexin for us bud! I have a 91 full size jimmy im currently working on. I just want to keep it cheap and very very practical. I have the 4" lift EZ ride springs on my jimmy all around and boy does she ride like a two horse wagon!! gezzzz. Got any advice?
Do those leaf springs give you problems with wrap-up, chatter or wheel hop under hard acceleration & braking? I'm thinking about running 2004 Chevy 3500 leaf springs on all 4 corners of my rig; still exploring options.
I drove a 92 dodge w250 cummins with 02 dodge ram axles on 37's with cross over steering. So it sits pretty high my question why does the front axle feel like it's moving a shit ton going down roads and is there anything I can do to fix it? Want to know because I'm considering buying this truck.
powerram92 You could be experiencing what's called "death wobble where the steering wheel goes side to side violently while driving. A lot of times when people lift a truck the don't consider caster on the front end. They just shim the front axle to make a good driveshaft angle. What that does is roll the axle too far forward (think the top ball joint rolls toward the front of the truck). When you do that it will wobble a lot. Look at the front wheel on a shopping cart. Notice how the wheel is leaned back. Same thing. The correct fix is to make sure all ball joints and the rod ends are good, a steering stabilizer helps, but most important is the caster angle. You may need a cut and turn on the axle.
Eric's Projects if I send you pictures would you be able to tell if that's what needed to be done? Also how hard is it to get the correct caster able? it didn't feel like death wobble at least to me but I was also on a 2 lane road going around corners. Maybe I need to test drive it again lol.
powerram92 Something like that is just too hard to tell from pictures. Wheel bearings, ball joints, the rod ends, steering joints all take some hands on feel and sight to know the condition.
Gas tank ratchet strapped on, it's a family rig!
Heck yeah! My family has to be prepared for any of dad's shenanigans.
You still have the k5?

is that lift ammount just from the spring swap and zero rates?
Throw some send in each tire to balance
